It was another cold night in Snowdin. Everyone was chilling inside Grillby's bar as a snow storm roared outside. The fire man looked over to a short skeleton and huffed. "Have you decided to pay off your tab yet, Sans?"

He chuckled "nope."

He looked annoyed. "You better pay it off soon. And I don't think Papyrus wants you to stay out any longer than you have already."

He nodded and finished off his ketchup. "well. later Grilbz."

"Be careful out there Sans! This storm looks worse than any other I've seen." Grillby said, waving him off.

Sans waved his hand and left the bar, starting she short walk home.

It wasn't long before something caught his attention. A figure laying under a tree, shivering and shaking horribly.

He walked over to them. "hey."

They sat up, a worn blanket falling off a small girl, shivering and holding it close. "H-he-ello?"

"Do you need a place to stay?" He asked.

She swallowed and nodded, staying quiet.

"You can stay with me and my bro if you want." He shrugged.

She nodded again and slowly stood, holding the blanket close and shaking. She was so thin you could see the outline of HER bones!

He took a short cut into his home with her.

She was quiet and very slowly with her walking, holding her hand out slightly as she did so.

He held it and took to the couch. "Are you hungry."

She looked down slightly, pulling her hand away from his boney one, nodding.

"I think we have some leftovers, let me take a look he said before going to the kitchen.

Papyrus was in the kitchen, cooking spaghetti once again. "Ah! Sans, welcome home brother! How was your night?"

He shrugged "it was alright. Hey, I found this monster out in the storm. She looks pretty hungry."

"She?? You've brought a female monster home??" He turned to his brother, staring at him with wide sockets.

He shrugged "why does it surprise you?"

Papyrus grabbed a bowl and put a big scoop of spaghetti in it, then a fork. "Nevermind that brother! Here you go, one bowl of spaghetti crafted and cooked by The GRRRRRREAT Papyrus! Nyehehehe!"

Sans smiled "you're so cool bro." He left and gave the bowl to the girl.

She smelt the food and reached out slowly, totally missing it. It was obvious now that she was blind.

He sat next to her and put the bowl in her lap.

She nodded and felt around for the fork and slowly picked it up and started to eat slowly. It was food. And that made it delicious. Her lips slowly curled into a slight smile as she took another bite. "Mmm~"

Sans was amazed. She LIKED it?! Well she was pretty thin. Maybe it tasted good because she hasn't eaten in a long time?

She finished half of the bowl and hiccuped, putting a hand over her mouth slightly.

He chuckled "like it?"

She gave him a nodded, holding the bowl on her lap.

He took it "want seconds?"

She shook her head. "...'m ful...." She said quietly, almost hard to make out.

He nodded and gave her a warm blanket. "I'll wash you blanket. Is that okay?"

She nodded slowly.

He took it "is there anything else you need?"

She thought and reached into her pocket, taking out a paper and pen. She wrote a sloppy note slowly and set it next to her. "What is your name?"

"Sans." He answered.

She nodded and opened her mouth. "I-I'm.... A-Ala-na."

"alana?"

She nodded.

"What happened?"

Alana tiled her head.

"You were out in she snow. Why?"

She blinked and thought, then shrugged, rubbing her head when she felt a slight pain.

He put a hand on her shoulder "it's alright. Just get some rest."

She jumped slightly when he put a hand on her shoulder. Alana nodded slowly and moved away slightly from his hand as she laid down, covering herself with the blanket.

Sans nodded "I'll be in my room upstairs. Yell if you need me."

She sat up slightly and opened her mouth but then closed it and laid back down, pulling the blanket over her shoulders and cuddling a pillow that was on the couch. It was so soft and warm. "Hmmmm..." That man was nice too. But he felt like a skeleton. Maybe he was just really thin, like her! There was some hope there!

Papyrus looked at them from the kitchen and smiled. Sans was always so kind to other monsters! He did learn from The Great Papyrus after all!~

He was such a good teacher.

He let out a yawn and stretched, shuddered slightly making his ribs rattle together. "I wonder why Undyne is doing! Maybe I should call her!" Papyrus smiled and called her up.

Undine picked up "hey Papyrus!"

"Undyne! I was wondering if there are any guard duties I need to know of to complete tonight!" (:D)

"If you can stand your post you'll be just fine."

"Are you sure?"

"I'm sure Papyrus. You're doing great!"

"Well... I am The Great Papyrus! Thank you, Undyne! Bye bye!" He hung up and took a deep breath, exhaling with a smile. "Time to get to my post!"

Little did he know that he was close to a promotion.

Papyrus arrived to his post and stood guard, thinking about what new kind of spaghetti recipe to cook the next day. What about chocolate spaghetti?!

Grillby had to kick out yet another drunk, hating it when they got violent or bothersome.

A fish monster walked in wearing a coat. She was around Grillby's Niece's age. "Burr!" She giggled with a sharp toothy grin.

"Hello, Undyne." He said, looking up from a table he was cleaning off.

She tilted her head to the side "I'm not Undyne." She walked over to the bar and sat down.

He blinked. "Oh, my apologies miss. You reminded me of a friend." Grillby said kindly, walking behind the counter and handing her a menu. "Would you care for a drink?"

She shook her head "no. I'm just looking for my sister. Do you know where I can find her?"

"Do you have a photo I could see?"

"You called me her." She said simply.

"Oh! I didn't know she had a sister. There's a phone you can use over there to contact her if you'd like." Grillby wrote down her number and then pointed to a pay phone by a juke box.

She took it "thank you, sir." She went over to the phone and called her.

There was no answer. She sighed and left the bar.

Grillby frowned and spoke to her before she could leave. "Hey. Why don't you stay here so the storm can pass and you can have a safe travel after?" He suggested, filling a cup with hot chocolate and sticking a candy cane in it.

She turned and smiled at him "I have to find her as soon as possible. Family business." She left the tavern and started to make her way to the waterfall.

Grillby frowned and closed the bar, holding the cup oh hot chocolate and taking out his phone and shooting Undyne a text. "Hey. Your sister is trying to get a hold of you. She went to the water fall."

She responded. " that's not possible. The way I came was sealed up years ago."

Grillby blinked.

"I haven't even heard from them in years."

"Then.... Who was this fish girl that came into my bar looking for you saying she needed to deal with "family matters"?"

"I don't know. And I don't know how she got here either."

"Do you think she fell?"

"I don't know how. I'm pretty sure there aren't any monsters on the surface."

"Strange."

"It is. But I do have no doubt that she is my sister."

"Would you like me to keep an eye on her?"

"If you don't mind."

"No problem."

Undine sighed. "She's gonna get lost." She said softly to herself.

Grillby followed the fish girl and hid.

It was obvious that she did not know her way around the underground.

He walked over to her. "Are you sure you don't need a place to stay?"

She shook her head "I'm good."

"Do you know where you're going?"

She paused "I'll know it when I see it."

Grillby rolled his eyes and sat down next to one of many blue flowers. He leaned over to one and whispered something softly.

She kept walking. Leaving no trace.

He followed her again, texting Undyne updates once in a while.

She got a drink of water from the water cooler before making it to the Mettaton hotel.

"She's checking into the MTT Hotel."

He watched as she walked in but then froze, feeling uneasy, like something was wrong.

There were cameras.

He looked into one of them. She was a new monster. Oh no. Grillby went to the counter and asked which room she checked into.

She didn't.

He blinked. "What?"

"Yeah she just said that she was looking for someone.

"Could you maybe tell me which way she went?"

"Towards Mettaton's suite."

He nodded and hurried, knowing this wasn't going to end particularly well...

She was with Mettaton, asking for directions.

He watched and listened carefully.

"Escuse me, could you please give me some directions?"

"Ah, Why of course darling!~" Mettaton cooed, looked down at the fish girl.

"So you know where Undine lives?" She asked simply.

Gosh she was adorable. Mettaton squealed and hugged the little fish girl. "Oh my GOODNESS darling, you're so precious!~ And yes I do know where she lives."

She gasped and looked up at him with wide eyes "really?! Oh thank you!" She hugged him back.

He smiled and set her down. "I simply LOVE your outfit! It's so interesting!" (030)

She giggled "why thank you! Yours isn't bad either."

He posed dramatically. "Why thank you darling!~"

She giggled. "So, where does my sister live?"

Mettaton told her where and gave her a magazine and two VIP tickets to his next show. "Why don't you try and bring your sister or a friend along? Maybe bring a cutie with ya and we could play a game?~"

She nodded and hugged him "thank you!"

He smiled widely and hugged her back. "No problem darling! Now go along and find her!~"

She nodded "I'll see you soon!" She called as she ran off."

Mettaton waved and then turned to Grillby. "You know if a guy chases after a girl, that means-"

"You know darn well I'm just watching over her for Undyne. Don't start spreading rumors and causing drama, Mettaton."

They both could tell how naïve she is.

Grillby left and followed the girl again.

She made it to Undine.

Grillby watched carefully.

The mood was tense. something serious happened in the family. Something about financials and parents not being able to take care of her younger sibling? And then....the the medical bills to keep their mother on life support.

Grillby frowned and knocked on her front door, getting his composure and putting a blank face on.

Undine answered "Hey Grillby."

He waved. "Hey. I just came by to... see if your sister came over safely." Grillby said in a tone sounding like he knew kinda what was up and gave Undyne a slight look.

Undyne nodded and shut the door behind her. "Thanks for that. I should probably tell you why she shouldn't be here."

"Please do."

"We are from a small village in a cavern of the underground. But right when I started being a guard to the Royal army, there was the earthquake. It's sealed off the only entrance and exit to that cavern. Leaving me and the rest of the village separated."

Grillby frowned and nodded, putting a hand on her shoulder. "I'm so sorry."

Undyne nodded. "And that's why she shouldn't be here. That seal would be impossible to remove."

"But if she is here, how did she get here if that was the only way out?"

"That's what I'm thinking. And I'm scared for her to be out here. She's a little too trusting."

"Yeah I can tell. She went to Mettaton and asked for directions to your place...." Grillby thought for a bit then looked back to Undyne. "Why don't you let her stay with me while you try and figure things out on your end, that way she's safe and you can focus on your job and family matters?" He suggested.

She looked at him "You sure? You've already done so much."

He smiled. "It's no problem really. It would be nice to have some company anyways."

She nodded "then she can stay with you."

He nodded and sighed, shivering slightly.

"Why don't you come in for a bit?"

"Thank you." He bowed his head slightly and walked in.

It was nice and warm, the girl sleeping on the couch.

"I'm sorry about your mother, Undyne..."

Grillby looked at the time and then back to Undyne. "Should I carry her back to my place or would you rather want me to wait til tomorrow to pick her up?"

"I'll take her over."

He nodded. "Alright. I'll see you tomorrow then."

Undyne nodded and opened the door for him.

Grillby left.

Sans watched Alana wondering where she came from.

She didn't really look like a monster of any kind he knows of. Is she maybe human?

He went over and checked her stats.

Her HP was really low! And her soul was.... grey and cracked.

He looked at the shape of her heart. It looked kind of awkward in shape. But was it a heart or a spade? He couldn't tell.

Alana began to squirm, shifting in her sleep and turning away from him, her soul disappearing.

He frowned before his spine went cold. Was she created by Gaster?

She stretched slightly, one of her bones popping making her sit up and hold her leg, a slightly pained expression on her face.

He went over to her "hey, it's gonna be alright. Let me heal you."

She gasped and sat up quickly, scooting away from him.

"Hey, let me help." He said calmly "I don't want to hurt you."

Her soul was glowing a grayish tone as she curled up, a pillow floating slowly then suddenly hitting him weakly, falling to the floor.

He frowned and made a green bone aiming it at her.

She was shaking so much. "S....Sa....Sans?"

"Don't worry. This won't hurt a bit." He said softly, sending the bone at her, restoring some of her HP.

She squeaked and held herself. It didn't hurt. She opened her eyes slightly and swallowed. Her sight was blurry. She blinked as everything started to get more blurry. Alana reached out one of her hands slightly, wondering if Sans was still there. She touched some bones that shifted. Her eyes widened and she pulled away.

"What is it?" He asked reaching out to her, her vision starting to clear.

She opened her mouth slightly and tried to speak, but it barely came out. ".... S-ske-let-on?...."

He nodded "Yah. That's what I am."

She reached out shakily, her hand close to his skull.

He brought his head closer to her hand so she could feel.

She gasped, feeling the bone against her thin and dainty hand. Her other hand reached out and gently held the other side of his head. Alana's thumbs rubbed his cheek bones softly, sending a shiver up her spine.

He had a very round skull and a smile that never seemed to leave.

"You...... A-are a skelet-ton...." Alana said shakily, slowly pulling her hands away.

He nodded "are you surprised?"

She nodded slowly.

He chuckled "oh well. By the way, your blanket is clean."

She nodded again, looking down. "T-thank you..."

He smiled and handed it to her.

She took it and held it close, sighing when she felt the warmth. She looked away and frowned a bit. "I wanna..... go home....

"Where is it?" He asked.

"A dark room...... I-in the ruins... with my papa."

Sans nodded "what's his name?"

"G-aster."

He's eyes dilated. "A-are you sure?"

She nodded and smiled.

Something about Gaster set him off.

"He never said.... a-anything about.... my mother."

Sans nodded "was she a human?"

She shrugged and scratched the back of her neck, her sleeve going down and showing numbers and letters tattooed on her arm. "A7-C25"

Sans looked at it "did he experiment on you?"

She tilted her head. "What do.... you mean?"

He pulled out his hand and showed her a hand plate.

She didn't see it.

"He did so on me."

Alana frowned. "H-how?"

"He ruined one of my eyes.

She swallowed and reached for his face with both hands, caressing his cheeks. "W-which one?"

One of his eyes glowed blue, the other a dark socket.

She could faintly make out a blue light. "I-is that glowing light.... your eye, Sans?"

"Yah, it is."

Her bottom lip began to tremble.

"What is it?" He asked taking her cheek.

She flinched slightly and closed her eyes, swallowing. "I-I'm sorry my dad... h-hurt you Sans...."

He nodded "you had nothing to do with it." He said softly.

Alana blinked her tears away and rubbed her eyes.

"If you need a place to stay, you can say here."

She nodded and slowly hugged him, shivering when she felt his bones. "T-thank you..."

He nodded "you're welcome."

She pulled away and rubbed her eyes, feeling a discomfort in them. "I wish I.... could see..."

"Hmm. Maybe we could talk to Alphys."

"Alphys?" She asked.

"She's the royal scientist."

"O-okay..."

They went to Alphys.

Alana holding Sans' boney hand the whole way there. It made her feel safe.

When they arrived, Alphys was fangirling over her favorite anime. Kissy kissy mew mew.

She turned around and saw Sans and a white haired girl. "Ah! S-S-Sans! Who is t-that you have Th-there with you?"

"Her name is Alana. I found her last night. Can you see what's up with her?"

"S-sure thing!" She nodded and extended a hand to Alana.

Sans nodded "it's okay, she's a friend."

Alana reached out slowly for her hand, missing it completely. Alphys frowned sadly and took her hand. "Let me c-check your e-eyes first alright?" She said, getting a nod from Alana.

Sans sighed and waited.

Alphys came back with several papers and a worried look on her face, Alana waiting in the other room. "I-I saw the t-tattooed code on h-her arm. Sh-she's mostly b-blind and sh-she's very malnourished. B-but when I took a look a-at her s-soul...."

Sans nodded "Yah?"

"I-it's breaking and deformed in an odd way. I-I could try t-to fix it but I-I doubt she would m-make it..."

Sans nodded and looked at her. "I tried some of my green magic on her. It made her go from blind to everything being blurry."

"H-how long did it l-last?"

"Until we came here."

She nodded and wrote it down. "W-well now she c-can't see anything. I-I want you to use that-t green magic o-on her soul and see if you can heal it a-at all."

Sans nodded and want over to Alana "can I use magic on you again?" He asked politely.

She swallowed and shook her head, pulling her knees to her chest. "N-no!"

"We want to try and fix your soul."

"Y-you can't.... M-my dad has a-already tried..." Alana said as the stared ahead, eyes more cloudy.

He sat across from her. "Can you tell me what happened to it?" He asked softly.

"M-my dad told m-me that when I was b-born my soul w-was already shattered. H-he fixed it the best he c-could but h-he gave up."

Sans looked at her "have you ever seen your mother?"

She shook her head. "I was b-born blind..."

He nodded. "How about your soul."

She frowned and cupped her hands, her soul coming out, still grey, cracked and deformed.

He looked up at her "may I?"

Her cheeks went a bit pink and she shook her head hesitantly, holding it close.

"Alana, the condition of your soul is getting worse by the day. We just want to help before it's too late."

Alana swallowed and slowly held out her soul to him, shaking.

Sans began to use green magic on it.

She tensed up and squeaked, eyes watering as she gripped the paper sheets on the cot. A grey magic formed around some objects making them start to float. Alphys swallowed as her eyes widened. "S-Sa-Sans??"

It looked painful, but the cracks were closing.

Alana suddenly let out a pained shriek as the objects that were lifted with her magic flew towards Alphys and Sans.

Bones rose to protect them, her soul being halfway healed.

Her souls disappeared as she slammed her body against the wall, knocking all the air out of her as everything was was floating from her magic fell.

Her body didn't hurt as much.

Alana started to relax slightly, still shaking.

Sans stood back in case of another attack.

She looked like she was uneasy. Her eyes looked worse than before. "W-why is it.... s-o dark?"

He got closer to her "can you see?"

She reached out slowly, a hand making contact with his skull softly. Alana frowned and shook her head. Her soul slowly formed in her lap, beginning to crack again, then faded away.

Sans frowned and pulled her into a hug "I'm sorry, Alana."

Alphys frowned and went to her computer, looking something. "I-I would l-like to run another t-test really q-quick."

Alana hugged Sans back softly, sniffling.

He pet her hair "it's okay."

Alphys came over, holding some little stickers with wires connecting them to a machine. "Alana, I-I want to d-do one more test on y-your soul.

She sniffled and pulled away form Sans, holding her soul out hesitantly.

Sans nodded and held Alana's hand tight.

Alphys put a few of the stickers on her soul and then turned on the machine. A little screen turned on, showing a slow and sad pulse. "J-just as I th-thought."

"What is it?" He asked.

"Sh-she must have b-been born with a b-broken heart. I-it gets w-weaker with every s-sad thought or o-occurrence."

"Is there anything we can do to help?"

"W-we need her t-to experience a very strong h-happiness. L-little happiness can help too, b-but we would n-need a lot of it f-for her soul t-to be f-fixed completely." She explained, adjusting her glasses.

Sans nodded and gave Alana a price of paper and a pen. What makes you happy?"

Alana thought and shrugged. "I-I don't... know."

Sans thought for a bit. "Well, I guess I'm gonna have to find what makes you happy."

She nodded and shivered, feeling cold.

Alphys took the stickers off and sent them home.

Alana held Sans' hand as they walked. Only then did she feel her cheeks start to warm up softly and her stomach feel weird. Why was he always so nice to her? "S-Sans?"

He looked at her "Yah?"

Alana just kept looking ahead as they walked. "W-why do my cheeks become so warm w-when I hold your hand?"

The thought for a bit and shrugged "I don't know."

She nodded and kept walking with him.

Does she like him without realizing it?? He looked at her. 'No way.'

Her pink cheeks really stuck out from her greyish look.

SHE DID! His cheek bones began to tint blue.

Alana stumbled slightly, feeling something hit her foot. "Ow!"

Sans stopped and looked down to see that had happened.

She had stubbed her foot into a tree root, cutting it slightly.

He bent down and took care of it, kissing it do it'd feel better he was done.

She tensed up suddenly, flinching. "W-what was... t-that?"

"A tree branch. Don't worry, I fixed it."

She nodded and swallowed, cheeks flushing softly.

He smiled, finding her cute.

"I-I have a-a question..."

"What is it?"

"If y-your a skeleton... Can y-you literally.... l-like fall apart o-or take y-yourself apart?"

He nodded "Yah."

She shivered and nodded, looking down as they walked.

Why was she being so shy? "What's wrong?" He asked softly.

"H-huh?"

"I don't remember you being this shy."

Her cheeks grew a bit more pink. That's when her HP appeared above her, very slightly going up from 1 to 2.5 HP. But it was gonna be a long ways to go for her to heal- all the way up to 1,000 HP. There was no way a normal monster or human could have that kind of HP.

Sans intertwined his fingers with hers and eyed it.

She blushed more, HP going up to 5. Alana looked to him and pulled her hand away, HP going down to 4. "W-what are you d-doing?"

Sans smiled. "What? I just wanted to hold your hand. After all, you have pretty smooth skin."

She didn't see his smile, but she could tell he had one by the way he spoke. Her HP went up to 6.5 HP.

So kindness and happiness does help her. He couldn't help but like her more and more. The higher her HP got, that less depressed she looked.

"P-please stop flirting, S-Sans... I-I know you're just t-trying to b-be nice and help m-me get better, b-but I..." Her HP began to lower quickly.

So she has low confidence too... He sighed and took her hand. "it's not just that I'm trying to help you, it's also because I like you. Maybe, I want to flirt so I have a shot with being with such a pretty girl as well as helping her."

Her cheeks turned more pink and she pulled away, backing into a tree. Her HP went up to 12! He liked HER. He wanted to be with HER. No one else.

"B-but why me? W-why not another m-monster?" She looked down, knowing he was probably looking at her and coming closer.

He shrugged "sure, we're friends, but there's never really been a pull to any of them. You're different, and I like it."

She could feel his breath on her face slightly making her HP go up to 18.

He smiled "does that answer your question?"

Alana shrugged, starting to shake. "W-why can I-I feel your b-breath on m-my face?"

"Because I'm close to you." He said softly.

"I-I..." lShe could feel her heart beating hard and fast in her chest, her legs beginning to feel weak and her whole body trembling at his closeness.

His teeth touched her cheek before taking a step back.

She squeaked and slid to the ground, covering her face. Her HP shot up to 45.

He walked over and sat next to her and looked out at waterfall.

"M-my chest hurts..."

He looked at her "what it it?"

"W-when you got really c-close my chest began to h-hurt... b-but it felt l-like a good hurt..."

Sans nodded "that's good to hear." His fingers touching hers.

Alana tensed up and pulled her hand away slightly.

He was making her uncomfortable wasn't he... He scooted away from her, giving her space.

She looked up suddenly and looked around. "D-dad?"

Sans looked around for Gaster.

He wasn't around, not anywhere.

Alana slowly stood, HP slowly starting to go up as she began to walk. 'Follow my voice, Alana....' She heard him say, making her way into the ruins.

Sans followed.

She made her way through the ruins and to a door. She opened it slowly and came in. "Dad? Is that you?"

There was a black blob before her with a white face.

She smiled and reached out to him. "H-Hi papa."

Black goo got all over her.

She giggled and wiped her face.

How was she not scared?

He seemed to speak to her telepathically. 'I am glad your home, Alana...' He said, reaching for her shakily.

She smiled and reached back to his hand, which was oddly solid and held it to her cheek. "I wish you c-could.... come o-out and see t-the world w-with me..."

Her HP was so high it was shocking.

Her HP was about halfway filled when she pulled her hand away and it stopped, her head looking down as she frowned. "I know...."

But she could break the barrier. When she became strong enough.

'You know why you were born... You're very special... And I want you to fulfill my dream for you... and your mother...'

She nodded and looked up.

"You w-want me to break t-the
barrier, a-and see t-the human world..."

But... she might not make it. It might not even break.

He caressed her cheek and kissed her forehead. 'I know you can do it... I believe in you.'

Alana smiled and nodded. "I pr-promise to make you p-proud."

Sans frowned. What kind of father would put his only child at risk.

That's when Alana kissed Gaster's cheek and left, closing the door. "I s-should go find S-Sans." She said to herself, beginning to walk back to the waterfall carefully.

There was a door before her. Before there were knocks. "Knock knock."

She jumped. "W-who's there?"

"Orange."

"H-huh? Orange w-who?"

"Orange you glad to see your friend?" Sans chuckled.

She giggled and opened up the door, stepping out.

Sans stood before her with a smile.

She reached out to him with a hand.

He took hers.

She blushed and held it. "T-thank you f-for your kindness S-Sans."

He smiled "any time, Alana."

She lifted her other hand and shakily set it on his cheek bone, cheeks flushing.

He blushed and out a hand on her waist, pulling her close.

She began to lean in, but hesitated when their faces were inches away, setting her head on his shoulder.

Sans held her close and rubbed her back.

"I-I'm sorry... I c-couldn't do it..."

"It's fine."

She sighed. "Is it r-really, Sans?" Alana asked, not believing him.

He nodded "it is."

She lifted her head off his shoulder and exhaled shakily, leaning in slowly, gently kissing him.

He kissed her back, his teeth pressed against her lips.

She squeaked and blushed, hands shaking as they rested on his shoulders.

He pulled away and looked at her.

Her face was flushed and she was trembling.

He smiled a bit "You Alright?"

She nodded shyly.

He smiled "why don't we go home?"

Undyne's sister was at Grillby's being a waitress.

Grillby kept an eye on her and the customers she interacted with just so nothing would happen.

She seemed to be doing just fine. But... he never got her name.

When she came over to give him someone's order he asked, "What's your name?"

She smiled "Ghoti."

He nodded and gave her the drink the customer ordered. "I'm Grillby."

Ghoti went to go and wait on tables being a happy thing.

Grillby smiled to himself slightly and continued his job.

Ghoti was in the middle of taking an order before her would be romantic interest walked through the door.

"GOOD AFTERNOON, DARLINGS!~" Mettaton cooed when he strutted inside.

"Oh, hi Mettaton!" The girl from earlier greeted him.

He looked to her and squealed, picking her up and hugging her tightly. "You're uniform is absolutely devine!~ So adorable!~"

She giggled and hugged him back. "Oh why thank you!"

He set her down and gave her head a kiss before walking to the bar to talk to Grillby and have a drink.

H-he kissed her cheek?! She smiled and went to drop off an order and give out food. So naïve. So susceptible.

She smiled and went to drop off an order and give out food. So naïve. So susceptible.

Mettaton sat down and ordered a drink. Grillby slide him the drink and sighed. "Don't kiss her head like that. She's a naïve girl and she could get the wrong idea."

He was a star. She didn't even know how big. But if he wanted to. He could destroy her happy demeanor.

"Oh it's fiiine. Don't worry about it." Mettaton said, sipping his drink.

The shot was strong. It was perfect.

"Ahh~ That was a good one."

There were whispers all around him saying his name.

Papyrus walked into the bar, quickly rushing over to Grillby. "GRILLBY! I CAN'T FIND SANS!!!"

Grillby sighed, drying off a shot glass. "Maybe he's at his hot dog stand again, Papyrus. Now how about you take a seat and please lower your voice."

Papyrus groaned and sat down, tapping his skull at he thought. "Where could that brother of mine have gone off to?"

Ghoti gave him a menu and walked off.

"Thank you tiny Undyne- A TINY UNDYNE?!"

She was so smol and cute.

He ran up to her and picked her up. "OH MY GOD, UNDYNE! HOW ARE YOU SO TINY AND CUTE NOW??"

She cried out "I'm not Undyne!"

"Eh? Then who are you?"

"I'm her sister!"

"Undyne has a sister?? OH MY GOD- GRILLBY! UNDYNE HAS A CUTE LITTLE SISTER!!!" Papyrus said to him loudly.

Ghoti his her face out of embarrassment.

Undyne kicked the door down "PAPYRUS PUT FISH DOWN!"

Papyrus jumped slightly and put her down.

Grillby sighed, facepalming himself.

"Why aren't you at your post Sentry?!"

"I was looking for Sans! He wasn't at home or his post so I went to look for him!"

She paused "you don't know where he is?"

"Yeah! He's been missing ever since he found that blind human gi-" Papyrus covered his mouth quickly with his hands. "Oops..."

"Did you say human?"

"N-no! Not at all! S-Sans didn't find a defenseless little human at all yesterday!" He laughed nervously, looking away and then back to Undyne over and over.

She glared at him. And turned around "find him."

Papyrus frowned and nodded, walking out.

Grillby frowned and looked to Undyne. "Why not give the human a chance? He said it's blind so I doubt it could be that dangerous-" Suddenly, Undyne's phone began to ring.

"Because the last one mated with a monster." She picked up.

Grillby nodded and went back to work.

"U-Undyne! I need to t-talk to you!" It was Alphys! And she sounded panicked.

"Be right there." She ran to Alphys.

All of Alphys' machines were going crazy as she ran around trying to gather all the papers that were being printed and checking the information that was going into her computer at the same time.

Undyne entered "what's going on?"

"I-I was checking o-on some vitals f-for Sans' friend because I w-was curious about h-her HP. N-now my machines w-won't stop!!!"

"What about her HP?" She asked looking at all of the hullabaloo.

She swallowed and picked up a paper after looking for it then handed to her, hesitantly and shakily.

"I-it was s-supposed to be filled u-up to 1,000 HP, a-and that's about en-enough to-"

"Break the Barrier." Undyne said under her breath.

"I-I called you h-here because I-I want you to k-keep an eye on h-her."

Undyne nodded "understood."

A little beeping sound suddenly came from the security camera room

Alphys ran over and looked, eyes widening. "O-oh my gosh! S-she's at the b-b-barrier! A-and with S-Sans!!!"

Undyne ran to the Barrier.

Ghoti looked at Mettaton hesitantly. "What's a human?"

Mettaton shrugged. "I heard that they're really dangerous and the reason why all the monsters are underground."

Alana kept taking one step after the other towards the barrier, in a trance like state.

Ghoti rubbed her arm. "I don't know if I want to go to the surface just yet."

Sans was trying to pull her back but to no avail before she was picked up by her collar by Undyne.

"Don't worry darling, you don't have to if you don't want to." He pulled her close, giving her a hug.

She reached for the barrier, her fingers inches away. A sudden shock hit her, making her HP go all the way down to 2, making her body tense up then go limp, breathing shakily.

Ghoti hugged him back.

The barrier.... was not affected. She may have looked human, but she didn't have a human soul.

He smiled softly and rubbed her back. "You're safe down here."

She twitched and coughed harshly. "W-why didn't.... I-it work?"

Ghoti nodded and rested her head on his metal chest.

Sans looked at the barrier. "Because only a human soul can break the barrier. Your soul is a combination of a human's and a monster's."

Sans grabbed her hand softly and pulled her hand away and shook his head "it'll kill you and it still wouldn't be enough."

"B-but I have to f-fulfill my d-dad's dream... I-I don't care if I-I turn t-to dust!" Alana's cloudy eyes welled up with tears.

She frowned and pulled away slowly. "B-but then he w-would be g-gone.... I-I'd have no-b-body else." She walked past them with an around around here chest slightly, feeling her pulse and the other reaching out to feel her way out.

A bony hand was placed on her shoulder "what makes you think that?"

"Because m-my dad has a-always been t-there for me..." She shifted her shoulder in a way that made his hand get off, then she walked away and into Snowdin.

It was cold. And her father couldn't get to her. And she couldn't fulfill his wish.

Ghoti left Grillby's to clear her head.

What kind of daughter was she if she couldn't help her father? She felt a stabbing pain in her chest, making her stumble backwards and into a tree, sliding down to the cold snow, HP down to 1. She trembled and shivered from the frost nipping at her thin body, eyelids feeling heavy. "I'm s-sorry dad..."

That robot... Why was he so beautiful??? Ghoti looked up and saw someone against the tree making her run over "Hey!"

It was a girl! And she was sleeping, out in the snow?

She went over and took her to her room.

Her HP was almost gone! It was only at 1!

She grabbed her green scarf and wrapped it around her neck softly.

She was shivering badly. Grillby came in as he talked. "Ghoti, where have you been? Remember I have to keep an eye on y- oh god." He rushed over and looked down at them both.

"I found her out by the tree." She said softly as the green scarf slowly began to restore HP.

He nodded and went to his bedroom and then came back, wrapping the girl in a thick and soft blanket.

She looked at Grillby. "Is she gonna be okay?"

He nodded, his body giving off a warm heat, helping the girl's HP to increase faster. "She's just really malnourished and cold. She needs to warm up and eat something."

Grillby waited til Ghoti was gone before he looked at how much HP the girl was supposed to have, eyes widening. "1,000? Is that even possible?" He said to himself in a whisper.

Ghoti made a nice and warm soup before closing up the bar, getting help from Mettaton.

Mettaton followed her, chatting with her.

"So why was everyone surprised when you walked in?" She asked putting dishes away.

"Oh! I'm a star here in the undergrounds!" He said, posing.

She raised a brow. "Like... in the sky?"

He chuckled and shook his head. "No no no, darling," he took out a flier that showed when his next show was. "This kind of star!"

She looked at it. "Why would someone idolize another person?"

"Because they look up tot hat person. They wish to be either like that person or they just like what they do!" Mettaton explained, fixing his hair.

She blinked "I don't get it."

Mettaton thought and then looked to Undyne. "Darling could you explain what it means to be a star to your sister? I'm out of ideas..."

Undyne shrugged " you already explained to her. She just doesn't see why she should act like everyone else."

He nodded.

Ghoti just stood there before going to the broom to sweep the floors, her skirt swishing around her fishy legs.

'She is so cute!~'

Undyne eyes Mettaton before leaving.

Ghoti handed him a broom "can you help?"

He took it hesitantly and thought for a second before giving her a smile and nodded. "Sure thing."

She smiled and went to sweeping, asking him questions about preforming.

He answered truthfully and then started to talk about how hard it was also.

She paused and looked at him "do you have any 'haters' too?"

He nodded.

"How... do you handle them?"

"Honestly.... it's hard to." He frowned and stopped sweeping.

She set her broom down and hugged him.

He smiled slightly and hugged her back. "Thank you, darling."

She nodded and looked up at him. "If any of them give you a hard time, talk to me?"

He chuckled and ruffled her hair. "Sure."

She smiled and pulled away before going back to work.

Mettaton sat down to take a break.

Most of his haters despised the fact that he was actually a ghost possessing a robot.

He sighed and propped his head up on his hand, looking at his reflection in a vase in front of him. This was what he wanted, right? Everyone to scream his name. But then... why did it feel like there was a hole? He had everything he'd ever dreamed of! Yet..... Something was missing in his life... But why did his circuits tingle around that Fish girl?

He huffed and eyed her. She didn't seem to be going anything special. But just cleaning made them seem to heat up. Mettaton swallowed and looked away.

Didn't Alphys give him a book that could help him identify this?

He took it out and began to read it.

It was a manga... Soon it was clear... a crush. A stupid crush.

He blushed pink and looked at Ghoti.

She was humming softly and sweeping the dirt into the dust pan. She looked up and waved.

He blushed more and waved, looking away quickly.

She frowned and went back to work. Did she do something wrong? Why was he blushing?

He wasn't looking at her.

'Must be something else.she went over to put the broom away and grabbed the mop before getting it wet in the sink and started mopping.

There was a yelp and a crash behind the bar.

Mettaton got up and went to look quickly. "What happe-"

Ghoti rubbed her head and lay on the ground, her skirt high enough to show her high thigh.

He blushed and helped her up. "A-are you alright?"

She nodded and held her head "I-I'm fine."

"Are you sure?"

She nodded and smiled "y-Yah."

He nodded and let go of her hands, blushing a bit more.

He saw... a little too much.

Mettaton swallowed.

She was definitely what he was missing.

"I'm gonna head home."

She nodded "Be safe Mettaton!"

"You too, Ghoti!" He waved and left.

Ghoti went in her room to see how Alana was doing.

She was awake and eating, Grillby on the phone with someone.

Ghoti sat next to her.

Alana coughed harshly, holding the bowl in her hands.

The bowl was taken away and her face was wiped.

The green scarf's magic began to slowly help her sight.

She shut her eyes and rubbed them, a tiggling feeling in them.

It didn't hurt, just irritated.

She blinked a few times and then took off the scarf, neck feeling itchy.

Things started to go dark again.

She rubbed her eyes and then sighed.

She scarf was placed on her head, her sight getting brighter.

She gasped and shivered, everything starting to grow bright. She was in a bed with a fire man and a fish girl in front of her grinning. She blinked several times and took the scarf off. "W-who..."

Her sight began to dissipate.

"You should keep it on. It's the only thing keeping your sight."

She shook her head, setting it away from her.

Ghoti frowned "what is it?"

"I don't w-want it..."

Ghoti looked at Grillby "May I have a moment alone with her?"

Grillby nodded and left.

Ghoti looked at Alana. "What is it?"

"What?"

"Something happened. What is it?"

"N-nothing hap-pened."

She frowned "it's your father, huh?"

"W-what are y-you talking about?"

"He asked you to do something that you can't do. I thought you knew that." The fish girl said before her, reading her like a book.

"I-I can do I-it!" She said back, standing up suddenly.

Ghoti sat her down "I don't even know what it is... but... let's just talk.

She sniffled and pulled away, getting back up. "I have t-to try a-and break the barrier a-again!"

Ghoti nodded " how would you feel if we talked and then you can go on break the barrier if you want. I just want a conversation with the person I saved."

She rubbed her teary eyes and sniffled.

"Is that okay?" She asked.

She nodded slowly and sat back down.

"Why do you have to break the barrier?" She asked softly.

"I-it was my f-father's dream t-to see the outside w-world... M-my mom's d-dream too."

Ghoti nodded. "And did they want you to see it too?"

She nodded.

"Okay, what would happen if you broke the barrier... but you died in the process. Would their dream still be achieved?"

She nodded again.

"But their dream involves you in the surface with them, how would it be achieved if you weren't there with them?"

"I-I would b-be okay. My dad s-said that if I d-do die, he would bring m-me back."

She nodded. "Did you know that you have a tattoo on your back?"

"A-a What?" She reaches for her back slightly to feel for it.

The tattoo was on her arm and back, saying. "A7-C27"

She shivered and felt it again. What was this code for?

The fish girl got up and got something. "Can I give you a gift?"

"W-what?"

"A gift. You know, to show that I care for you. I want to be nice." She said putting something around Alana's neck.

Alana flinched slightly.

There was just a cool stone on her upper chest connected to a chain. A necklace.

She felt the stone and held it. "W-what is this?"

"A necklace. I want you to have it."

"T-thank you!" She smiled slightly.

Her sight once again returned, no side effects.

"Hey, before you break the barrier, do you want to go to a show with me? A friend gave me VIP tickets."

She blinked a few times, her eyes adjusting to the light as the cloudyness in her eyes cleared up, showing her grey eyes and black pupils. "W-wow..."

There was a beautiful girl sitting in the bed across from her.

"W-wow! You're so p-pretty!" Alana smiled, excited to be able to see again.

Another girl sat down next to her "and spoke to her "that's you."

"Eh?" She reached out and touched the mirror, blushing. "T-that's me?"

The girl next to her nodded "Yah. See? You have on the green necklace.

She looked down at the necklace and held it, then hugged Ghoti. "T-thank you so m-much!"

Ghoti smiled back and held her close. "You're very welcome."

After a while, Alana exited the bar, standing out in the snow. She giggled and began to run around, jumping into the snow and rolling around. "I-it's so cold b-but so soft!~" she squealed, laying on her back, cheeks and nose rosy from the cold.

There were footstep that approached her before stopping. "you look happy."

She gasped and sat up, eyes opening. "S-sans?"

He smiled "hey Alana."

Her eyes were partially wide, and instead of a cloudy grey they were a bright silver color. She quickly stood up and brushed the snow off her then looked away, blushing. "H-hi..."

He had his hands in his pockets "hey. What's the celebration?"

She smiled slightly. "I-i can finally see."

He stood there shocked before picking her up and spinning her around, laughing.

Alana gasped and held onto him, blushing hard.

Sans stopped spinning and looked up at her with a grin. "That's incredible!"

All she could do was look into his eyes, blushing. "I-I didn't know y-you were s-so strong, Sans..."

His cheek bones tinted blue. "..." he didn't know how to respond.

She giggled softly and rested her forehead on his.

He smiled and stared into her eyes "you're beautiful, you know that?"

Her cheeks turned red and she pulled away, looking to the side. "I-I'm not... really..."

She shook his head and pressed his teeth against her cheek as a kiss. "You are."

She blushed more, putting a hand on her cheek.

He set her down gently.

Alana held her necklace and looked down.

"What is it?" He asked softly.

"T-thank you..."

He tilted his head "for what?"

"F-for giving me courage t-to do this..." She said softly as she leaned in, softly pressing her lips against his teeth.

He froze before kissing her back, pulling her close.

Her hands held the back of his skull as she pressed herself against him.

His hands rested on her hips and back.

The movement of his boney fingers made her shiver.

He nibbles her bottom lip. How? *shrugs*

Alana squeaked and pulled away, hand covering her mouth.

Sans blushed hard "s-Sorry, did I make you uncomfortable?"

She shook her head and lowered her hand, bottom lip bleeding, cheeks dusted with blush.

He moved his hand, his bony thumb wiping away the blood.

She shivered again and blushed more, eyes looking away.

Her lips were so soft. He smiled softly and pulled away, still holding a hand. "I'm so glad you can finally see."

She smiled slightly. "M-me too. Who knew I-I would fall for a-a cute skeleton?" Alana pecked his cheekbone with a smile.

He chuckled and blushed a bit more. "Yah, who knew."

She giggled and held his hand.

"Let's go home." He said softly.

She nodded and held his hand a bit tighter.

They walked back home.

Alana oddly enough kept looking behind them as they walked.

That black blob behind them did not look happy.

She swallowed and let go of Sans' hand. "I'm gonna b-be right back Sans." She gave him a smile and closed the door. Come to think of it. He looked ... pissed off. She hesitantly walked over. "D-dad I can ex-explain-"

"Explain what, Alana?" He asked.

He looked scarier than the thought. She swallowed and began to back away. "I-I um..."

"I thought you were going to break the barrier. I thought you loved me." He said.

"I-I do love you d-dad! I-I'll try again r-right now!"

He looked down at her "You better." He looked at the necklace. "What is that?"

"I-it's a gift f-from a f-friend. I-it helps me s-see!"

He glared at it. "He was a failure. His brother too."

"N-no they're not!" She said, raising her voice.

He turned to her "then ask them about their hands." He left.

She swallowed and slid down to the ground, back against a tree, heart pounding in her chest. 'T-their... hands?'

Papyrus' hands always had mittens on, and she's never see. One of Sans' hands either.

Alana came back in the house, HP down a bit.

Sans looked at her "what's wrong?" He went over.

"Show me your hands."

He took them out, one of them having a hand plate fused to his skeletal hand.

Her eyes watered up a bit as she looked at it, putting a hand on her back where a code was tattooed onto the back of her shoulder.

The plate read "1S".

Gaster experimented in him and Pappy.

He put a hand on her shoulder "it's alright, Alana."

She sniffled and covered her face with her hands.

He pulled her into his chest and put a hand in her head. Stroking her hair.

She gripped his hoodie and began to cry. That's when the furniture began to float, a grey magic forming around them.

He shushed her softly and rubbed her back.

What happened when she went back out?

He looked outside over her shoulder. He had no doubt it was her father.

Alana sniffled and looked up at him, HP dropping.

He wiped her tears away. "Hey, it's gonna be ok."

Her HP stopped at 5,000 and the furniture went back into their spots carefully.

"Everything is going to be okay. I'll protect you with my life. I promise."

She held onto him and cried, trembling in his arms.

He comforted her, his eye softly glowing blue.

She held onto him and shook. "I'm so sorry...."

"What for?" He asked softly.

"For this- all of this..."

"None of this is your fault."

She nodded and gripping his hoodie tighter.

Sans looked at her out of the corner of his eye. "Don't listen to your father.

"B-but he's my d-dad... I'm s-supposed to."

He nodded "and under under normal circumstances, you would. But there are very few cases where the father does not have the best interest of his child in mind and in those instances, the child is better off without the parent."

"I-I... Can't l-leave him..."

He looked at her "how so?@

"B-because.... I-I can't..."

He nodded " I am going to say this as a judge, and as someone who loves you and cares for your well-being. I don't think you should do anything that he asks you to do that will harm you in anyway.

She nodded slowly and looked down.

"That doesn't mean that you can't love him. I'm saying that you should live for you. Did what you want, not what he wants you to do. And if you want to do that as well, that's great. But you should do things for you and take care of yourself before you take care of others."

Alana nodded again and looked away. She moved some hair out of her face and pulled away.

He kissed her forehead. "I Just don't want you to get hurt.

Her cheeks flushed softly and she kissed his cheek. "I know..."

He smiled a bit. "Do... you want to live with Papyrus and Me?"

She nodded and held his hand. "I-if it's okay..."

He nodded "we would love it."

She smirked slightly. "You would love it a skele-TON?"

He looked at her.

" only if you keep the nights from getting BONEly."

He smiled slyly.

She giggled. "I promise."

He he pulled her close and kissed her.

She blushed and kissed back, caressing his cheek bones.

His hands rested on her hips, holding her close.

A shiver went up her spine, making her press herself against him and into the wall.

He smirked a bit and pulled away.

He spun them around so he was pinning her.

She gasped and blushed.

He looked down at her and smiled playfully "much better.~"

"S-Sans?" She exhaled shakily and swallowed.

"What is it?" He asked.

She blushed and pressed her back against the wall. "W-what's... that g-glowing thing in y-your pants?"

His face changed and he pulled away "I-I've got to take care of something."

She blinked and nodded, not knowing what he meant.

He stared at her for a bit before teleporting away.

She shook her head and sat on the couch. Maybe it was a skeleton thing?

She shrugged and laid down, feeling sleepy.

This place was always pretty warm. It was... nice.

It was cozy and warm. She smiled and closed her eyes, enjoying the silence when she started to hear something. Groans?

Something about them made her blush. She sat up slowly and held her cheeks as she listened. It sparked something in her that had never been felt before. She blushed more and crossed her legs. What was this feeling? It felt good, but also... dirty? She shook her head and flopped back down, covering herself up with a blanket and pillow.

It soon stopped, leaving her heart racing.

Mettaton was in his dressing room getting ready for his next show, a cable plugged into his back and into a wall. He floated in front of the mirror, pink as Ghoti's hair. "C'mon, hurry uuuuup! I'm supposed to be on in ten minutes!!!" He groaned, floating around in circles.

13%. That was how much battery he had. 7 minutes left.

He groaned and plugged in three more things to speed up the process.

He was up to 50. This was the big show that sold out in a week.

"Ugh.... Hurry uuuuUuuuUuUuUuUup!!"

Plus, Ghoti would be there too. He blushed and hid his face. "She's such a cutie!~" He looked at the time.

3 minutes.

He panicked and got into the robot, unplugging himself. "Alright! Let's do this!"

He was at 85%. Good enough.

He went out and started the show.

The crowd cheered.

The show went on, Ghoti watching him for the first time. He was amazing! Such a great actor too!! She couldn't believe it. Something about it made her heart speed up. Was he always so good looking? She blushed a bit. It must have been the lights. Her heart skipped a beat when he saw her.

He smirked internally. "And now for an audience interview!~"

All of the girls around her screamed and reached their hands out, hoping that he'd choose one of them.

"Hmmm let's see.... How about you!" He smiled and pointed to Ghoti.

Ghoti smiled and made her way to the edge of the stage and climbed up in front of him.

He helped her up and looked down at her. "Would you care to tell us your name?" He asked, holding the microphone to her.

She smiled and nodded "Ghoti."

Those girls... they heard fish. A sea monster named FISH.

Some of the audience began to laugh. Mettaton didn't. "What a unique name!~" (^w^)

She nodded "th-thank you." She kept her cool, even though almost EVERYONE was laughing at her.

"You're so cute looking too!" He smiled and led her over to a couch as he sat in what everyone knows as his throne.

She sat next to him and blushed a bit "u-um, thank you?"

"Now, Why don't you tell me a bit about yourself?" He asked, handing her a microphone.

"Okay, um, I'm 18 and from Aquaville before recently moving to Snowdin a few weeks ago." She said with a smile.

"How are you handling the cold so well?" (030)

"It's kind of hard since I'm cold blooded, but I'm sure I'll get used to it." She answered honestly.

He nodded. "Well, since you live in the coldest place in the underground, I would like to give you one of these Limited Edition MTT scarves!" Mettaton picked up a fluffy and soft scarf, handing it to her.

She gasped and took it before putting it on with a big smile. "Thank you!"

He nodded and continued the interview before picking another person from the audience, sitting her next to Ghoti.

And it was obvious thy she didn't like 'Fish'.

"Why don't you tell us your name."

"Becky." She said with a perfect smile.

Mettaton nodded and smiled. "And where do you come from?"

She brushed a strand of hair out of her face. "I live in the hot lands."

"Ooooo! How DO you handle the heat?"

She smirked "rather well, I feel right at home. As a dog, I don't dry out as easily."

He blinked and his smile kind changed slightly. "Ah, I see."

She smiled back. It was clear that she saw Ghoti as competition.

He smirked inside. "Alright then... Ghoti, what do you think of Snowdin?"

Ghoti reached for the mic across from Becky who made her scoot over so she could be closest to Mettaton. "It's calm and friendly. It's easy to get along with everyone." She smiled.

He nodded. "Where is your favorite place to go?"

"To my work, Grillby's. There's always something happening." She smiled a bit more.

"Ah! You work at Grillby's? That place has suck good drinks!" (^w^)

She nodded "it does." She handed the mic back to him, feeling that she was taking away from Becky. And this was clear.

After awhile more the show ended, and because Ghoti had VIP tickets, she could go back stage.

She went back and was let into his dressing room. "That was amazing Mettaton!"

He was plugged in and looking in the mirror. "Ah! Thank you!" He turned and smiled at her.

She smiled up at him, the scarf hiding some of her face. "Although it was embarrassing a bit."

"Why is that?"

"They laughed at my name, but I guess it's to be expected. It is pretty silly." She stayed smiling.

He smiled. "It's a cute name."

She looked at him "I-I thought you were joking about that."

He shook his head. "Why would I? It really is cute." (^w^)

She looked away... blushing?

"Still. It was a fun show." She smiled softly to herself.

He blushed and stood up, walking over to her, getting really close.

She looked at him "I. Umm. Mettaton, what are you..?"

He caresses her cheek and looked deeply into her eyes. "You really are cute, Ghoti..."

She blushed hard "I-I u-umm. Thank you?"

Mettaton began to lean down slowly.

Everything happened in slow motion, the only thing she heard was the beating in her chest. H-he was kissing her! She swallowed and kissed him back innocently.

His lips were so soft for a robot...

She rested her hands on his shoulders, getting a bit closer to him.

His hands went down to her back, holding her close.

She pulled away and looked up at him, shocked.

He looked shocked himself, blushing. How is he even able to blush?!

She smiled and hugged him tight, giggling.

He smiled and hugged her back.

"Thank you."

"F-for What?"

"Helping me fit in. I know that I stick out like a sore thumb."

He smiled and kissed her lips softly again. "We all stick out in some way or another."

She nodded and smiled back before pecking his lips.

He chuckled and held her close.

"Hey Mettaton?" She asked softly.

"Yes?"

"How can a robot blush?" She asked not knowing that he was really a ghost.

He shrugged.

She smiled and looked up at him "it's cute."

He blushed more. "I-is that s-so...."

She nodded "Yep. It is."

He smiled and sat down in his chair, pulling her close.

She sat in his lap, not sure of what was happening.

He just held her, smiling happily.

She rested up against his metal body and looked in the mirror at their reflection. She was small compared to him. She had about an average frame and yet, she couldn't help but be happy right there and right then.

Her time ran out and she had to leave, making her walk home with a skip in her step in aware of those following her.

It was Becky and a few other fan girls of Mettaton's!

One of them saw what happened in the dressing room back stage. No one was allowed to kiss Mettaton.

And like all fangirls of hot guys, they're crazy! (^w^) And like anyone who gets close to a hot guy, she got back home bloody.

Alphys sat at her computer doing research on Dr. Gaster.

It seemed to be that he made 7 experiments to try and break the barriers.

"Hmm... I-interesting..." She wrote down some notes and kept looking.

First Sans, then Papyrus, then 4 others and then Alana was the last. But Alana was born of him and a human woman... But... was cloned so that she could die repeatedly until it broke. The one she was was the 27th Alana. How horrible. A father cloning his own blood child just to do something like this...

"Poor thing..."

The cycle should not continue.

"O-oh my... W-what should I-I d-do?"

If this is the 27th Alana, that means that there's a facility with other clones that Gaster made. She needed to see the facility.

Alphy's huffed and went out to go search for it, bringing along her study pack.

Where would you hide a secret lab? "Hmm...."

Maybe it was somewhere around Snowdin? After all, that was first time that the skele-bros were seen.

Alphys grabbed her coat and went out to Snowdin to look around.

There is always something strange about those igloos.

She held her phone and turned on the flashlight, looking in.

There was a metal hatch.

"E-eh?"

This was it. The lab.

She went in hesitantly and looked around, anything that could be related to Alana.

Then there was a room filled with capsules of her. Thousands of Alanas.

Alphys put a hand over her mouth, eyes watering up. This is horrible!

Did he only see her as an item? As property?

She looked around some more.

Same HP. But it seemed all of their souls were shaped differently. As if he made multiple out of one.

She took a look at several of the souls.

What if this is why she can't operate on her soul.

She looked around and went to the big computer, hooking up a flash drive to copy and download info on it.

What if this was a way to keep souls fused together? But they had to know.

She downloaded the info and hurried to the exit.

The darkness of the facility seemed to follow.

Creepy... She exited and headed to her lab.

Outside, it was regular Snowden.

She began to walk for a while, deciding to take a short cut when she froze.

A black blob.

She turned the other way and began to walk, but at a slightly faster pace.

Then she ran into the bloody fish.

She looked at Alphys and took her in Grillby's.

Grillby was closing up shop when he saw them.

It was the royal scientist shaking and his employee bloody.

"O-oh my god- get inside!" He grabbed them and brought them in, closing and locking the door. "What happened to you two??"

Ghoti looked at him. "I was walking back from Mettaton's show before some angry fang got in me for having a VIP pass." She looked at Alphys "and I don't know what's up with her. Just saw her."

Alphys looked around, shaking and paranoid. "G-Grillby, can y-y-you call up S-Sans and tell him to c-come talk to me.... A-about Alana?.... A-alone?"

Grillby nodded and did so as he went to look for the first aid kit.

Ghoti left, leaving the two alone and went to get her green scarf.

Before she could leave, Mettaton rushes in with her scarf, panting and looking very worried.

She turned and looked at him. "Mettaton?"

He pulled her into him, hugging her tightly. "Oh my gosh you're okay! I thought they killed you!!!"

She hugged him back "I'm Okay." She said softly.

He held her so tight, he was trembling. He was this worried about her?

She looked up at him and felt eyes on her back.

Alphys was staring at them, shipping them hard.

Ghoti pulled away and took him somewhere they could talk in private.

He just sat down and held her close again, still shaking. "I-I thought y-you were dead...."

She looked up at him. "Why would you think that?"

"A group of f-fans told me that s-some group of m-men jumped you..." Mettaton began to cry, oily tears rolling down his cheeks.

She shook her head "no, they started it and the men joined in." She stated.

He suddenly looked angry, tears still rolling down his cheeks. "What did they do to you, Ghoti..."

She grew quiet and rubbed her arm, her shirt lifting a bit to show bruises going down to her V line.

He grit his teeth. "I'm gonna kill them...." He said darkly.

She looked up at him and shook her head "no, it's fine." She said quickly, not wanting him to get in her mess. "If anything, I'm used to it."

"U-used to it?"

She nodded "Yah, I've had to put up with it a lot before I came here to keep myself in school." Ghoti said softly, not aware that this isn't normal.

"G-Ghoti this isn't okay. Nobody should have to go through this! It's bad!"

She closed her mouth. But she also did to to keep loansharks from getting onto her family too.

Mettaton looked really upset.

She backed up a bit. "I'm sorry."

He started to cry again.

She hugged him. "I'm sorry." What did she do wrong? She kept apologizing over and over.

"You don't need to apologize. Those people hurt you and they're gonna pay." He said, getting up and heading for the door.

She looked up and watched, scared. He was gonna hurt someone because they hurt her! She needs to stop him quickly! She ran over and grabbed his hand. "Please Don't."

"Why?! They hurt you!!"

"But I don't want them to get hurt in turn." She said softly.

"They're gonna pay for what they did to you... I won't hurt them but they WILL pay."

She nodded and looked up at him "thank you." Ghoti hugged him tight.

He hugged her back, kissing her head.

She looked down, feeling awkward. None of he past boyfriends have ever really seemed to act like him. He was so much..... nicer. Sweeter too. She looked up at him. She wanted him to know how much she liked him. To do something for him. But what? She let go of him and got her chair before standing on it and kissed him.

Mettaton's eyes went wide, surprised, but then rested his hands on her hips as he melted into it, kissing back.

Ghoti made it stay soft and sweet between them.

It was calming to him, making him relax.

She wrapped her arms around his neck. And pressed herself against him lightly.

He put his arms around her and held her close, not wanting to let go.

She pulled away and smiled at him softly. "Thank you."

He nodded slowly, holding her close.

She rested her head on his shoulder.

Sans came into Grillby's. "What's up?"

Grillby was at his post in the bar when he pointed to a door to his living quarters. "Alphys wants to talk to you."

Sans nodded "thanks grilbz." He entered the living quarters.

He nodded back, then took a dog knight's order.

Alphys was pacing back and forth nervously, her laptop open with a flash drive plugged in.

"Hey Al." Sans greeted. "What's up?

"S-Sans I need t-to show y-you something..." She said seriously, hesitantly turning her laptop to face him.

He followed her "what is it?"

"A-Alana i-is.... a-a clone of m-many others. S-she's number 27."

His eyes widened and looked at her computer "what?"

"S-she's not r-really her, Sans..."

He looked at Alphys. "So what do we do?"

"You need to make sure to keep an eye on her and what ever you do, DON'T let her get to the barrier on her own. If she does, she will die, and a new clone will come around."

He nodded "should we tell her?"

She shook her head. "It might break her soul..."

He nodded "what about the other souls?"

"They're all different."

"But they all and from the same one, right?"

"Physically, yes. B-but I believe that d-different souls give e-every one o-of them d-different personalities."

"What is we combined them?"

She shook her head quickly. "T-that wouldn't be a great i-I-idea Sans!"

He sat down "then what are supposed to do?! She should have a whole soul like anyone else!"

"I-I could try to transfer o-one but I-I don't kn-know if she would live through it!" (>~<)

"Then let's work on the other clones."

She swallowed. "I-I don't know..."

He sighed and looked down. "Should we tell her?"

She shook her head. "Again, I don't think her soul could handle it..."

He nodded "then what?"

She shrugged. "I-I'm trying to c-come up with an I-idea..."

He thought with her.

Just then, his phone rang. Papyrus was trying to call him.

He picked up "hey Pap."

"S-SAAAANS SOMETHING IS WRONG WITH THE HUMAN!!!"

"What is it?"

"S-SHE JUST ATTACKED ME AND THEN LEFT! I-I DON'T KNOW WHAT HAPPENED!"

"Where did she go?"

"I-I DON'T KNOW! BUT I THINK SHE MIGHT BE GOING TO THE OLD LAB OR THE BARRIER!!!"

"Thanks." Sans hung up and teleported away.

The lab was really dark and quiet.

He looked around frantically. He didn't see her. He went to the barrier. He looked around "ALANA!" He turned to look at the barrier and went over before falling to his knees, finding a pile of dust and a green necklace. He picked it up shakily and cried. She was gone.... He's lost her..... He held the necklace close and and sobbed. The cycle was going to continue.

"Wh4t 4 pitty.... Th4t Alana w4s s00000 d3t3rmind3d..." A distorted low and dark voice said from behind.

Sans stood and turned to look at Gaster with a glare.

"M4yb3 th3 n3xt 0n3 will d0 h3r j0b Right..."

A bone flew at him. "she doesn't need you."

A spot opened up in him, the bone flying through it as it morphed back together. "Sh3 d0es, Sans..."

"Honestly, I don't see what she sees. A father doesn't do that to their child. To ANY of their children."

He chuckled. "Wh4t d0 y0u kn0w 4b0ut f4mily?"

"Enough to know that you don't experiment on them. You love them and when a child is in danger, you remove them from the threat." Sans said regaining his cool. After all, he was the only judge in the underground.

Gaster chuckled. "W3ll th3n... m4yb3 y0u c4n 4id th3 n3xt Alana?"

Sans looked at him "what type of soul was she born with?"

"It's b33n t00 l0ng t0 r3c4ll..." He said, fading away.

He glared at Gaster and took a sack he had as he faided.

He was alone... There was a new Alana in the underground now.

He teleported to Snowdin.

Under the same tree laid a freezing and shivering Alana, eyes clouded and HP down to 3...

He picked her up and took her home.

She shivered in his arms, head resting on her chest.

He took her inside and set her down on the couch. "There you go"

She looked around, shaking. "W-who are you?"

"Don't you remember? It's me, Sans." He sat next to her. "I found your necklace over by the barrier. I wonder how it got there. Odd." He put it in her hands.

She didn't look next to her, but scooted away.

He stood. "Any way, I'm gonna get you some of Pap's spaghetti. You look famished."

"W-who are you?"

He came back with some hot asghetti. "i told you, i'm sans. sans the skeleton."

"S-Sans...."

He handed the food to her and took the necklace "here, let me help you with that."

She flinched and curled up slightly, looking uneasy.

He was making her nervous. How cute. He chuckled and put it on her before pulling away "there ya go."

She blinked and rubbed her eyes, feeling tingly. Then. There was color. She opened her eyes, seeing clearly

"Better? You can see again."

She looked at him and suddenly blushed, looking away with somewhat wide eyes. THAT was the skeleton that was creeping her out? But he was cute!!!

He looked at her and then took a peek in the bag that he got off of Gaster.

Empty, only containing a note to Alana.

He read it.

"Don't trust the skeleton. Remember what I taught you.
-Daddy"

He crumpled it and stick it in his pocket. Sans looked at Alana. "Hey, can I show you something?" He asked softly. He sighed and got up before taking her to a spare bedroom "you can stay here, and please, stay in Snowdin." He left the house and went to the lab where all of the Alanas were. Sans walked up to a tube and found 27 body less souls before finding the original Alana.

She was in a much different containment tube. She was floating in a glowing liquid with wires attached to her body.

She was still alive and breathing.

He checked her soul.

It was broken... just barely connected.

He thought of something and put one of the 27 souls in the same tube as her and watched.

Her body rejected it, the new soul shattering.

His eyes widened. And put a stronger one in.

Her body began to try and absorb it, but it shattered halfway.

He smiled a bit. It was possible.

Her closed eyes twitched slightly. The heart monitor which beat slow began to slightly beat a bit faster.

He looked around and looked at the souls. How could he combine them? Maybe... He brought the weakest and the strongest together.

It formed a silver soul.

He put it in with her.

Her body absorbed it, heart monitor going crazy.

He looked in awe "Alana."

It beat faster and faster until an alarms began to blare, red lights flashing. The large glass container began to crack slowly.

He took a bone and swung at it.

The glass shattered and the water poured out, Alana going along with it.

He caught her.

She was so cold from that liquid, wires still stuck to her by little squeaked squares.

He took off his jacket and put it on her.

She suddenly gasped, back arching as she took a sudden breath, making her cough.

He pat her back gently.

She looked at him and gasped, pushing him away harshly and falling into the liquid, scooting backwards. "W-what are you?!"

He smiled so much it hurt. "i'm a skeleton. And I've been trying to help you for the past few weeks."

She looked terrified. "W-where am I? Where I-is my mother??"

"You're in a lab underground, and I don't know where she is." He answered softly.

She stood up and looked around. "W-what... year is it?"

"X507"

Her eyes widened. "A-are you... sure?"

He nodded "I'm sure."

"I-I've been in there..... for 75 years?"

His eyes widened. "Hey, are you hungry?"

She swallowed and nodded a bit, holding her stomach.

He nodded and went over and picked her up "I have a friend you can stay with."

She blushed and held onto his hoodie, looking him in the eyes for a second. "D-do I..... Know you?"

He nodded "kinda."

She rubbed her head and groaned.

He teleported to Alphys. "Hey Al."

Alphys jumped.

"I found the original." He said with a grin.

Her eyes widened when she saw Alana.

Alana looked at her and held onto Sans a bit tighter, not trusting it.

He looked at Alana. "Don't worry, we've been working together for a long time. She and I have been trying to help you." He set Alana down on a chair and went to make her some ramen.

Alphys talked to her and such.

She was told everything from the cloning to the barrier.

"B-but... I never knew my dad. My mom and I fell down her years ago."

"So you were on the surface before you came here?" He asked and placed the ramen before her with a fork.

She nodded. "I was born on the surface."

"Dispose of them."

He nodded "Alright. As soon as you've finished eating, we can go home."

"Home?"

He chuckled a bit "sorry, the last you moved into my place because you loved my brothers cooking so much."

She blushed and chuckled slightly.

He did as well "so Yah, do you want to move in... again?"

She thought for a while and then looked at Alphys who nodded with a smile. Alana looked back and smiled.
"Sure."

Sans smiled and teleported her home, the other Alana dead leaving a soul and the necklace in the dust. He chuckled a bit "sorry about that." He picked up the necklace and put it on her as the soul was absorbed by hers.

She flinched and shivered.

Her soul was getting more and more filled. And it was a higher HP of 2,500.

"You have a large HP." He stated.

"I know." She frowned slightly and held her soul.

"What's wrong?"

Her soul went away quickly. "N-nothing..."

He nodded "well, please promise me this, that you won't get to the Barrier."

She nodded. Her soul came out again, shining and floating over to him.

His eye glowed softly back.

She gasped and grabbed it, pulling it back and blushing. "I-I don't know what going on with it, I-I'm sorry."

He smiled a bit "it's alright."

The way he looked at her... he fell in love with one of her clones, didn't he? She blushed and smiled a bit, looking down and holding her soul. So there was a very good chance that he could love her. "Hey Sans?"

He looked at her "Yah? What is it?"

"Can... I see your soul?" She looked up at him hesitantly, blushing.

He nodded and showed her.

She held his soul, blushing from the warmth it gave off. "It's so pretty..."

He blushed "thanks."

She looked around, not seeing anyone before grabbing the collar of his white shirt and pulling him close, kissing his teeth.

She looked around, not seeing anyone before grabbing the collar of his white shirt and pulling him close, kissing his teeth.

He kissed her back and placed his hands on her hips.

She backed up into a wall, exhaling shakily.

He nibbled her bottom lip and pinned her.

"Ah~"

He moved along her jaw up to the of her ear. His hands moved up slowly.

"S-sans~" Alana shivered and gripped his hoodie, her other hand suddenly giving his soul a squeeze.

He stopped and pulled away quickly, taking his soul back. "S-sorry. I-I don't know what came over me."

She looked back at him with red cheeks. "I-it's ok."

"I-I'll leave you be." He said before leaving the room.

She shook her head and went after him. "W-Wait!"

He turned "Yah?" Blue blush tinted his cheek bones.

"C-can we.... Do that again?"

He nodded "Yah, just, tell me when to stop."

She nodded and blushed more.

He went over and kissed her softly. His skeletal hand caressed her cheek.

She kissed back, holding his other hand.

How was it possible that a skeleton could feel so warm?

He softly kissed her throat, the hand on her cheek going down to her back.

She shivered and held onto him.

He found the soft spot and and necked her there.

She squeaked.

Ghoti was in with the therapist the Mettaton set her up with, like her normal self.

The therapist asked her several questions about her past and other things.

She gave him VERY Intimate details of her past. The number of things she used sex for and times she has been raped would have been enough to drive someone insane.

She was amazed at how normal she acted. There was no way that she was mentally healthy.

But she just kept smiling and seemed so naïve and innocent.

She sighed and nodded. "Well then, I'm gonna go talk to Mettaton for a bit then both of you can head out, alright?" She gave her a kind smile.

She nodded and got up before leaving.

Mettaton came in and him and the therapist talked.

She wasn't okay. And because so much happened so young, it affected her behavior.

"Just make sure to keep an eye on her. You need to make sure she's social but be wary of who she's with."

She might not even know to to express love. So then the kiss meant nothing...? Or maybe... it did but she doesn't know anything other than sex. He felt a pain in his chest, making him frown. "I understand. Thank you."

Ghoti waited outside like she was supposed to.

Mettaton came out and got her, heading back home.

She looked up at him "is there something wrong?" She asked.

"N-nothing. It's nothing." He looked away, letting her inside the house.

She looked away "it's what the therapist said, right?"

He hesitated and then sighed, sitting down and taking off of his black shoulder pads, putting them away.

"I know what I've done... and what others have done to me is wrong." She looked down.

"Then why don't you admit it?"

"I'm a bad girl." She responded.

"Well you need to start being honest."

She nodded "I'm a lier."

He looked down with oily tears in his eyes. "I just don't want you to get hurt again, Ghoti. I'm serious."

She nodded and hugged him "I'm sorry."

He put his arms around her and hugged her back.

She rested her head on him and tried not to cry.

"I really like you Ghoti... And not just as a friend."

She nodded "I like you too. I really like you."

He smiled slightly and hugged her tight.

She pat his back.

"Ghoti...."

She looked at him "yes Mettaton?"

He caressed her cheek and leaned in, his forehead resting on hers. "Please stay by my side..."

She blushed and nodded. "Okay. I will."

He parted his lips slightly and eyes hers.

She pulled away.

He blushed and looked to the side. "Sorry. I made you uncomfortable didn't I..."

She shook her head "no, you didn't." She smiled.

He looked back to her.

"I don't know how to act around boys, I'm sorry."

He smiled slightly, caressing her cheek. "It's okay..."

She smiled back "I hope you don't mind." She kissed him. And she kissed him good.

Mettaton kissed back, hands on her hips.

She wrapped her arms around his neck, being careful to keep a bit of distance between them.

He was a good kisser.

She blushed. Wait. What does she do now? She didn't want this to be like the others.

He pulled away and smiled, pecking her cheek. "You're so cute, Ghoti." (^w^)

She blushed harder and hid her face in his metal chest. "Why are you like this?"

"Like what?"

"So amazing. You're just so nice! I've never known anyone this nice to me other than Grillby and my sister."

He blushed and smiled. "T-thank you!"

"Mettaton? C-can you help me? To not feel bad?"

He blushed and nodded. "A-ah... Sure. How so?"

She started to cry "I don't want to fell gross anymore."

He frowned and pulled her closer, kissing her cheek. "You're not gross..."

She shook her head "I FEEL gross. And no matter how hard I try I won't go away. I don't even like touching my own skin from how GROSS it feels."

He caressed her cheek softly.

She cried softly into him.

He kissed her lips softly to shush her.

She kissed him back, calming down.

"Thanks."

He nodded and smiled. "No problem..."

She swallowed and buried her face in his chest, a bit so innocent thought creeping into her mind.

He chuckled and held her close.

"I um, M-Mettaton?" She asked her legs shifted a bit.

"Yes?"

"Can we um..." she looked down.

He tilted his head. "Can we what, Ghoti?"

She looked up at him, red as her hair "h-have sex." She said nervously.

Mettaton's face turned red and he swallowed nervously. "I-I-I u-um...." She liked him THAT much?! He nodded and picked her up, hurrying to his bedroom.

She gasped and held on tight.

He laid her down and climbed on top her, kissing her deeply.

She kissed him back, wrapping her arms around his neck, bringing him down.

And then they got jiggy.

Afterwards, she was clinging into him.

"S-so..... H-how do you f-feel now?"

She smiled up at him "Better. So much better."

He chuckled and went over to her, nuzzling her neck and softly kissing some hickeys.

She winced and giggled, rubbing his back. Who knew robots could do such things!~ She blushed hard and thought of why he would have those parts. Or didn't seem to go with any programming.

He laid on her, head resting on her chest as he let out a sigh.

She looked down at him before seeing a picture with a pink and a white ghost in it.

Who were they? "Who's in that picture she asked referring to the one on the bedside table.

"Oh? That's me and my cousin Blooky."

Her eyes widened "you're a ghost?"

He nodded.

She blushed harder. "N-no way."

He nodded.

"That's so cool." She whispered.

Mettaton blushed.

Ghoti smiled softly and hugged him, not even thinking of the consequences.

He sighed happily. Man were his fan girls going to be pissed if they found out. Which would mean a drop in the ratings. But he didn't care. But what if she ended up carrying his child? What then? Will they stay together? Was he gonna leave her like all those other guys? No. She wouldn't do that. She only did it with those men out of necessity.

Sans was taking care of the Alanas.

There were too many in this timeline. Maybe he could send them off to other timelines... But how?

He sighed and looked down. This was the only time line that Frisk didn't fall. And he couldn't kill them even if he tried...

He looked at them. He needed their souls. He needed to make her's complete. But he's need help from someone.

Someone he'd rather not want "help" from..."

He rubbed his temples "what is it Flowy? You pot smoking perv."

"I thiiiiink you mean what do YOU need?"

"You're holding weed tho."

He shrugged.

He sighed "can you help me?"

"With what?"

"I need to do something with all of the clones. Can you help me?"
