Chapter 36
"I now pronounce you, husband and wife."
The sound of clapping can be heard behind me, but I'm not focused on the audience, I'm focused on him.
"You're supposed to kiss him," Elsa stubbornly puts her hands on her hips, staring at me with a cheeky smirk. "I'm the priest and I say kiss Tyler or else I will take your ring pops off you so you aren't married anymore."
Tyler laughs from in front of me. He's so close that I can feel his warm breath fan across my face. Elsa had decided that she wanted to marry Tyler and I, reluctantly we agreed on the term that Elsa would let us use ring pops as rings.
"I guess we have to kiss now," I whisper to Tyler. I wrap my arms around his neck, wiggling my eyebrows at him. He laughs, pulling me closer by my hips so that our lips touch.
The kiss was short and sweet because Elsa was right in front of us and I don't feel like scarring the poor girl. She's already seen enough as it is, having Tyler's ugly face as her brother.
Kidding, we all know Tyler is sexy. After all, he is my boyfriend. My sexy boyfriend...
"Okay, I'm done." Elsa sighs exasperatedly, "I'm starving. Mom, what's for dinner?"
"Wow, Nova and I just got married and all you care about is what's for dinner," Tyler wipes a fake tear from his eye, kneeling down to look at Elsa. "That hit me straight in the feels."
"Oh, you're such a baby," Elsa whacks him over the back of the head, something I may or may not have taught her a few days ago. It was so tempting, and useless. So far she has hit him so much that she has now developed my violent tendencies. I should feel bad for Tyler, but watching his face after his little sister measly whacks him over the head makes me laugh so hard I have tears in my eyes.
"Stop hitting me," he growls and throws Elsa over his shoulder. Elsa struggles under his grip, dangling upside down with her face halfway down his back and her fists pounding on his butt.
"Mooooooooooom," she screams, "This big beast is abusing me."
Meanwhile, I'm too busy laughing to say anything. Tyler eventually puts Elsa down and we end up walking back over to my house. The 'ceremony' was in Tyler's front yard with Elsa, their mom, Georgia and Elsa's thousand dolls and teddy bears.
"So, Mrs. Bradford, how does it feel to be a married woman now?" Tyler smirks, grabbing my hand and interlocking his fingers with mine. I can never shake of the feelings I get when he does that, tingles run down my spine and my legs turn to jelly 99% of the time.
"Well, the honeymoon was shit," I bite my lip, "And my husband is pretty damn ugly."
Tyler gasps loudly, "You take that back, bitch!"
I hit his chest, "Don't call me bitch, you – you cow!"
"Ohhhhhhhh is that all you've got," he opens the door for me casually, I walk through, making sure I step on his foot on the way in.
"Nope," I smirk, "I have a lot more under my sleeves."
"I'd like to see you try babe," he winks, walking straight into my kitchen like he owns the place. Austin is sitting at the chairs beside the kitchen bench with a huge burrito dangling out of his mouth and his phone in his hand.
"Can we refrain from the flirt banter right now? Poor innocent bystander right here," Austin talks with a mouth full of burrito. Ew, how am I even related to him? Last time I checked, my mother wasn't a pig and my dad wasn't an ape. "You two have a sick kind of way of flirting. Its all violence, violence, violence."
