Crystal's POV
I slowly opened my eyes, with my head throbbing. I turned my head my head to see whispering things. I listened to what he said.
"Please please live....I can't live without you...I swear..." He whispered to no one in particular.
I was flattered. I didn't know he felt that way about me.
"Gold..." I croaked out.
"CRYS!" He shouted then hugged me. "Don't ever do that to me ever again, you hear me!?"
I reached out and hugged him back. "I promise..."
Suddenly, he began crying.
"I was so scared...you can't die...I never want you to leave...I thought you'd never open your eyes again."
I patted his head to assure him that I was alive. We stayed like that for a while until he pulled away.
"Sorry Crys..."
"Don't apologize. It's not your fault."
"But I wasn't there when you needed me the most!" He shouted then kneeled down. "Why can't I protect the people I love?! Why am I so useless?!"
"Gold..." I whispered and I went up to him. "You're not useless... You've saved the world before..."
"But..."
"No buts..."
He smiled a little then got up.
"You always know what to do, don't you?"
"Oh, I wouldn't say that..."
"But you're so perfect. You're beautiful, kind, smart, strong, funn-" He began before he realized what he was saying.
He blushed and looked down at his feet. "I really don't deserve a girl like you, huh?"
I was shocked. Him?! Not worthy for me?!
"You've got it all backwards! I'm the one who doesn't deserve a guy like you!"
He smiled and then went up to me and kissed me. This time though, I didn't reject him. I pressed back. Perfectly fit for each other. A perfect couple. Love at last.

No one's POV
"Mommy! Daddy! Tell me how you two fell in love!" Jewel asked.
"Ewww...why would you want to know something like that?" Topaz, Jewel's brother, asked.
Jewel huffed and kicked Topaz in the leg.
"Ow! Jewel!"
"Now now kids...don't fight..." A 35 year old Crystal said.
"Though they fight like you and I did." A 35 year old Gold replied, with a smirk on his face.
"You two fought!? But you seem to sweet to each other!" Jewel said surprised.
"Well, when your father was younger...you could say he was a pervert..." Crystal replied.
"Hey! I've changed!" Gold complained.
She kissed him on the cheek.
"Of course you have...you're a proud father of two wonderful children."
Topaz faked barf. "Gross...will you two not be all lovey dovey when we're around?"
Gold crouched down and ruffled his hair, "Sorry kiddo."
"Will you tell me how you two fell in love now?" Jewel asked impatiently.
Crystal sighed. "Well it all started..."
