Queen Tia was immersed into canvas and colors one afternoon. It had been three days since JaeJoong returned to Dong Bang empire and resumed his duties as the king. Also, it had been three days since Tia had talked to JaeJoong. She was yet to inform the king about her pregnancy by herself although she knew that the royal physician already told the king.

After that fateful encounter with the king and his fiancé, Tia avoided JaeJoong like plague. She even refused to meet him when he wanted to visit her. Tia knew that this was not a solution and as the queen, she had duties towards the nation but she was very upset and her raging pregnancy hormones were not helping at all.

Tia put her brush down after painting for a long while and stood up. Unconsciously her right hand went up to cradle her slightly bulging belly. A sweet smile made its way to her face. She took a deep breath. Then, she came out of her chamber and started to walk towards the garden at the Lotus palace.

The garden of the Lotus palace was absolutely magnificent. It had a perfect combination of floral as well as fruit bearing plants, cacti and herbal plants. Even the grass beds were so velvety in nature that it gave a wonderful sensation if one walked over those in bare feet. Tia felt calm whenever she arrived in the midst of nature. Sometimes, she even painted here.

Standing by the bed of roses, she was thinking about JaeJoong. True, she had refused to see him but she was not happy about it. Now that her anger somewhat subsided, Tia wanted nothing more than to talk to her husband. She was pregnant and her whole being was craving for her husband's affection. Her resolve was breaking and she needed nothing more but to be close to JaeJoong.

"Greetings to your majesty," a servant bowed politely.

Tia turned to face the servant. She said nothing but her face wore an encouraging expression for the servant to speak.

"Your majesty, the Queen-mother along with Princess HwangBo are here at the Lotus palace," stated the servant. The serenity which she had worked for this whole afternoon through painting and visiting her favorite garden was broken in a wisp.

"What for? I'm not up for any visits now," said Tia. "Ask them to visit me some other time. In fact, I'm expecting a visit from the royal physician. I want no intrusion while I'm with the physician," she added.

"Sorry to say this your majesty but it is a tradition that the head of the Lotus palace welcomes a new resident," the servant pointed out with respect.

The servant's words were shocking enough for Tia's brain to stop functioning for a while. Undoubtedly, the servant meant Princess Hwang Bo as the new resident of the Lotus Palace. It was an inevitable fact that the queens of Dong Bang kingdom always stayed at the Lotus Palace. However, Hwang Bo was not yet married to JaeJoong.

Tia did not say anything more to that servant. She left the serenity of the garden along the servant to greet the princess and the queen-mother.

On the way to the main entrance of the Lotus Palace, Tia found her closest attendant, a woman named Min Ah, and ordered her to inform the king that she would like him to visit her. If by any chance, JaeJoong failed to visit, then Tia would herself give him a visit soon. Min Ah bowed and went to find the king.

An impatient queen-mother and slightly irritated Princess Hwang Bo met Tia at the front of the Lotus Palace. They obviously had disappointing expressions on their faces as if Tia should not have made them wait despite the fact that they came unannounced.

Tia greeted her mother-in-law who nodded slightly in acknowledgement.

"Long live your majesty, the Queen," came a dry greeting from Hwang Bo.
