It was another day working at Six Flags. "Thank you, have a great day. Thank you, have a great day, Thank you, have a.." all day long. I rarely see cute guys anymore and when i do, they are either gay, with their mom or girlfriend, or with their friends acting douchy.
"Hey, Diana wants to see you, i think you're going home." a co-worker told me as he took over at my turnstile.
Finally.
As soon as i grabbed my water bottle and turned around, i accidentally ran into someone.
"Oh my god, sir i am so sorry about that, it was completely my fault."
"It's okay. there are a lot of bodies here therefore lots of bumping." He smiled and grabbed my shoulders to calm me down.
I took a deep breath of relief. Some guests would have gone and told my supervisor right away, but this guy was pretty cool ... and cute.
"Thanks. Some people go a little crazy." I felt my face flush and was hoping i didn't look like i was blushing. Even if it was noticeable, i'd say it was the sun.
"Don't blush. i'm not THAT cute." he winked.
"It's just hot out here. It was nice meeting you. Have a great day here at Six Flags!" I walked away as fast as i could to the back so i could clock out. As soon as i got in Diana yelled from the back to go refill maps.
Crap. This cute guy i just made my self a fool in front of is sitting on the bench with his friends right next to the maps.
"DO YOU THINK THE MAPS ARE GOING TO GROW LEGS AND WALK TO THE GUESTS? GET YOUR LAZY BUM OUT THERE!" Diana yelled.
I scattered like a roach when you turn on the lights and eventually got to the map box and attempted to carry it outside. Keep in mind, this box is pretty heavy.
I opened the employee door with my knee and struggled to limp over to the map area with this heavy box that was already slipping.
"Oh crap crap cra-" The box was slipping from my hands.
"Got it." The cute guy said. "You know, you don't need to go get excuses just to see me? I'm right here." He put the map box down next to the map tower. "Jacob." He stuck his hand out for me to shake. "and you are?"
"Y/N" I grabbed his hand and shook it.
"Nice to meet you Y/N." He smiled from ear to ear. "This is my friend Dylan."
"Sup" Dylan threw the peace sign without breaking his glare at his phone.
"and this is Reed."
"Oh my, nice to meet you." Reed kissed my hand.
"You too..?" That was odd.
"I have more friends but they aren't worth an introduction." He chuckled. "I'm just kidding I actually can't seem to find them." Jacob looked up as if they were going to fall from the sky.
"That can't be good." I looked up also. "You should go find them." I began to fill up the maps before Diana got mad at me again.
"That's a great idea." Jacob said sarcastically as he crossed his arms. "It was a pleasure meeting you."
"You too, definitely." I smiled.
"Oh hey, Y/N, you dropped something." Jacob handed me a folded up piece of paper.
"There's a trash can right here you know.." I threw it in the trash.
"wait NO that was literally my way of flirting omg my number was on that." Jacob hit the palm of his hand to his forehead as he shook his head.
I felt so bad so i did something that i never thought i would do. I dug in the trash.
"I found it!" I held it up and unfolded it. "I shall keep this.. no more dumpster diving." I put some hand sanitizer on.
Jacob smiled so big his eyes looked like little lines.
"Text me." Jacob shot at my with his fingers as he walked away. "PLEASE.." he yelled.
Jacob... I like that name.
