"Are you ready yet?" Jacob yelled.
"Hold ya horses." I hopped downstairs as i tried to put my heels on. "Where are we going to breakfast anyways?"
"It's a surprise." Jacob pecked my cheek with a kiss, grabbed my purse and headed out.
We were in the car when i got a phone call that i didnt want to answer because it was on bluetooth so you could hear it in the car.
"Are you gonna answer that?" Jacob said looking at me.
"Uh, no. that'd be rude."
"I insist." Jacob pressed the answer button on the steering wheel.
"Oh my god about time you answer your damn phone." A bunch of voices said. "Where are you?"
"Who is this?" Jacob asked.
"Jacob? that you little man? this is Gilinsky! and Johnson! and Wilk! and Nate!"
"Little? i'm taller than most of yall.."
"Oh my bad, little man." They sounded busy. "Your girlfriend around? we have some urgent business to settle with her."
"I'm right here, G. Speaker."
"Oh, hey kiddo. Okay, so I wanted to ask you about Poseidon's-"
"Hey, why'd you hang up on him?" Jacob asked.
"They were getting annoying," I turned the bluetooth off. "are we almost there? im hungry."
"We actually are." Jacob smiled as we pulled into the parking lot of Cracker Barrel.
"Cracker Barrel!" Jacob threw his arms up.
"Oh.." I hated Cracker Barrel. "Great.."
"You dont like it?" Jacob got sad.
"No babe, I love it." I leaned in to give him a kiss.
"Good."
When i was little, my grandma brought me to Cracker Barrel almost twice a week always for breakfast and i hated breakfast food unless it was eaten at Denny's at 3 in the morning.
"So, what did Gilinsky mean by Poseidon? Isn't that a sea god of some sort." Jacob stuffed his mouth with a biscuit.
"It's a tattoo parlor." I drank some of my raspberry tea.
"Oh, is he getting a tattoo?" He stopped eating and sat up.
"Uh, no. His cousin works there and-"
"Cause i hate tattoos." Jacob smiled.
"Interrupt much?" I rolled my eyes. "As i was saying.. Gilinsky's cousin works there and he wants a tattoo and was asking my opinion." I totally lied.
"Why would he want your opinion?"
"Maybe because i have common sense? I don't know." I shrugged. I have never lied to Jacob like i just did. Truth was that I was going to get a tattoo and Gilinsky was going to go with me to get me a discount and for support. I couldn't tell Jacob that i was going to get a tattoo just like i couldn't tell him that i use to smoke and quit right before we got together. Those are two things that i found out that Jacob absolutely hated. Smoking and tattoos. I should be honest, but once i have it, i doubt he will talk me out of it... obviously.
We finished our meal and Jacob leaned back and asked me again about the tattoo thing.
"So what kind of tattoo is he going to get?"
"I don't know but could you not rub your stomach like that?" I laughed, " you look like a 70 year old man that just finished his salisbury steak."
"Whaaaaaaat?" Jacob mimicked an old man voice. "Sharon! My hearing aids?!"
I busted out laughing and everyone stared.
"Let's get out of here." I left a tip and pulled Jacob out of his chair.
"Yeah, I definitely need a nap."
"Then second breakfast?"
"Oh, you know it." Jacob pulled my in and kissed my forehead. "You can drive home from here right?" He tossed the keys.
"Definitely." I smiled and got in the car. Finally i had control of the radio without hearing him complain.
I plugged my phone in and See my Tears by MGK came on.
I looked over and Jacob was dazing out and had even unbuckled his pants due to how full he was.
"This is a pretty cool song." He fell asleep half way through it.
I got to his house and paused the song to help him get comfortable for his nap.
After i got a cup of water for him to wake up to on his nightstand and plugged in his phone, I got back in my car and called Gilinsky.
I love Jacob, I really do, but it's my body and I think I can do whatever the hell I want to it.
"Hello?" Gilinsky answered.
"Where are you?"
"At my house working on some music" Gilinsky yawned. "Get your butt over here and bring me-" He was cut off by yelling in the background. "Wait a sec..Okay, you're on speaker."
"I'm guessing ya'll want food?"
"YES GOD PLEASE" Everyone screamed.
"Text me your orders and from where but make it all from ONE place this time." I laughed. "Ya'll are such babies."
I heard arguing in the back about where to get food from.
"You're the best." Gilinsky said in his lazy voice. I could almost hear him smile.
"I know." I laughed and hung up.
As soon as i hung up i felt myself smiling. Wait a second... Were Jacob and I drifting apart between differences? Were Jack and I getting closer?
I snapped back into it when i hit the car in front of me.
Well shit.
