Autumn's pov

I stood there like a statue looking at him, why did he come here of all the firms in New York city, why here?? Oh the letter, why does Kincaid want to destroy my life when his brother destroyed mine.

" Autumn!!" I jerked when Alexis shouted my name "Are you okay??"

" Yeah am fine, I'm good, uhmm I have to go" I said but she drew me back

" No Aut, you are not going until we meet the guy, what's wrong I know there's something you are not telling me" she said looking at me, okay I have to tell her she is my best friend.

" That guy is Kincaid Salvador" I said
And she gasped

" As in Kyle's brother??"

" Yes and he is coming this way." I wished the ground can open up and this is a great time for my phone to ring.

" Hey ladies" he said flashing that his captivating smile. Focus Autty.  "Fancy seeing you here"

" You too" I said unsure of what to say,  I looked around the room thinking about a topic to bring "how is Kyra??"

" She's fine, so do you live in New York?" He said, hellooooo why are you being so formal, it's me Autty.

" Yes I do you and you?" I said formally whatever game he is playing I will play along .

" I just got here last week, thinking about settling here." He said

" Okay, uhmm this is Alexis my bff, Alexis this is Kincaid, uhmm....."

" let's say I was her best friend I don't know for now" he said cutting me short, excuse me ladies, I want to go get my self acquainted with other people, have a nice day" he said and left

" Okay what was that about??" Alexis said glaring at Kincaid like she wants to devour him.

" I don't know, but there's something wrong with him" I said, Kincaid never acts like this only when I offend him but what did I do to offend him this much, what if he is the blackmailer, no it's not possible, I was drawn out of the land of thought when Maxwell said

" Earth to Autumn, he laughed, the guy is familiar but I can't seem to place his face, " you are always thinking, every time you are lost in thought" he said flashing me that his cute smile.
Wait where did Alexis go to, how long have I been thinking.

" Just like you are doing now" he said and I realised that I have been thinking.

" Hahaha, I laughed and said " uhmm am sorry but I need to look for Alexis, she doesn't handle alcohol well" before I could leave he drew me back and said " You just can't leave now that I want to talk" I don't know if it's his voice or the thing in his blue eyes that sent a shiver down my body.

I swallowed hard and said "Last I checked Maxwell you are not the boss of me" I jerked his hand off and walked away.

Kincaid's pov

Damnit I was about to lose my mind around Autty, she is still the girl that drives me crazy, and she became more beautiful I wanted to run my hands into her hair, but I can't I know why am here. I am here to get revenge.

When her friend left I wanted to go over but that blonde guy went to her. I was pissed off when he grabbed her arm, was he threatening her?!  Whatever he was doing wasn't my business but, Autty was not happy.
She was afraid or surprised, I don't care anymore.

" Hello Mr Salvador, I am Haley Clapton from the department of public defense" a girl with black hair said extending her hand

"  Really??? Nice to meet you, is it Miss or Mrs" I said smiling
