"He is rounding up his hybrids." Elijah informed as he ended the call. "We have approximately 20 minutes before he returns to the house."
Everyone looked at Bonnie wondering the reason to the super secret meeting in the guest bedroom, the change of crisis headquarters from the library to her bedroom was reason enough to be apprehensive but the fact that she insisted on meeting with only the three siblings present was intriguing to say the least.
Since they didn't have much time she was straight to the point. "We can't let Klaus sacrifice himself for Caroline."
Confusion and surprise were installed immediately.
Rebekah was the first to react. "No one is more torn and conflicted about this than I am but it is his choice and we are talking about Caroline here, don't make this even harder than it has to be on all of us."
Bonnie shook her head reinforcing her security about what had to be done. "I never thought that I would be saying this but Klaus can't die. We can't let him do this."
"Because of the bloodline thing?" Kol asked confused about Bonnie's wishes.
"That I can fix with a spell, we can't let him die because Caroline would never recover from it. If she knows that we all just allowed him to die in order to save her life she will never forgive any of us. And Klaus doesn't deserve this." she looked at all of them now. "He got everyone here, I think it's time that you finally start paying him back and not stand so briskly while he jumps off a cliff. He loves Caroline, he genuinely and purely loves her and he had no second thoughts about doing this for her. That says a lot about him and I just can't let him do this... but I need your help. I can't do it alone."
"If we stop him, she will die. Can you imagine what that will do to him?" Rebekah asked.
Bonnie nodded. "It will destroy him. I really believe that none of them will be able to survive at this point without each other. And they shouldn't have to." she opened her arms frustrated. "I know my friend, I know how much she wanted someone to love her the way he does. I can't let him do this because they should be allowed to live, they've earned this and I'll be damned if I let the psycho that is your mother take this away from them. They have lost way too much and enough is enough." Bonnie said fiercely and gulped down because all three of them stood there with smirks on their faces.
"She loves our brother more than we do." Kol concluded.
Rebekah ignored him. "It's not that any of us haven't given thought to this but what can we actually do? Can we sacrifice ourselves instead of him?"
"There is another way." Bonnie quietly said.
"Niklaus will never forgive us for plotting behind his back, for going around forging a plan that doesn't include him. Not to mention that something could go wrong and that there is a chance Caroline wouldn't survive." Elijah said in his usual wisdom.
"I know, this is basically suicide and I'm the only one who can actually die here but I suspect that he will at least try a few times to kill the rest of you..." Bonnie said with a nervous smile.
"I'm ready to take responsibility." Rebekah took charge of the rescue operation.
That reassured Bonnie to no end, that's exactly what she was hoping that Rebekah would say.
Caroline pushed the tip of her boot a bit further, she was trying to mess with the white line of salt in front of her but as soon as she touched the salt there was a tiny smoke cloud that came from the contact of both, she kept her foot there just for a little more but almost instantly there was a painful fire sensation taking over her foot and leg.
