A little fun

{Jonathan's POV}

"Ha! I told you I could convince him to come join us!" Jon bickers at Jaime and Garfield  "Yeah yeah" Garfield gives Jon 5$ because he lost the bet "why do you two always bet?" Garfield shrugs as Jon smiles "cause it's fun winning money" At the back of Jaime's truck, Jon grabs his surf board. "So the party later on. You said there will be an artist there performing, is that true?" Garfield answers "I think s-" someone cut him off "Tove Lo." We all turn to see Samuel "since I am the one running the party it's my duty to know who is playing at the party later on" Jaime looks away as Garfield rolls his eyes "Good to know. Oh! I think Kori and Raven need help unloading their stuff" Garfield says smiling as Samuel walks away towards the girls. They turn to me "and tell me why you brought him again?" I laugh "cause I didn't want to come alone and I feel like he would think I'm trying to avoid him" Jaime playfully hits my arm "whatever you say, Hermanó" as he hit my arm I slightly Yelp in pain "Woah- sorry. I didn't hit you that hard-" I hold my arm "I have a bruise on my arm. That's all" they both quickly glance at each other "why would you have a bruis-" I look away "I ran into a wall... now drop it" They looked surprised by my comment "I mean-... No no! It's fine! I should have told you that I had a bruise! You don't need to tell Dami- I swear, I'm okay." They both raised their brows "whatever you say, dude." Jaime shrugs "sorry. I'll be right back. I'm gonna go buy us some lemonade somewhere at these booths" Garfield's face lightens up "wonder if they have tofu burgers?!" I smile "only one way to find out" I see them start to walk towards the booths "you coming Jon?" I look away from them towards Samuel "no. I'm going to go take a swim" They nod "alright! You want anything?" I force a smile "Some 7up or sprite" I watch them walk away

{Damian's POV}
I get into my Zenvo ST1. since I got my license recently, I could finally convince father to get me a car of my own. I had my duffle bag beside me. It had my shorts, sunscreen, towel, sunglasses and in the back of the car was my surf board that Jon got me for my birthday. I softly smile to myself but I then realized I was smiling about Jonathan. I scowl to myself as I start the engine and drive out the bat cave. I turn on the radio and continued to drive. I heard my phone go off.

BING!

I quickly get a glimpse of my phone and see that Dakota sent me a message. I groan "what could she possibly want right now?"

         -later on-

I could see the beach "finally" I pull up beside Jaime's truck and-

Samuels car...

I felt my hands clench as I grab my duffle bag beside me "Of course Jon had to invite him" I unload my stuff and start walking to the beach. I spot Raven and Starfire sitting on their beach blankets "Greetings, Damian" I nod "good afternoon, starfire." she smiles as she pulls down her shades as she looks towards the ocean "Damian, Jonathan has been out there for quite awhile now. Seems like something is on his mind" I follow her gaze towards the ocean and see Jon on his surf board but not surfing. Just sitting there on his board, looking forward at the ocean . "Maybe you should check on him" Starfire said giving me a soft smile "Alright. Just let me unpack my stuff and get my surf board" Starfire nods

I finished setting up my blanket and my umbrella. I grab my surf board and start walking towards the ocean that had a beautiful scene. I look across the nice calm sea as I see Jon looking at the distance. I slowly walk into the sea as I think of what I should do or say to him. The water started to get more deeper so I hop onto my board and started using my arms to peacefully paddle to him. I was right behind "Jon?" As I called out to him, he slightly jumped "oh! Damian... hi" he shifted a bit awkwardly "what are you doing out here?" I give him a small smile "came for a swim" he looked a bit disappointed about my answer "And to check up on you" his expression goes to sad to surprised "o-oh, that's sweet of you" I felt off guard by his response "I-umm... yeah." Jon looked at the upcoming wave then to me, he grinned "let's go catch some waves, Dami" I nod "Alright. First one to catch a good wave and also do cool tricks win." He snorts playfully "You're on" we started to go toward the upcoming waves. A small wave was coming to us. We both dived under the wave and back up to the surface. A big wave was coming our direction. We turn our boards toward the beach and sit on our board, ready for the wave to hit us. I look towards Jon's direction "Ready?" Jon nodded "I'm ready to kick your butt" I rolled my eyes playfully "In your dreams, Kent." He grins "Oh, my dreams will happen." The wave carried us, we both slowly stand
