Myra & Blake
POV: Blake
━━━━⊱⋆⊰━━━━

I sit nervously at the table, picking at my finger nails as the minutes go by.
what if myra changes her mind and doesn't come?
I think to my myself
I don't even blame her, i treated her like shit, what if somethings happened to her on the way here? what if it's too late and I'll have missed my chance to tell her how I really feel? Shit. Blake. Stop overreacting, Myra's fine, you're just nervous.
For a few split seconds i feel a sense of calm, Myra isn't like that, she'll turn up. For God sake, you used to be a feared gang leader, stop being such a coward.
A woman, who looks like she could be in her late 30's, from a few tables away stares at me with concern. By the facial expressions and thoughts running through my mind I would probably be doing the same.
'Where would you like to sit madam?' I hear a waiter ask one of his customers.
I swing round in my chair, and there stands Myra, in the most beautiful lilac coloured dress I've ever seen. Her hair is curled, which is a shock to see since she always wore that purple wig or kept her natural hair straight. They spiral down her back, almost reaching waists length where her dress then delicately drags behind her. In comparison to all the other women here she looks incredible. Slowly, she makes her way towards the table i booked for us and i quickly rise to my feet almost dragging the entire table cloth and all its contents with me.
'I-i didn't think you'd show up' i begin
'That would've been a stupid thing for me to do.. even though you owe me' she lightly punches my shoulder and sends me a shy smile.
'thankyou' i send her a nervous smile back.
We stand there for a few seconds gazing into each others eyes.
'OH' i raise my eyebrows and walk over to the seat opposite me, gently sliding it towards me so Myra can sit down. She chuckles and sits on it as i slide it back towards the table. I also sit back down.
'I'm so glad you asked me' Myra sends me an even warmer smile then before, resting her arms on the table.
'A-asked you what?'
'You know what i mean, silly' she rolls her eyes.
come on Blake, don't ruin it.
I look into her eyes in search for help.
'this date' she proceeds
'ohh, that' my eyes wonder for a second.
why am i like this?
I think Myra could tell I was feeling a bit nervous, even though I could tell she was too. She placed her hands upon mine having to sit forward in her chair so she can reach.
'Don't feel nervous around me Blake, it's only me' she continues to smile, with that perfect smile of hers 'is something bothering you? we can go somewhere else if you like or-'
I interrupt 'nono, nothings wrong, but-'
now is your chance.
The waiter comes over with our menu's.
Dammit.
I completely forgot that we hadn't even ordered food yet let alone looked at the menu. He places them down on our table. 'call me over when you're ready to order' the waiter adjusts his bow tie.
'thankyou' Myra glances at the menu and looking at her facial expressions, she hasn't even heard of half the dishes on the it. I wouldn't have either, if it wasn't for my mother and her constant ordering around of the chefs. Everything had to be perfect and she always had to be the best at everything.
When Myra is finished with her menu she looks over to me while adjusting her position on her chair 'you were saying?'
'well' I begin, literally having to force my words out 'I've been meaning to tell you this for a while now, and it's one of the reasons i asked you to go on this date with me'
She tilts her head to the side in confusion.
I sigh 'I was a dickhead towards you and half the time i knew how much you cared about me and how much i meant to you, I was a different person back then'
'Blake-'
'No, I know what you're about to say, but it's true, I was, and firstly I wanted to apologise for that-'
The waiter returns with a notepad and pen in his hand ready to write our orders down.
not this time.
'Not now man, can you go adjust your tie again or something'
He sends me a confused but also frustrated look, then looks at Myra, before shrugging his shoulders and walking off to greet the new customers.
'The truth is Myra, you've always had a place in my heart'
Her eyes widen with joy.
'If something ever happened to you, i would be devastated, fucking hell when Jane held you at gun point all those years ago i was so close to-' i rub my temples in anger.
Lost for words Myra stares at me in awe. She's probably never seen a gang leader, or should i say ex gang leader, confess his feelings to someone before.
'The time i tried to use you as a distraction for Owen to i could have Amber all to myself was one of the worst decisions I've ever made and i still regret it to this day.. no girl should ever be treated that way, especially if that girl is you Myra, the way i spoke to you-'
'That's all i wanted to hear' Myra stands up, clutching her dress so it doesn't get caught on the end of the table. She walks over to me and whispers in my ear 'Lets get out of here'
thank god, this place reeks of posh people wanting to splash their money around.
I stand up and take her hand, leading the way to the main entrance. I glance behind me and see the waiter watching us leave, he had the face of these darn kids never learn. Before we get into the limo i turn Myra towards me, gently cup her face in my hands and kiss her.
'I love you Myra Abston'.
