POV: Lynch

"Lynch?" Dad asks "Are you okay?"

Of course I'm not okay. How would I explain to the most beautiful girl I've ever seen that I'm in love with her? How would I even explain that to Dad?

"No"

"What's wrong?" his eyes search for an answer in mine.

"It's just.. I'm in love with someone dad"

He raises his eyebrows, and kind of looks relieved.

"You had me worried then Lynch" he lets out a short chuckle.

"It's not funny!" my eyes widen with rage "How on earth am I going to tell her?..What if she rejects me?..What if it's embarrassing-"

"Listen" he gently places a hand on my shoulder, calming me down "You are the most handsomest and smartest young boy I've ever seen and she would be insane to not like you back"

"But what I've learnt myself, especially from your mother, is that a girl always likes a guy who shows his emotions and that understands her struggles. They like when a guy fights for what he loves. That way, he truly shows that he cares."

I nod in agreement.

"But the most important thing is to always smirk, girls love that"

I remember mum always telling me stories from when her and dad met, she always said she hated that smirk of his because it made him look 'cocky'.

"Didn't mum say she hated that, or still does?" I ask.

"Your mother loves it really" he grins "Especially in the bedroo-  ah, I mean but don't tell her or she'll put me in hospital"

I can't believe dad just said that. My poor brain Is now forever traumatised..

"Hmm, let me think about it" I joke.

Dad generally has a fearful look on his face until I say "HAHA JUST KIDDING"

"You better be" he chuckles "But what is this girl like, what's her name?"

I point outside to the group of friends that my older sister, Emerald ran off to a few minutes ago.

"That Imogen girl?"

"No dad"

"Hmm whats her name, Eliza?"

"Not a chance"

"Imogen? Oh wait I just said her name"

"It's Violet"

"Ohhh, I see"

Violet has the most beautiful bluey / greeny coloured eyes you will ever find and her charcoal-coloured hair flows down her back like a waterfall. She has the perfect smile which makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside, the same feeling I feel when I'm with my family. Words can't even describe how gorgeous she is.

Dad ruffles my hair and I can't help but grin at the the thought of just seeing her sit across the room from me.

"Have a good day Lynch, and I hope it all goes well with Violet, which I'm sure it will" he sends me a reassuring smile "Remember to smirk"

"Haha, will do dad" I hop out the car.

Violet Bowmen, I think to myself, the most beautiful girl in the whole wide world.

I think we can all guess who's child she is .. The surname is definitely a huge giveaway. (If you don't manage to figure it out, I'll put it in the next extract)
