Barrys pov

Me and kara walk into her apartment the door making a little squeak as it opens I look around and it's very nice with a little carpet in the walk way and sofas to my left the kitchen to my right "you have a nice apartment kara" she looks at me a little bit of redness coming to the face " thanks Barry I take pride in my things anyway the spear bedroom is opposite the bathroom just down the hall to your right near the kitchen" I walk through the hall way and open the door to see a reasonable sized room with a bed in the top left corner and a dresser to the right " is it ok for you Barry" I walk back to the main room " yeah its fantastic thank you so much kara " she looks with a smile " us heros have to stick together right"
We both laugh a bit.

Karas pov

"So Barry you hungry we can order some pizza" Barrys face beamed with happiness " I am famished oh I should say I do need a minimum of 10,000 calories a day" " really and I thought I was a big eater".
30mins later the pizzas come and me and Barry start to get to know each other. " So what universe do you come from anyway" " I come from earth 1 I think this is earth 38 but I don't really know" " kara where are you from" I look at him a nervous to say "well I come from another planet it was called Krypton" Barry looks at me in amazement " so your an alien that's so cool but you said was" I look down in sadness " it got destroyed" I nearly start to cry when I feel something touching my arm I look and its Barrys hand I look at him " are you ok you don't have to keep talking about it" he shows kindness and worry for someone who he just met I lean in closer inch by inch nearing his red lips untill I hear lots sirens going bye " I should probably go check to see if that is important" I see yellow lighting and Barry infront of me " no we should check it out " he stands infront of me ready to go in his red and yellow suit. I quickly get my suit on and we both follow the police.
A person with some missiles was threatening to blow up the city me and Barry show up on the scene he takes low ground I take high ground in case he launches the missiles Barry trys to talk him down " You don't have to do this it can all stop if you put the launch button down and take your self in " the person looks angrily at him " you think I am going to turn my self in no way" he goes to press the button but Barry grabs it out of his hand before he could doit at super speed and runs to the police to give it to them. BANG!!! we hear a gun shot it was the person he shot his gun things seemed to go in slow motion as it hit Barry "Nooooo" I scream flying in to grab the him and going as fast as I can to the D.E.O med bay I rush past everyone and carefully put him down on the bed tears in my face as I see Barry laying unconscious I Xray his body to see if the bullet was still in there it was in his back I try to get it out but the doctors force me out and operate immediately to save his life.

Barrys pov

I wake up not knowing where I am. I see kara to my left looking worried and sad "kara" I say sounding hurt "Barry! I am so glad I didn't lose you I've been so worried for the past hour waiting for you to wake up" I look at her with a smile " I'm ok I heal fast can we go back to your apartment yet I want to tell you something" " yeah the doctor said that yiu are fine to go when you wake up" I get up and kara pucks me up to fly to her apartment. we go through the open window and we both sit in the sofa " so what did you want to tell me Barry" I look at her nervous " well since I almost died it made me put my life into perspective and I want to say this to you kara I love you" she blushes and takes off her glasses " I love you too Barry"she jumps on me to give me a passionate kiss on my lips she cups my face I hold her closer we let go and fall asleep in each others arms on the sofa.
