*My first story, here's the first chapter of my camaya story*
Maya's POV:
I walked through the wide halls of Degrassi. I held my books close to my chest, and searched for Tori. Tori came rushing up to me, with a wide smile.
"Maya!" She yelled as ran over.
"Hey Tori! How's it going?" I replied.
"Happy as ever. Zig and I have been together for four months now." She said in a happy tone.
"Damn Tori! You have told me a thousands times!" I rolled my eyes.
"Oh come Maya, you'd be happy too if you were crushing on someone or you were dating someone." She smirked at me.
I looked down at my feet. "I have no time for boys I have to focus on-" I was cut off. I bumped into someone. "I'm so sorry!" someone spoke quickly and dropped to the floor to pick up my books. As soon as I finally put my head up, he was already to his feet with my books in his hands. "It's okay." I replied looking into his big brown eyes. Then I noticed something, he was wearing an ice hounds jacket. But he wasn't like all the other hockey players. He was shy, and he much quieter than the others. He gave me a small smile and his cheeks turned a light shade of red. I bit my lip, and smiled back. He then walked away over to the hockey players.
"Someone has a little crush. More like two people." I heard Tori laugh from behind me. I turned around to see her smirking at me.
Campbell's POV:
Who was that? I had no idea who she was but I wanted to find out. I walked over to hockey players, but I just couldn't keep focus. I had a small smile upon my face.
"Someone seems distracted." Luke laughed.
"Seems that little Cam has a crush." Dallas mocked me.
I ignored them and decided to just walk to my next class, French class. The team looked at me with confusion but then started to laugh and started a different conversation.
Maya's POV:
My cheeks were covered with a bright red and I looked down at my feet, and then back up at Tori.
"Do not!" I yelled.
"Oh come on Maya! You like him and it seems he does too. Do you even know who that is!?" She laughed.
My blushed even more at the thought of that boy liking me. I didn't even have a clue who he was. I stayed silent.
"That was the star of the hockey team. Campbell. Campbell Saunders." She said with a wide smile. Tori had no interest in him, but loved the fact that I had a thing for him. Wait no. What am I thinking? I don't like him.
"That's great Tori! Let's just get to French class." I pulled her arm into the classroom. I walked into see Campbell Saunders sitting at a seat in the back of the class. Oh great. But I for some odd reason felt this nervousness in my stomach. Tori ran over to sit with Tristan and didn't even notice Cam. Thank god. Wait did I just call him Cam? What am I doing?! I walked over to Tori and Tristan, then sat down.
Campbell's POV:
I looked up to see the girl I met earlier, that I still don't know the name of, and that girl Tori. The only reason I knew who Tori was is because the hockey team always talked about how hot she was. But I honestly think that girl is prettier. But I don't even know her name! "Maya has a cruuuuush!" I heard Tori yell. The girl slapped her arm. Her name was Maya. Wait a second Maya has a crush? On me? No way. "I do not Tori!" I heard Maya say. God I'm so confused.
"Alright Class. We will be working in pairs today." I heard the teacher say. "Maya Matlin and Campbell Saunders, you two will be partners." Then she contuined calling out names. I looked up to see Maya walking over to me. "Hi I'm Maya." She said. "I'm Cam." I replied trying not to show my nervousness.
Class had passed by so fast. Maya and I had already finished our paper. The teacher then passed out the homework that we had for the night. "Hey uh Maya. Do you maybe want to work on the french homework after school?" I asked. She smiled and said "I would love to Cam." Then she walked back to her seat. She had a pretty smile. I'm falling for a girl I barely know! But I'm hoping that she'll fall for me too.
