Flashback to before Yena joined IZ*ONE high school
Who am I exactly? I don't even know the answer myself. All I know is that I somehow became one of the most popular girls at IZ*ONE high school and that I have secrets just like any random kid. I was aware of the new kid coming to the school. Of course everyone was impressed because this kid was able to pass the ridiculously hard entrance exam with a very high score.
You might be asking yourself, "Why is this such a big deal around your school, didn't everyone else in your school have to pass this 'ridiculously hard exam as well" The answer would be yes everyone had to pass this exam to even be considered for enrollment, but that was applying when in middle school where the cutoff score is much lower than the ones for transfer students. The entrance was out of 1000, the cutoff for people in my grade was about 600+ and even that score was difficult to achieve. When I found out about my acceptance here like I barely got a 610. I did my best on that exam to get a 610 and be accepted at IZ*ONE high school.
For transfer students the cutoff score was 950 points. In order to get 950 points you would have to get like almost every single question on that exam correct which was impossible. The highest score I heard of before the new kid was a 750 and that record was held by Hong Jisoo or Joshua like everyone called him. Joshua was the smartest dude that I knew but also hated for separate reasons I don't feel like explaining.
From what I understand and heard from other kids is this new kid will be the first transfer student at IZ*ONE high school in over 30 years. To be honest I don't think the new kid how lucky he/she may be to even get a spot in this school. When the whole school found out a new kid transferring here, they became detectives and attempted to unlock the identity of this new kid.
In my head I was hoping the new kid was a cute girl. You may be asking 'Why were you hoping the new kid was a cute girl?' Simple, I'm gay like that is literally the answer.
Kids around the school attempted to figure out the new kid's name and find some sort of picture of her and the date of when she'll enroll at this school. At the time I was with Chaewon discussing the new kid and asking questions,
"Chaewonnie everyone seems to be talking and figure out more about the new kid, but like do they even have a name to start off with." I asked
"Actually recently some people have found a name and how did they find, I'm gonna guess they did something illegal." chaewon responded
"So like what's this dude name." I asked, trying not to sound interested.
"Actually I don't think she's a dude, but the name I got is Choi Yena." Sounds like a girl name
"How did you find out this chaewonie"
"Some guy named Donghyuck did."
"We have a donghyuck in this school?" I asked
"yeah Yuri, actually I think everyone calls his haechan actually"
"OH, Haechan yea the dude that's like in love with you."
