(Zane's pov) She was in a peaceful state, the most peaceful I'd ever seen. Soft purrs escaped her mouth as I gently stroked her hair. Her eyes fluttered open slowly as she cuddled into my chest. I couldn't help but smile, "Good morning, Nana." I smirked at her tired reply, "I don't want to get up it's too cold and you're really warm." We sat and savored the peaceful silence as I held her close. I wanted to hold her like this forever and be the one to protect her.

(Nana's pov) My heart raced with a hard thump. Slowly I felt his hold tighten around me making me feel comfortable in his embrace, it gave me a hazy feeling. Zane smiled as he spoke softly into my ear, "I think we should get up by now, it is pretty late" I murmured while blushing, "Fine.." I said snuggling him one last time before getting up. I instantly fell over caught in the blanket. Luckily Zane caught me, he held me while I freed myself from the blanket entangled around me. I went to the ladder and dropping down into the passageway. I was quickly met with two bitter scowls from Katelyn and Aaron. My mind went blank, like a light in my head shut off leaving me clueless. "Kawaii chan we need to tell you something. We need you and Zane." Aaron said with that same bitter look as when I walked in. my mouth was dry and my hands cold. I choked out response the best I could but all that came out was a whimper of fear. Katelyn's expression softened, "Listen to us Kawaii chan, we don't mean to alarm you. were a bit upset that we couldn't find either of you when HQ called us." "He should be back soon I promise." My voice was close to inaudible. Zane was holding the box and the blanket, Met with Aaron's bitter scowl He gave a confused glance in my direction I probably looked afraid. "What did I miss?" Zane asked Aaron with a glare, "We have new recruits coming aboard the space station. 5 to be exact." Aaron said my eyes widened as one question filled my mind. "what are they going to do here?" I asked out loud. "They will be assigned roles like we were. They will tell us their roles and work with us for a while." Aaron explained, "Now I suggest you get ready for their arrival they will be joining us today."

I ran to our room to clean up and hide while I make myself look presentable.

I quickly showered and got dressed threw my clothes into a hamper.

quickly Aaron called us to the corridor.

I walked in and saw a crew of five more astronauts I smiled as I heard them introduce themselves.

The first was a girl with long orange hair, beautiful red eyes, a slim figure that gave her an elegant yet fierce pose. She looked so confident, she spoke with authority and the words sounded soft yet firm. "I am the leader of this division, it is a pleasure to be working with you and your team." She began introductions, "I am Lucinda White-witch," she motioned to a boy next to her, "this is Laurence Zvahl he is my second in command," he had bright blue eyes Light brown hair his skin was fairly tanned he had broad shoulders and a slightly muscular build, "Next is Reese his last name is confidential," Reese had a pink skin color, pink hair that darkened at the roots, he had and a very slight build, and then our eyes met his eyes had a pale blue. "then with less formalities; Dante and Nichole." Dante waved, he was tall and didn't have much of a build. his dark curly blue hair matched his blue eyes. A girl stood shyly next to him her long red hair looked like soft silk, her eyes soft and shy, she smiled at me. It made me feel happy "I'm Kawaii chan!" I blurted out before the others. I don't know what made me do it but I wanted to get my name out of the way for some reason.

After everyone was acquainted

I left the room and went to a quiet place. I just needed it for some reason, even I didn't know why. I just needed it. I was in the room that Zane had shown me the room we spent the night in. It was calming as I looked up at a bunch of stars

Here it was almost always night but everywhere else they saw the sun shining on them. I thought about my family.

I smiled at the image of them.

I didn't feel so alone anymore, that dark feeling slowly drifted away. My heart melted at the memories of my mom. I missed her dearly. I know she would be proud of me of she could see, she would have been proud of whatever I became. Enjoying the silence was best for me. I abruptly felt the warmth of a hug around me but I didn't feel those comfy butterflies. it was more of a nervous on edge feeling, "sorry Zane I'm not in the mood right now." I didn't hear a response for a while "The thing is I'm not Zane." I sighed in relief I knew that voice. "Travis you scared me!" I said emphatically.

"sorry Kawaii chan. But then again that might have been what I was going for." we both had a quick laugh, "we should probably head back before your boyfriend starts to worry." Travis said, "He's not my boyfriend, yet." he laughed, "come on we need to go."

we met back with the others they didn't really mind me leaving. I stood with Zane as the others socialized and got acquainted, Then Reese came up to me and Zane but, strangely he only stood in front of me. "Hello, princess. I am Reese." he held out his hand I hesitantly took and shook hands. "It's nice to meet you, Reese." I nudged Zane to get his full attention I pushed Zane in front of Reese "Reese, I would like you to meet Zane. Zane, this is Reese." They briefly shook hands, "It is very nice to be acquainted with you, Zane." "Same here." I let them get to know one another as I just stood to the side of Zane.

I realized that Reese was asking me a question, "-Don't you agree?" "Come again?" I was utterly confused he smiled and repeated himself, "it's strange that normally you wouldn't room males and females in the same room yet you and Zane share a room, it's out of conduct." I bit my lip briefly, "yeah I guess."
