Chapter 2

(Megan’s POV)

I woke up on my pillow and under my covers surprisingly. I was still in my clothes from yesterday and my first day of school outfit was hanging on my closet door. My room was almost fully unpacked and set up too.

“Mom was in here last night and tucked me in while she unpacked the stuff for my room” was the first thought that popped into my head.

I smiled to myself, grabbed some underwear and a towel and headed for the bathroom. It wasn’t occupied surprisingly, because Dylan usually beats me to the bathroom. He can be such a girl sometimes it was almost sad but funny.

I took a quick shower, put on my clothes, packed my bag, and headed downstairs for breakfast. No one was in the kitchen which looked organized. I’m guessing mom and dad stayed up late last night to finish unpacking. My mom was probably asleep and my dad at work.

I prepared and bowl of cereal for me and Dylan as I waited for him to get ready. I was halfway into my bowl when he came downstairs.

“Morning sleeping beauty.” I said.

“Morning early bird,” he said in a cheery tone as he sat down to eat his breakfast.

He was wearing some dark jeans, his BVB wrist band, and a black short sleeve button down. His hair was brushed so that it fell into his eyes. Hey can you blame me? My brother actually looked cool.

“Jealous of my handsomeness?” he said as he caught me staring but didn’t look up.

“Not at all. I’m shocked that you actually look cool for once.” I shot back.

“I’m shocked you’re actually up early and not still snoring you ears out in bed you lazy ass.” He said only half joking.

“We aren’t all early birds like you Mr. Overly Cheery. Besides I’m excited to see what kind of people are at out new school and if it’s really worth it to make friends.”

“You? Excited? To be social? Who the fuck are you and what have you done with my sister?”

I laughed and put my bowl in the sink. “Let’s get going before we’re late.” I said.

“Right behind you.” he said putting his bowl in the sink as well. We grabbed our bags and keys and were out the door.

We arrived at school in Dylan's car in the school parking lot. I froze and stared at all the kids, especially the girls. They were dressed head to toe in pink and had bleached blonde hair. The total opposite of what I was looking for in a friend, if I was even going to try to be social, which I highly doubted now. I felt someone take my hand and give it a comforting squeeze.

"Don’t worry Meg. You probably won’t have any classes with them." Dylan said giving me a sympathetic smile. I smiled back weakly hoping he was right otherwise I’d be totally screwed. This day was going to be interesting.

I went to the secretary’s office after parting with Dylan because his senior classes were in the other wing. Lucky me I would have to deal with meeting new people all alone. Not that I was blaming him because it wasn't his fault. I found my locker with all my books neatly inside. I looked down at my schedule to see what my first class was:
