Six months later I was in a good place, I was very happy at work and even more happier with my relationship with Jerry. Everyday he showed me that I made the right choice to be with him.
I was just finishing up with a client on the phone when Diane walked in all smiles, I asked her " what has you so happy, have another date with Bill? " she shook her head and said "no I don't have another date with Bill." she handed me a nice fancy envelop with my name on it. Who could this be from I wonder.
Feeling all nervous I opened the envelop to find a note telling me to look out my office window, butterflies formed in my stomach and my mouth became dry as I walked over to the window. Please don't be something painful after such a great few months.
As I looked out the window on a billboard Jerry had written will you marry me, is this really happening. I didn't even hear Jerry come in, I felt his arms wrap around me and he whispered in my ear " I love you and know we haven't been together for too long but please stay with me forever. " tears started to fall and I said "yes" his lips tasted so good that I learned in for a deeper kiss. Never give up on love as it can be found at any age, I did at forty years old.
