sam and Colby were going on a trip to the Miami Florida beach. Colby has always loved that beach and everything about it. He used to always go with his family and whenever he needed alone time, he'd just go there.
They had to go to Florida for an xplr trip and decided to go to the beach to watch the sunset. neither of them, at the time knew that they both had feeling for each other. you don't naturally just say "oh I'm in love with my best friend!" yea, thats not how it happened.
sam and Colby were running in the sand and soon sat to watch the sunset. Colby had been filming a time lapse of the sunset while they both sat behind the camera and watched.
"hey sam?" Colby looked at sam.
"yea" sam spoke peacefully.
Colby turned back facing the sunset, head tilted to the side. "do you think, if you ever had to do anything risky that could change everything, would you do it?"
"depends on the risky situation. But yea, I guess so. You only live once and should live beyond the norm and take chances." sam chuckled.
"yea but what if its really risky. like something that would make people judge you or maybe not like you." Colby said still staring at the ocean.
"well, people will judge, but you should never think about what other people think and just think about yourself and be who you want to be. why are you asking?"
by now the sun has gone down and it is dark outside with only the boardwalk street lamps lighting the way.
Colby turns towards sam, and plays with his shoelace of his vans. sam looks towards Colby concerned at this point thinking there is something wrong.
"as long as we know each other, you will always be the most important person to me ever." Colby scooted closer to sam.
sam smiled, sitting criss cross, now being closer to Colby than he was before.
"would you take a big risk as far as to cancel your plans with Kat this weekend?"
"what do you mean?"
colby held out his pointer finger and lifted sam chin so that their lips were inches apart.
"would you?"
"I-"
Colby cut sam off with a soft pair of lips on his. unexpectedly, sam kisses back realizing how much feelings he had for his best friend this whole time.
they pull apart with tingles still on their lips.
"yea. maybe I can cancel." sam smiled.
