The lead singer of The Killers took a rather late flight home from Los Angeles to Salt Lake City. Later than he would have liked. Brandon returned home at 11:00 on Sunday night after traveling for nearly 3 hours. He loved coming home to his family after a short time away. It made him realize how much he would hate leaving his family to tour for the next album, but it came with the job.

Brandon Flowers took in the view of his boys, cuddled up with Xbox controllers in their hands, fast asleep on the couch. Tana said they tried staying up playing video games, but it was just too late. He removed the Xbox controllers from the boys' grips, turned the TV off, and picked up some clutter on the floor of the game room. Before returning to his own bedroom, he turned off the lights. He was only a little bit saddened that he didn't get to experience his kids' energy. It was always nice to come home to after a stressful weekend.

His wife was waiting in bed, scrolling through Instagram posts of cats. She looked up when her husband came into the room. "I missed you," she said with a smile.

"I missed you too darlin'," Brandon replied. Tana loved it when she got called cute, cheesy names.

"You're so cheesy," she giggled.

Brandon walked over to her and leaned down to give her a sweet peck on the cheek. He left the bedroom and got ready for bed. He returned to Tana scrolling through some Killers' fan accounts. Brandon thought it was incredibly odd that she followed some of them, but they were very complimentary of her and made her laugh. He crawled into the warm bed with his wife, picking up his own phone to check the status of the recent Killers' post, making sure they hadn't become irrelevant.

"You do realize you and the guys have the sweetest fan base ever, right? They are so in awe of you. It's incredible how supportive they are. There's accounts that rave about your style, hair, shoes-there's even an account dedicated for your jacket! They deserve way more credit than they receive."

"Yeah, Ted keeps track of the fans too. I like seeing different posts of people doing covers."

"Have you checked out the memes?"

Brandon felt stupidly old for asking the following question: "What's a meme?"

After about 15 minutes of Tana explaining to Brandon and many basic memes until he felt he finally understood the concept.

She showed him some of her favorites that were made about The Killers. He liked a lot of them - they were so creative and hilarious! They came across other accounts, ones that focused on the captions more than the picture, teenage girls that were completely obsessed, accounts that used the caption section to what they believed what was going on in the post. There was a post that was in the middle of a caption contest, which sparked Brandon's interest. Brandon saw a picture of himself with a devilish expression stirring a glass of God knows what. The competitors were supposed to come up with a caption to describe want Brandon was doing or thinking. The winner would be announced on Wednesday. The couple was betting on their favorite comments to win.

We looked at fan-created memes a bit longer, and then she placed her phone on her wireless charger. Brandon was glad to see her do so. "Let's have a day in the snow tomorrow. That's all the boys could talk about. They have it all planned. For some reason, they really missed you this time, which is weird because it was only five days," she said with a shrug. "I guess we got used to you being home."

"That sounds like fun. I'm sure we'll enjoy whatever they have planned. I hope they'll spare us some alone time, though," he said with a slight smirk, causing Tana to blush uncontrollably. "But seriously, I would like to take you out one day this week, if you don't already have plans." He had a surprise for his wife. The husband side of him wanted it to be a very romantic night for the two.

"That should be a lot of fun! I can't wait to see where you take me. We haven't been out in a while." Her words started to slow as she gradually became sleepier. "I'm going to bed," she said with a yawn before kissing Brandon on the cheek.

"Alright. I love you."

"I love you, too. I'm glad you're home."

"Me too. Sleep well."

The singer rolled over and turned the lamp off, but it took a little while for him to go to bed, he was so excited to take his honey out, but even more excited to give her the present he got her.
