Being the only son in my family has it's perk's. For one, I'm always in charge no matter what I'm doing, wether it be from babysitting my sister to being the next heir for Kim Corp. But of course there's a whole lotta down fall's as well.

“Come on Taehyung! It's only one party and besides, you don't need to be there all night. You can always go home early and do your little studies.” Hoseok, my bestfriend who's unloyal and a little bit of a bitch suggests.

“You know my father would rather have me chained up to my bed and glue a book to my face than have me going out and making friend's.” it was a fact. He was someone who would absolutely, one hundred percent, lock me in my room and do that.

“Kinky.” I rolled my eye's and ignored his comment before closing my locker. “You have a undeniably perverted imagination. You should get that checked up.”

He just laughed it off as we walked to our third period for the day, which we unfortunately had next.

Walking into class only presented one of two thing's; my teacher constantly complementing me which didn't help the "teachers pet" insults, and a unnerving eyeroll from non other than Jeon Jeongguk himself.

To make word's more into perspectiveㅡ me and Jeongguk were like enemies. I was caring of other's and respectful, unlike Jeongguk who fought with anyone who looked at him. And yet he was more popular than me just because he was attractive to other's.

And he was in a band. A rock band to be more precise. Both women and men fawned over him because that was the thing to do now a days; like some wanna be bad boy.

It made me livid because Jeongguk was never like that before. He was a sweet and caring boy who I had a little crush on in primary school, and then middle school hit and he just never seemed to get out of that emo faze. He became a bully who's hormones never stopped and his personality went from one hundred to zero quickly.

We stopped being friends, he bullied me, and I became closed off from then on. We stopped talking and even seeing each other at school, but then Junior year came and we got put in the same class where we sat right next to each other.

That's why third period is my least liked class.

“Alright class! Today we'll be dissecting the frog we discussed about all week. You will follow your instructions and will be partners with the person next to you.” I inwardly groaned. “If you have any complaints please inform me, but until then I want you and your partner working hard on this project.”

While she passed out the instructions, I grabbed all our tools and even brought the frog because the jerk refused to get up.

After organising everything in a way that wouldn't enable us to speak to one another, I grabbed the knife and proceeded to cut open the body, but I heard a loud groan beside me and glanced up.

There Jeongguk staredㅡ nose pericing scrunched up along with his nose as his eye's glared at me. I chose to ignore it but he kept glaring so much that I chose to speak up.

“You have a problem with me starting the project or?” He just scoffed and continued to stare. “Oh I see, you want me to do it all for you am I right? Ha well your in luck because I don't want your filthy hand's touching our project anyway.”

This time I smirked in victory seeing his face drop and continue to keep his face hateful towards me.

“Whatever. Less work for me anyway nerd.” I rolled my eye's and scooted my project further away from him.

It was all fine and dandy until the teacher noticed us not talking nor Jeongguk working on the project.

“Taehyung, Jeongguk! I know you two don't get along but please work together for this project or it'll dramatically drop your grade. And I know grade's mean everything to you mr.Kim.” so now I was the one being at risk here.

I rolled my eye's for the thirtieth time and scooted back towards Jeongguk. “Grab the knife and cut through the third layer of skin. When your done cutting through give me a close description of what it looks like inside.”

I heard a snicker and looked up only to be thrown a look of trouble. “You think I'm going to listen to a nerd like you? I don't care about my grade so it obviously doesn't affect me unlike you, mr perfect prince of the west.” I glared at him and debated wether I should consult the teacher on switching partners with me.

“Well you should care because if I fail due to your unbelievable shitty personality I'll report you to my father and then we'll see who gets another gig somewhere big.” i saw his face drop, and for almost a few seconds I saw his expression change to worry, but then he picked up the knife and did as I said.

I sighed because I hated using my father's power against other people. But I had to make this exception because I'd have to be the one feeling the wrath of my father's power if my grade's were lower than an A.

Ten minutes before class ended, our teacher made another announcement. “As I've said many time's now, this is a big project so I want you guy's to take it seriously. This project will have to be worked on out of school so make plan's with your partner. No exceptions!” I wanted to cry right then and there due to the stress of having such a partner as mine.

“I don't do after school activities and I have band practice everyday so I'm not free. Your gonna have to do it by yourself.” Jeongguk started packing up but I stopped his swiftly.

“I can't work on it alone because I have a life too. I have swim practice after school then piano practice. And then I have to attend to my-” he put his hand up. “Yeah I don't care. Figure it out yourself.”

I was about to yell at him but the teacher did so before I could.

“I don't know what happened in your guy's past, but I need you to work together on this one project. Taehyungs grade will drop and Jeongguk will no longer be on school roll due to lack of attendance and good grades. If you guy's don't want the school to contact your parents, then I suggest you work together. No more complaints.”

I glanced at Jeongguk and saw his jaw clenched. If his parent's were called by the school, he'd have to move all the way back to America which ment he wouldn't be able to have his band anymore.

And if I failed a class, I'd be sent to a private school full of suffering and discipline.

I sighed and decided to be the bigger person. “I haven't changed my number, though I doubt you saved it from middle school.” He made a weird expression and mumbled something I couldn't hear. “What did you say?”

“I said I haven't deleted it! My number's the same as well so feel free to contact me but only for this stupid project.” and with that he left the classroom; face red and expression unreadable.
