Break the Chain

You and Jimin sat on the couch, staring that the T.V. Jimin has his arm around you with his attention to his phone while you lean against him, longing for more of his touch since it's been so long to you. You looked over at Jimin, snuggling your face into his neck.

"Did you really miss me that much?" He says with no emotion at all. You simply took off his glasses, but reveals his eyes still glued to his phone screen. It didn't make any sense to you on why he is acting this way when you're finally together.

"Jimin? Are you okay?" You asked him, "you know, if this is about what happened between me and the guys, we were just talking. They were just asking me questions and--"

"Just shut up." Jimin interrupted you and got up to the kitchen. You don't understand why he is so tense. Well, you know that he never wanted this whole thing do maybe he must be tired from clashing heads with Namjoon all day. He's probably still doing that through texting.

You were about to follow him to the bedroom until you received a call from Hoseok. Great. Even better. Even though no one was supposed to tell him about the conflict, someone still must've called him and told him.

"Hello?" You started.

"(Name)..... " Hoseok then paused which made you worry. You guess that he took his 'promise' more seriously than you thought.

"Hoseok, I know that it's bad however I can explain. I love Jimin and maybe he doesn't have a good excuse for the abuse but I--"

"That doesn't matter to me anymore. I just wanted to know if you're alright. That is the most important part that needs to be addressed." Hoseok spoke in a seriously tone. The background is awfully quiet; he must be in his hotel room.

"I'm alright. I'm with Jimin now, well I'm at our house." You told him.

"Is Namjoon around?" He asked.

"Uh, no. We just left the apartment with him, Jin and Yoongi. Hoseok, are you okay?" You answered with a question following.

"(Name), *sigh* There's something that I need to tell you." Hoseok now spoke in a tone like he's going to do something that he'll regret. Like a child coming out to his parents.

"What is it? Is there something wrong?" You wanted him to answer the question since it was beginning to freak you out that he's acting like this.

"You see, you remember back then when BTS first debuted? Well, it was around that time, actually is was like months after but, uh... " Hoseok stuttered, but even you can see that he's trying hard to talk, "Namjoon came to me and it looked like it was serious so I ask him what's wrong and he... "

"Namjoon? What did he want?? Hoseok, if you are going to tell me something, you're going to just have to spit it out!" You urged, "You know I hate the suspense."

"Namjoon came to me and we talked privately. He actually told me how...... Well.... I don't want this to break you (Name). Maybe I should just wait... " Hoseok insisted not willing to go on even though he now has you all hyped up for nothing.

"No! Hoseok, you are not going to do this to me! Tell me what you and Namjoon talked about or I will never forgive you!" You demanded right there on the spot, getting easily mad at him not going on, "Hoseok, please! Anything you say is useful to me! Don't do this to your sister!"

You hear him sigh again, knowing that he cannot turn you down at this point.

"He said that he was interested in you." Hoseok finally blurted. You immediately paused as you stood outside the bedroom door where Jimin is and put Hoseok on speaker for Jimin to hear if that was even possible.

"Namjoon liked me?? Even until this day?? Hoseok don't play games with me, you know how much you do that at the wrong times." You tried to get him to take back what he said, but you're afraid that he won't cause that was the truth.

"I'm sorry (Name)! I was surprised that myself, I didn't know until he told me and he was being straight up honest." Hoseok explained, "however that wasn't the part you should be shocked about. He first asked me if he could have your hand in a relationship and soon in the future in marriage."

"He was willing to take me that seriously?? I mean, come on. Are you even sure that it was Namjoon??" You tired to convince him that maybe it was a mistake. After all, when BTS debuted, it was a long time ago. So Hoseok probably got confused.

"I know Namjoon, even back then. Anyway, I told him that I wanted you to answer that and he got upset. He really wanted you all to himself, which is why he's so hard on you." Hoseok continued, "and after hours of talking over the phone after that, I just got sick and tired so I just told everyone about the promise."

"Sooo, you only did it to protect me?" You guessed, "from Namjoon I guess?"

"Well I don't know him as the violent guy, but I wanted you to find your own love so you could be happy. But.... "

"But what?"

"I had Namjoon tell the promise to everyone because.... I kinda ended up promised you to him.." Hoseok finished telling the truth, which shocked you. You stood there, speechless as what to even say back to him. You look to the bedroom door and noticed that Jimin was standing here, as shocked as you.

Eyes widened, jaw dropped to the floor in total silence. It all makes since. Namjoon has always been hard on you and just says that it's because you're like sister to him, but now this makes more sense.

"So Namjoon is trying to break us apart?" You summarized the whole thing.

"I guess so. I needed to tell you cause Namjoon wouldn't and he doesn't even know that I'm telling you." Hoseok reported, "Look, there is an awards ceremony in three days so I'm on the way right now and we would just--"

"That's great Hoseok! There's no need to talk it out, I want us to have the best time without any of this in the way." You cheered yourself back up, "I'm sure that we'll have this all straighten out before you know it."

"Oh Okay, and I'm sorry (Name). I should've told you the truth from the start." Hoseok regrettably apologized.

"No, that's okay Hoseok. I'll see you when you get here." You dismised the call and looked over to your fiance. Jimin had to same expression you had, but yours changed into a smile.

"Why are you smiling?" Jimin asked full with disgust.

"I have a plan." You grinned, "let's teach Namjoon who's really my daddy~." Jimin liked the lustful charm in your voice and kissed your lips with a smile. You had a plan to get Namjoon off your back for good, but you might need help this time.
