Wakeup Call

Bright pink skin paced the hospital room with a forefinger between her teeth, thinking out loud. "Where the fuck could he be?"
At this point, Mina wasn't just worried but angry with herself that she had lost her dear friend, and on his BIRTHDAY nonetheless. She threw her hands above her head, "Ugh we're such idiots!"

"He probably just went home! He's dumb but he's smart enough to not wander the streets at night alone." Denki exclaimed from the hospital bed.
During the nights events he had gotten a concussion, cut open his arm and dislocated shoulder, so he wouldn't be much help in the search for Kiri - he was too much of a princess to let the doctors pop it back in the socket because "It would really hurt!"

Mina rolled her eyes, "He was obliterated last night moron! No one could possibly get across the STREET in that state, let alone home! How could we not notice he just wandered off like that!" Tears welled up in her eyes, "what if something happened to him? What if he's been hurt, or worse?" She thought to herself, the tears spilling out now uncontrollable. Sinking to her knees she wailed, "WE'RE THE WORST FRIENDS IN THE WORLD!"

Kaminaris' face softened, he leaned over the hospital bed and put his hand on Minas head. "Everything will be okay, we will find him." he said softly.
Black and yellow eyes flickered up to him, puffy and tear ridden. "You think so?" she sniffled, wiping her nose on her sleeve.
"I do. Kiri isn't the brightest bulb but then again, neither am I. If you found me, I'm sure we can find him together." A small smile crept across her face, as Mina jumped to her feet and leapt into Kaminaris' lap throwing her arms around him. Ignoring Kaminaris cries of pain she whispered, "Thank you Denki, you know if you weren't with Jiro, I'd give you the biggest kiss right now! Even though I never actually lost you, I knew where you were the whole time. You just fell unconscious after you yelled at me." she giggled and hugged him again.
"Okay, weird! GET OFF ME. THIS HURTS!" Kaminari shouted pushing Mina off his lap with his good arm.

Dark red eyes passed by, glancing at the spectacle going on as he walked.
"Ugh," he thought, "disgusting." Shaking his head, he kept walking.

Back in the room, Mina and Kaminari were trying to come up with a plan.

"We're heroes now, how hard can this be?" Mina questioned, now sitting cross legged on the floor, flipping through the contacts on her phone. "Just don't tell Jiro," Kaminari pleaded. "she hates when I go out and drink, and now with all of this going on she'll definitely break up with me!" A sad look spread across Kaminaris face as he sunk in his bed.
"Okay, so if I can't tell Jiro then I can't tell Momo. Who do you think I could call for help? Who else do we know?" Mina raised a brow, sighing. " You're not going to be able to hide this forever, you dislocated your shoulder and you have a huge cut across your head. She's going to find out one way or another." Mina shrugged her shoulders, and kept on scrolling.

"I can't think of that or anyone right now. My brain hurts." Kaminari whined, squinting his eyes he looked out at the setting sun. Throwing a hand to his forehead he thought to himself, "Oh Jiro, what am I going to do? I can't lose you, I worked so hard! God, why am I such a dummy!" Shaking his head he looked over to see Minas' big black eyes staring at him.
"Oh Denki," Mina said with a grin. "you're not going to find anyway to hide this from her, and if you do I'll pay you $50!"
"You're definitely on because if she finds out about this, my life is over!" Kaminari said with furrowed brows, when a knock at his door brought him back to his senses.

"Hi there! I'll be the nurse taking care of you for the next few days, my name is Midnight  and these are my intern students, Shoto Todoroki and Izuku Midoriya - go on Todo, Midoriya, say hi!" The cheery nurse urged the stone faced boy, and nervous freckled boy forward.
"Hi, my name is Shoto and I'm gonna try not to kill yo-" "What he means to say! Is that he's very happy to be here learning about medicine and health! Izuku, why don't you say hi?" Midnight finished in a panicked voice.
"Uh yeah, what she said." Shoto murmured looking at his feet.
A flushed Izuku stepped forward with clenched fists, "Oh uh, hi there! I'm here to take care of you or uh, learn how to! So thanks for getting injured so I can learn!"

Kaminari stirred, and then burst out laughing with Mina following shortly thereafter. "Nice to meet ya, *ow*! Make sure you fix me up good okay? Wouldn't want my girl to know I've *ow* been here!" Kaminari chuckled.
Surprised, Midnight continued, "Splendid, Miss I'm going to have to ask you to leave now. We're going to do a brief physical and ask Mr. Kaminari some questions."
"Aaaw," Mina whined. "okay, I'll come back tomorrow okay Denki? Thanks Doc, take good care of him!" Mina smiled and ran out of the room, down the hall.

"Not the doctor!" Midnight called out after her, shaking her head as she stepped to the counter where the clipboard was.

"Okay Kaminari, we'll get started in just a moment! Hang tight," Midnight said with a smile as she turned to Shoto standing awkwardly in the corner. "okay Shoto, so this is basically a checklist of what you're to go over with a patient. We'll start with a physical. Izuku, you'll do this with our next patient, so watch carefully. Now Shoto, walk over to Kaminari and gently press down his body and ask him to indicate his pain level from 1 - 10. Simple enough, right? I'll stand back here and observe." Midnight handed Shoto the list and stepped back out of the way.

Shoto held the clipboard gingerly as he walked over the smiling Kaminari.
"Okay," he thought to himself. "Start from the top and work your way down. Easy enough." Shoto clenched his hand into a fist and bopped Kaminari on the head. "Does that hurt?" he said plainly.
"OW YES THAT HURTS!" Kaminari shouted, grabbing his head.
"NO, no Shoto not like that! Midnight squealed and ran over to the groaning Kaminari. "Looks like your going to need your pain medication sooner than usual, hey," Sighed the black haired nurse. "okay Todo, come over here and check the patient's neck. Gently, this time please?" She observed closely from the other side of the bed.

Todoroki trudged over to the other side of the hospital bed, glancing at the frightened green haired boy across the room. Gently he lifted his hand up to Kaminari's neck and pointed out his index finger; he moved slowly and hovered over his patients adams apple. Before Midnight could say anything, the intern jabbed hard making Kaminari cough and sputter. "Do you feel any pain here?" Todoroki asked innocently.

"SHOTO NO," the busty nurse shouted, tearing at her sleeve. "Midoriya, Shoto, get out NOW."
As purple mist filled the room and Kaminari drifted into sleep, Midnight shook her head and thought to herself, "What am I going to do with those boys."
