My stomach was growling at the sight of food being eaten in front of me, as he taunted me, I felt like I was 1 step closer to losing my mind; If I hadn't lost it already. The grim smirk he wore when everyone was eating and I was left to starve made me even sicker.
He left the room giggling, the loud clank of the metal door was haunting. No one really talked, they were probably too scared to in the fear of him coming back and punishing us. I had apparently gone through only a minor one so I dreaded what would happen when I went through a major one.
Everyone sat in their individual groups of 2 or 3, I sat with Ida and the other mysterious dark-skinned girl. She didn't really say much and Ida and I was the main cause of noise from our group. I had so many questions I wanted to ask, I was even wondering if that was a rule.
He would torture us like puppets and experiment on us as if we were his guinea pigs.
"How well do you know the layout of this place?" I asked Ida and the girl.
If they knew something, then I would need to gather as much information as I could; anything would be better than nothing.
"I don't know much, he usually knocks us out before he does stuff to us. It's easier for him to move us from room to room because we aren't fighting back. You were lucky, not many of us get to see the way to the surgery room." Ida explained.
I thought about the girl that they had told me about, I was questioning whether or not she knew the layout better than anyone else. She didn't even know me so the chances of getting her to snap would be slim.
"You can't escape, I've tried and this is what he did." Ida rolled up her sleeve, there were the words 'I will not leave my family again'. I could see that he tried his best to make the scratches as big and cover as much of her porcelain skin as possible, it would cause more damage and be more painful.
"Oh my god, I'm so sorry Ida." I hugged her, she smiled back, holding back her tears. He better not have done anything else disgusting to her, she is a fucking child.
We WILL get out of here, we can stretch out our escape throughout a couple of days, I don't even know how long it will take; probably not just a couple of days, but we WILL get out of here. I need to promise Ida that we can survive this sick fucko.
"Just promise me that you won't get in trouble, if we are trying to escape, then we can buy you some time." The dark skinned girl said.
"What the fuck! No!" I shouted a little bit too loud, it was loud enough to make the room silent. I went red from embarrassment.
Suddenly the door opened and a man emerged from the shadows, I could feel his grim smile through the back of my head.
"Rule number 1 baby girl." He whispered in my ear. His deep voice sent shivers down my spine, his wet tongue glided across my ear and I froze. My eyes stapled open and just sat there paralyzed.
He grabbed me by my hair and dragged me across the ground as if he was going to let go at my screams.
"Finish up my darlings, today is the game day!" He exclaimed excitedly.
I felt like we were going to rip my hair out, the crunch of my hair as he pulled me up the steps and down the hall. Tears streamed from my eyes, the pain causing a headache; one that would probably last for days if I would even survive for that long.
My eyes swelled up from the pain and my face looked like a hundred lemons had been squeezed into my eyes and mouth. The man's hair was swaying from the side, the curiosity of what was beneath his mask made this itch even more unbearable.
