David's P.O.V.
"It all started when I was 12 years old, I was outside playing with my sister. We were inseparable, she'd always follow where I went. Her name was Iris, she was so sweet and innocent.". I said while looking at the ground in guilt. "So what did you do?" Sierra asked me. I then looked up at her. "One day we were playing outside, our parents were at the neighbors and left me in charge. I ran inside real quick because I heard the phone, I told Iris to stay put and don't go anywhere. I went inside and picked up the phone". I was paranoid to say what happened next. "Get ready to watch the world you know, and everyone you love burn" Said the voice on the other line. "I then heard the most terrifying thing in my entire life, the scream of my little sister. I ran immediately to the front lawn, where I was just horrified at what I was witnessing. This strange lengthy man was murdering my little sister, he seemed to be using what looked like a cleaver. I was awestruck, tears ran down my face. Hard and painful tears that didn't stop. He just didn't stop stabbing, then a wave of blood splattered on my face and clothes. I was wishing this was all just a nightmare. As soon as my parents came out of the neighbor's door, the man disappeared. But he did leave one thing behind, his blood covered cleaver. My parents faces were so sad, I walked over to joking them, but as soon as I stepped they picked up Iris and back away". I then realized I was crying because Sierra had wiped away some tears. I then continued with the story "My parents hated me, calling me a murderer. I was then arrested, I couldn't believe I was being arrested for something I didn't do, especially murdering my little sister. It took a couple weeks, but I was eventually presented in front of a jury. The judge had listened to my case, he then ruled that I was mentally ill and to be put in an asylum. He said it was a correctional facility for the people with mental issues, but I knew what he really meant. I then spent the next twenty years in that place, no visits from family or friends. I was all alone in the world, none of the inmates were quite so friendly. I called them inmates because that building was just like a prison. And that's my story". I looked at Sierra, waiting for her to call me crazy or a monster, but she just sat there staring at me. She then hugged me and said "I know you're not crazy."
