I woke up in Andrews arms, the dream of last night still fresh in my mind. He looked down on my open eyes.
"Good morning sweet pea."
He kissed me lightly on the forehead, in a completely friendly way.
"How'd you sleep?"
I told him I slept well, leaving out the details of my nightmare. Andrew sat up, revealing his perfect body and smirked at me when he caught me staring. He stood up and pulled a shirt over his head, breaking my eye contact with his chest. I stood up and started changing too. I took off my shirt, this time I was the one being stared at. I smiled at the ground, not wanting him to see that I was happy. I asked if I could have a shirt (his were the most comfortable) and he threw me a plain white shirt. I threw it on, but you could still see through to my black lace bra. He gave me a pair of sweatpants and they fit me well for belonging to a six foot male. I went downstairs with him leading me to the kitchen. He decided to make eggs for breakfast, my favorite.
"Laney, I have something to tell you. Sit down."
I sat at his kitchen table and he continued to cook the eggs.
"Lane, I think you're absolutely amazing and I don't want you to go home to your dad."
"He will hit me even harder than he already does."
I was afraid that Andrew would go after him.
"Then never go back, stay here forever."
Andrew came over to where I was sitting and lifted me so I was standing. He kissed me gently, then intensified the kiss. He broke it soon though, telling me I didn't deserve that. He smiled at me, telling me I was perfect, and went back to making eggs. I slowly sat back down in my chair. I started thinking about it and came to one conclusion.
He's loved me all along.
