Aaaaaand Valentine's hath returned! I hope you're excited and that you'll like this part♥

-:-:-:-

You desperately breathe in the cold February air when you burst out the door, rushing over the frat house's front lawn and coming to a stop once you set foot on the pavement. Letting out a sigh, you relax your shoulders, though there's no sense of relief washing over you like you'd hoped. You're out of the house, but by far not out of your imagined troubles.

Panting slightly, you look one way and the other. You have no idea which way is the road back home and you know for certain that you don't want to ask any of the drunk people throwing up on the green grass, and so you pull out your phone. When you unlock the screen, though, you let out a groan and put your hand to your forehead – battery: 15%. There's no way you can use GPS to guide you home with that – you can barely do a five-minute walk with forty per cent, let alone get home with less than half of that.

Why did you have to tell him how you felt in the first place?

You sigh once more, shaking your head as you slip your phone back into your pocket, crossing your arms. Idiot. You've only known the guy for a few days, for fuck's sake, which is already pretty fast to be crushing on someone, let alone say it right to their face. A shiver runs down your spine when your mind flashes back to the moment and you scowl. What were you thinking? Were you even thinking at all?

"Y/N!"

You jump and spin around, heart skipping a beat when you can't quite make out who the voice belongs to at first. When you see who it is, though, you let out a relieved sigh and relax your shoulders, hands dropping down to your sides.

"I thought you were upstairs with Taehyung," Namjoon says, jogging the last few meters and coming to a stop in front of you, hands stuffed into the pockets of his coat.

"I was," you reply, letting out another breath. "But I left."

He chuckles. "Yeah, I kinda guessed that," he says. "Why, though? Are you okay?"

You're reluctant in answering, running a hand through your hair and averting your eyes as you try to muster up a good excuse. "Yeah, just tired," you finally reply, glancing at him to see if he believes it – and it seems your attempt was a success.

A small smile teases across Namjoon's lips and he nods slowly. "Want me to walk you back to campus?" he asks and, for a moment, you're taken aback at the fact that he doesn't even mention April or May, though it's something you're glad for – if you'd need to explain yourself to them, they'd most definitely push you right back to Taehyung, and you really just want to crawl back into your comfort zone right now.

So you nod, sending him a grateful smile.

"Right this way," he says, pointing to your right and starting to walk. You follow him, feeling yourself growing more relaxed with every step you take away from the house, glad for the fact that you won't have to face Taehyung for now.

You walk in silence for a few minutes. The way back seems quite easy and you feel like you might have remembered how to find the way if you'd tried, though you're also slightly tipsy. In any case, especially since everything around you is doused in darkness, you're glad Namjoon is here to guide you.

That is until he opens his mouth.

"So uhm..." he starts cautiously, glancing aside at you, then looking straight ahead. "April told me you were nervous about tonight."
