Jaylen's POV

I'm a coward.. why am I such a coward.. I don't know how to ask her .. what if she doesn't want to.. what if she thinks I'm a creep..

I'm laying here overthinking as usual, I don't mean to sound like a creep but I've been watching her sleep for a little while, I woke up not too long ago so when I did I seen we were facing each other. We got in the hotel last night and her brother disappeared for the rest of the night after he checked us in, I didn't question because this isn't my business and I wasn't supposed to even be here so who am I to question anything.

I snuck in the bathroom and called my parents again last night just to talk about what happened and to tell them that I'm not scared and I'm safe now... or at least I think I am .. I'm only here for one more day after all.

"Aye shake shack lemme talk to you for a second, I know yo ass ain't sleep cause you watching my sister sleep." He startled me but I still lifted my head and seen him standing in the doorway of the hotel bedroom.

"Yea I was watching her sleep, how long were you watching me?" I rolled of the bed carefully not to wake up K'hliah.

"Couple of hours." He said like it was normal but I rolled my eyes and tried to move past it as we walked into the hotel kitchen.

"Who are you, shit started going downhill when you got here." He pulled a gun out on me and I didn't flinch, I've been told to never show fear or hesitation when in time your supposed to be because it makes you vulnerable.

"My name is Jaylen King, and I'm sorry that things went downhill but I can assure you I'm not the cause of it." I hopped on the counter crossing my legs.

"You pulled out a stack of hundreds when K'hliah saved you, why?" He walked closer to me to intimidate me because he seen pulling the gun out didn't work.

"Because my family has wealth, I'm not supposed to be here right now my fli-." "Why aren't you ? Your the girl from the airport that couldn't catch a taxi?" "Well if you let me explain maybe I could." I looked at him to see if I could finish and he nodded at me for me to continue.

"Thank you, I got on the wrong flight bringing me here, I was originally going to Texas my college is out there and I leave tomorrow." He eyed me down, I guess he thought he was a lie detector the way he was looking at me.

"How I know you aren't lying?" "What reason do I have to lie to you?" "Every." The room when intensely silent it was like we were having a staring contest and I was winning because he looked away.

"Im not lying and I'd appreciate if you don't accuse me again, you don't know me but I will make it be known that I am a truthful person and I have no reason to lie to you or your sister." "Who said anything about K'hliah, are you telling on yourself?" I rolled my eyes and jumped down off the counter smacking the gun out my face and I must say it took a lot of courage.

"Have you found somewhere for you and your sister to go for those two weeks?" I walked into the living room and he followed behind.

"Why is that any of your business?" "Because I might have a way for y'all to get outta here without anyone noticing that's why." He shut up and nodded for me to continue. "My mom and dad have this agency, only used for emergencies and his happens to be and emergency, they have connections towards where you can live the country without anyone seeing you it's a way through the airlines." I spoke more in a whisper because I've never been in this type of situation how do I know that there isn't anybody listening through the hotel door.
