Browsing the web. The most interesting thing I can do with my time right about now. I can't sleep, so why not? I open up the browser on my laptop and.... Wait, what the hell am I gonna do on here? I realize that the only time I really use my laptop is to talk to people online. I've never really had to search anything before so I'm completely lost. I know none of my friends are probably up so I really have nothing to do. I sigh and close my laptop, pulling out my phone from the drawer in my desk and turning on the screen. I enter my password and randomly click apps until I find something interesting (I actually do this) and eventually stumble upon an old game I used to play but never got rid of for some reason or another. I open it and mess around with it for a few minutes then eventually get bored and turn off my phone. I spin around in my chair and right as I'm about to get up, I hear a faint knock on the door. I sigh, thinking that it must just be some kid playing games, and wait to see if there's another knock. A minute passes and there's another faint knock, and along with it, my name in a shaky voice. "Haru.... A-are you in there?"
The voice sounds oddly familiar so I get up and walk out of my bedroom to the door, hesitating slightly before turning the door handle and opening the door just a crack to see who it is. I look at the bruised, fragile girl standing outside my door in ripped, ragged clothing and gasp, opening the door fully and putting my hand over my mouth. I don't know who this girl is, but the first question that comes to mind is "what happened to you?"
