I walked to the front door with dad.
He opened the door, and there stood Austin and his dad.
"Oh hey Austin" I said smiling and giving him a hug.
"Hey Lilly" He said hugging back.
"You guys know each other?" Dad said.
"Yeah. From school" I said.
"Hi Lilly, i'm Nick, Austin's dad" Nick said.
"Hi Nick, nice to meet you" I said hugging him.
My mom walked over.
"Hi i'm Daisy, nice to meet you guys" She said smiling.
"I'm Austin and this is my dad Nick" Austin said smiling.
"Come on in guys" Mom said.
Everyone walked in and I went to the living room and sat on the couch with Brent.
Austin joined and we all chatted until dinner was done.
"Time to eat!" Mom yelled.
We all ran into the dining room and gathered around the table.
Mom made her famous chicken french and spaghetti. My favorite!
"So how is school Lilly?" Nick asked.
"Its really good" I said smiling.
"I'm so glad you helped Austin around at school yesterday" My mom said to me.
"It was my pleasure" I said smiling at Austin.
"Thanks, and by the way I still feel terrible for hitting you with that door" He said looking down.
"It's okay. Its all good now. See" I said pointing to my nose.
"Is that way your nose was swollen yesterday?" Mom asked.
"Yeah" I giggled.
I looked at Austin, who was smiling at my mother and I.
When he saw me, he winked then continued to eat.
I felt Brent grab my leg.
I looked at him, he smiled slightly. I smiled back.
After dinner we helped clean up. I changed into a pair of leggings and one of Brent's football sweatshirts.
"Do you guys wanna go get some ice cream or something?" I asked Brent and Austin.
"Sure"Brent said.
"Of course" Austin said winking and leading me to the door, by holding onto my waist.
Brent tensed up and balled his fists. But once he saw me looking at him he walked out the door.
Well that was weird.
