The Beginning of the End// Castle Cats

The time has come...

The Evil Pugomancer laughed cruelly. "We'll destroy them from the very heart of the guild! Minions, attack the guild, and leave no one alive..."

Mego stood next to the entrance to the guild. He whistled a merry tune as he held his hammer on his shoulders. His raised an eyebrow and opened his eyes as his ear caught the sound of something. "Huh?" he wondered and stepped out of the guild and looked over the hill. His heart jumped into his throat as he saw tigers, wolves, zombie dogs, everything, racing towards the guild. He gasped and whipped around and rushed back inside. "Conan! Conan, we're under attack!"

Conan cringed. He whined and looked around, fear threatening to overcome him. "Everyone! Battle stations!" he raised his sword into the air and growled in determination, fighting his worry. Cats gasped in surprise and hurried to grab their weapons. Purrcilla gripped her staff and got ready, casting a glance at Francis and her son. Leonard held his instrument close, preparing to swing it at anyone who came too close. Bunny whimpered and hid behind Julio, who held out an arm and protected her and Purrcis. Purrcis grumbled and stubbornly hissed, "Julio, let me fight!"

Julio rolled his eyes. "Not this fight, love. Another one," he promised.

Luna Sparkle sighed. She straightened up and held her head high. Lisa spread her wings and soared into the air. "They're coming!" she yelled. "Get ready!" Cluck Norris ripped his suit off and put his fists up.

Conan looked at Catniss and Francis. "We can do this," they smiled in determination. Conan silently shook his head just as the Evil Pugomancer's minions broke into the guild. Catniss gasped. "When did they get bows and arrows?!" she yelped in shock.

Francis ducked. "And swords?!" he screamed and ran off as a zombie dog swung its sword at him, barely missing the fluffy tom's head.

Bloom hissed and aimed. He shot and his arrow struck a wolf. The creature howled in pain before it charged at him and bit his bow in half. "My bow!" he cried and backed away as the furious wolf cornered him. Jadis stabbed it with her spear. She panted and screamed as the wolf slashed her just before it fell over and bled out. Jadis whimpered and fell to her knees. Bloom held her and helped her cover the wound.

Chroma snarled and kicked a wooden golem in the face. "You piece of sh-" he was interrupted as an armored tiger leapt up and sank it's teeth into his leg. He yelped and grunted in pain. The big cat slung him away and he slammed into the guild walls. Nicole gasped and screamed, "Chroma!" She growled and raised up her staff. "I'm gonna kill you!" she shouted and blasted her magic at the beasts.

Sabrina grunted as a golem pushed her down with its giant hands. She stared up at it with fear in her eyes. The wooden beast pulled back its fist and Sabrina prepared for the worst. She closed her eyes, but the blow never came. Confused, she opened an eye to see no one other than Hilda in front of her. "H-Hilda?" the black cat stuttered.

Hilda turned to her and smiled. "Hello Sabrina," she purred. Sabrina blushed and smiled back. Hilda screamed as the golem got back up and slammed her down. Sabrina gasped and snarled. She grabbed her broom and hit the golem, yet it didn't do very much. Her little friend hissed and leapt onto the creature's face and started to claw it to shreds.

Sabrina helped Hilda up. "You okay?" she asked in concern.

Hilda smiled at her. "Thank you," she purred.

Halley cursed under her breath as she used some magic, and crystal covered her even more. She looked to her arm, which crystal was spreading over, then out of the corner of her eye, she saw Anna, yet Anna didn't see the tiger coming up behind her. Halley gasped. "Anna! Look out!" Anna turned around, but it was too late. The tiger swung down and smashed her arm. She screamed in pain and collapsed to the ground as her arm shattered into a million pieces. Halley gasped in horror. She rushed over and picked Anna up. Her arm was completely gone, it was just little pieces of glass now. She held the doll close and ran away in fear of losing her more.

Bob screamed and grabbed Curio's hand. Curio smiled. "Bob! Let's fight!"

"Can't we just please run away?!" he whimpered and kept running.

Curio pulled her hand free and stood her ground. "No! I wanna fight like my brother! I don't want to be just a kitten! I wanna be a knight like-"

"-CONAN!" Bob screeched.

"Yeah! Exactly!" Curio smiled. She then turned as she heard something. She gasped and screamed as a wolf leapt at her, its claws out and its teeth bared. Conan whipped around as he heard his name. His heart sank as he saw a wolf leaping at his little sister. He growled and rushed towards her. He jumped in front of her and impaled the wolf in the throat with his sword. Curio screamed and held onto him. "Conan!" she whimpered.

Conan grunted. "Go hide you two! Now!" he shouted and slashed at another enemy. The two kittens bolted away and hid behind a bush, watching the battle.

Newt ran and jumped into the air, his wings spread apart and he took flight. Bob watched him in amazement and slight jealousy. Then he flinched as Newt was hit. The flying cat fell down and laid on the ground, drifting in and out of consciousness as he hit his head harshly. Before blackness almost overcame his vision, he saw wings. "Dragon!" he screamed.
