My Annoying Boyfriend

chapter 1

I shifted as something cold touched my face I looked up and saw my elder sister, mercy smiling evilly at me ready to pour another cup of water on me.

Her smile disappeared when she realized that I had woken up she quickly left the room as she muttered something about how I always ruin
her fun, at least that's what I thought I heard because most of what she was saying was incomprehensible

I quickly had my bath wasting no time in there because I was already late and I already know that my mum is going to kill me.

I wore the ugly school uniform which  was a white shirt, and a green striped shirt which was so ugly and disgusting that you can literally die by looking at it okay maybe I exaggerated a bit but that's how ugly it is. The only good thing about the uniform is that the skirt is short and hugs my curves .

I went downstairs to the kitchen and immediately my mom set her eyes on me she started shouting at me and went all crazy Gonzooooo on me like i predicted.
               
" Ifeoma why would you wake        up late on the first day of school why must u be different
why must your case always be different ? Have you ever seen me shouting at your elder sister like this? "blah blah blah i sorta tuned her out like I always do when she starts talking trash.

I just hate it when my mom compares me with Mercy its obvious she's her favourite child ,and all but does she really have to make it obvious that I am her least favourite child I think she hates me so much because I look like my dad who cheated on her continuously until she decided that they needed to get a divorce.

 I didn't notice that she stopped cooking and had moved to where
I was standing  and then she slapped me very hard and I looked up at her and of course it was still the same hard glare she held in her eyes not the warm smiling eyes she uses to look at mercy or my younger brother Ebuka she was about to slap me again but she stopped and decided against it "Get out of here and call your sister Mercy be fast before I change my mind, Idiot!".

As I went  up the stairs I felt like crying I had already decided that I wouldn't allow all this shitty stuff get to me so I sucked it all up and put a fake smile on my face.

I went to my sister's room and I saw that she was on the phone and she was blushing because of that I already knew that it was her boyfriend Kennechukwu I wasted no time in getting out of there not that I was jealous but it's so disgusting Seeing her act like a child and may be I am a bit jealous.

Sometimes I get a little jealous of my sister because she has almost everything she's a straight A student ,she sings, she is a very talented dancer then top it off with her smoking hot boyfriend.

Like seriously who doesn't want "a smoking hot boyfriend".

My mother came upstairs holding a cane I wonder where she got that because Ebuka and Mercy had thrown all the cane in the house away ,but again I am not surprised because she would have gone to buy another one I snapped out of my thoughts when my sister hit me while  running past me I started running too but Ebuka was not so  lucky because my mom flogged his back and he started crying immediately I and my sister started laughing as we entered the car cause like we don't even have the guts to laugh in the presence of my mother then she suddenly stopped and she started  looking at me with a kind of look I couldn't decipher I asked her what was wrong and she told me that she wanted me to meet her boyfriend on Saturday I really did not want to go but I gave in after much persistence .

Mum and a crying ebuka came into the car and we drove to school in utmost silence we arrived at the school which was a  primary school and a secondary school my sister and I had told Mom that we wanted to change school but she was having none of it according to her the stress was to much  exactly in her words I quote"you children cannot change school because  a beautiful woman like me cannot be driving to two different schools everyday ". And that was the end of it Mercy and I did not bother anymore because we know who our mother is .                                  

I  just went to the class since it was a hopeless cause to go to the assembly since i was already too late ,about 10 mins later students started trooping in I was Sha hearing comments like she's fine ohh and then one jealous girl came and her friend whispered to her see this fine new girl and she was like woh abeg leave that one she's fine but she's not that fine I just laughed and looked out of the window.

The class teacher came and he called the register I was already happy that he did not ask me to introduce myself but my happiness was shortlived as he called me to introduce myself I just went there and said rubbish then I made a stupid mistake I added a lame comment about not liking bullying as I walked to my seat I was already feeling stupid .

Immediately the class teacher left the class two girls walked up to my seat and they introduced themselves themselves one of the girl was funmilayo while the other was Natalie and we actually hit it off immediately we  talked about different things from television series like how I met your mother to E! entertainment  series like keeping up with the Kardashians then boys and we even ended up talking about Natalie's numerous boyfriend's before the teacher finally came to the class after the short break.
