Prologue
The night was very cold and dark. The rain was pouring continuously. That’s when I saw her, standing at one side; she looks like she’s lost. The street was busy and every people who passed by her didn’t bother to stop to help her. So I did what I think what’s the right thing to do. I walk towards her, took off my jacket and place it on her shoulders.
“Are you lost? Do you need help?” I asked.
She looked at me. She’s so beautiful yet she looked so fragile.
She moved towards me, closing the distance between us.
Then she did something unexpected. She kissed me. She kissed me on the lips.
I could feel her hands run through my hair, she then held me closer, deepening the kiss…
I don’t know what happened to me but I kissed her back, wanting more.
She suddenly pulled away, looked at me and gave me her sweetest smile…
I don’t know why, but my heart was beating irregularly. And I know that, that very moment, I fell in love…
I stay frozen in my place, unable to speak. I open my mouth, but no words came out.
She turned away and started to run.
“Wait!” I shouted, still can’t move.
As I can’t saw her anymore, that’s when I started to move. I run towards the direction where she had run. I stop as I scan the crowd, but I can’t see her anymore.
Damn! Now I lost her. Stupid Francis! I whispered to myself.
This is how I fell in love with a stranger.
