Flashback pt2

All I feel is pain,

Please stop!

I awoke to nothing but pain,panic and tears. Ms.furrow was above me,she looked concerned. She held me in silence, rocking me. This felt nice,she was warm and I could hear her heart.

I had been a few months since the furrow household had adopted me and I was completely shocked. Unlike the orphanage,it was warm and kind. Ms.furrow or Mom as I called her now, said she chose me because I reminded her of a good friend she had, who disappeared suddenly without explanation.

"I'm sorry" I mumbled into her shirt. I wish for nothing but the feeling of being loved. A coward,useless to anybody, scared of my own shadow. She hushed me,brushing her fingers through my hair,comforting me. A knock echoed from the half open door as Mr.furrow popped his head in.

He smiled and said "hey kiddo,how you doin'" thus making his wife glare at him. I looked up to him and smiled a little. That's when Sean stepped in as well.

"Come on,will be late for school" he groaned,I pouted he was lucky since he was an ninth grader unlike I who was in sixth. Hugging Ms.Furrow once more before standing and grabbing some clothes,then heading to the bathroom.

Sean and I started walking to shcool, it's the first day since I was adopted. I was nervous,wringing my hands together and snuggled into my jacked to fight the cold.

"Hey,it'll be fine" Sean said ruffling my hair making me huff. I just fixed that, even though it would probably be that way by the end of the day. I swatted at his hand and laughed,only to start sputtering as I get shoved by another guy on a skateboard.

"Oi, watch it!!!" Sean yelled, I recognized the guy he was one of the popular jocks. Oh dear lord give me mercy, I paled considerably.

"No,no it's ok Sean, no harm was done" I said with my quiet voice, I smiled happy that he would stand up for me. I never had a brother figure before.The guy raised his eyebrows,snorted and was in his own merry way again. Sean looked angry,but shook his head.

"You should h--" the sound of a car horn interrupted him. Turning around to see a convertible with two guys in front and one in the back.

"Heeey,Sean hop inside!!" Said the guy with a football sweater on,who sat in the passenger seat.

"Is that your new bro??come on will take him to his school" the driver yelled,isn't it a little too cold for the hood to be down?? I looked over at Sean who smirked and started towards the car.

I followed and ended up in the middle of Sean and the other guy with my backpack clutched to my chest to fight the cold. I looked around and eventually looking at the other guy- Ryan- who smirked at at me. I noticed that he had a lip ring making my eyes widen.

"Hey cutie~~" He purred deepening his voice,I have never in my life been called cute or have been flirted with. I could feel my face heat up, I pushed myself into Sean who chuckled.

"I-I-um-" I stuttered,making him chuckle even more and the other two- Jay and Ben, Jay being Ryan's Brother- snicker. Sean smacked Ryan on the back of the head. Ryan had this aura,something about him made me wary. I was lost in my own thoughts when I felt the car stop.

"Heres ur' stop kid!" Jay slurred,his accent was very notable. I blushed when I realized I would have to crawl over Ryan's lap to get out. Biting my lip I put my bag on and skittered across his lap and out of the car.

"Bye Zack,have a good day!!" Sean yelled, I waved back with a closed eyed smile. This has been the best few months of my life.

~~~~~~~~A couple years later~~~~~~~~~

He's alive!!!

.....fire.......2 adults dead......2 survived.....

It was all I could hear as I was wheeled off in a hospital bed into a ambulance....

"You're going to be ok Zack"

...Sean..

"No,please don't cry"

All my fault

"No-"

I'm a curse

"Zack,no more talking ok,sweety"

...Stranger...

.....I'm scared... 

......Beep....BeEp....Beep..

The blackness surrounded me pulling me into a deep sleep.

A bright light blinded me as my vision cleared. I was in a hospital,I hate hospitals. I looked to my right to see Sean,thank goodness, right next to him was Jay,Ryan and Ben. Ryan became Sean's boyfriend a year ago so him and his brother became family.

"Se--" A coughing fit interrupted me,startling them. They all looked a lot me with relief. My eyes watered, again I felt empty, I was cursed that's why no one adopted me. Death follows my footsteps,so does the dead, No one knew my secret

"Hey,it's okay" Sean hugged me,thou I was in pain,it felt like I could power through it just because of Sean. I try my best to hug back,but my arms wouldn't move.

"W-what caused the fire?" I was finally able to choke out after Ryan handed me a cup of water. I remember getting home and mom was watching Tv, while dad was talking to someone on the phone. I went to my room after greeting them, then feeling scared, so scared, oh god there was something at my window. It wasn't human I've seen many ghosts but this wasn't one. It smiled at me and scratch at the glass hissing out words that sent chills down my spine.
