You quickly put down the wooden guitar on your bed. Opening the door, you looked both ways, checking for any signs of life. After not finding any, you slid open your window. Your window was about 5 or 6 feet above the ground. You could've easily jumped down if you weren't so weak right now. You dug around in your closet, coming up with a white bedsheet. You tied it to the steel bed frame, dumping the rest outside of the window. You wrapped a section of it around your hand and gripped it tightly before starting your descent. You did this twice before you could safely jump off.
The second your feet hit the ground, a surge of pain rushed from your heels to your thighs, causing you to collapse. It didn't take long for you to recover though, quickly yanking your jacket off and throwing it on the barb wire atop the tall wall. You pulled yourself up, carefully hoisting one leg after the other as to not shift the leather jacket. After landing in a bush and emerging with a couple of scrapes, and a torn up jacket, you looked towards the sky. Mumbling curse words under your breath, you realized that the only way to even spot the ship was by climbing the water tower. Immediately you felt dread coil in your stomach. You wanted to throw yourself onto the floor and give up, but the sun was setting and you didn't want to be caught up in the dark. So begrudgingly, your feet moved. Slowly, as if your entire body was made of lead, you reached the tower.

You sighed harshly, slapping a hand on one of the cold rungs. You didn't mind the sting, as you continued to violently ascend. The metal clunk rang into the silent night as you walked around the hub. Searching for a sign of a boat. Then you saw it, a steady stream of smoke coming from a direction you never really bothered to search as it was only thick forest. You swallowed, letting your bitter spit slide down your dry throat. You should've eaten something before leaving.
God, it'd be so easy to jump.
You shook the thought out of your head and quickly clambered down.
'This is stupid. This is stupid. I'm fucking stupid. Why am I fucking doing this?' Ran constantly through your head as clutched onto the only weapon you had. A puny pistol.
A snap echoed, you froze. Quickly realizing it hadn't come from you, you sprinted. Fight or flight was not your friend, as you ran smack dab into a body. The person shoved you against a tree, holding you by the collar. It was like your body was a rag doll.
Your frightened eyes met with familiar, blue ones. Her crystal eyes softened to calm water.
"(Y/n)?"
You choked up, kicking Minerva's torso to get free.
"Back up!" You whispered, pointing your gun directly at her. "I'm-I'm gonna go. I'm gonna leave. And you're not going to follow me."
"It's- it's been so long," Minerva spoke, her voice shaky.
"Don't," you hissed. "Clementine told me everything, so don't."
Minerva sighed, "Fine. Have it your way."
She raised her crossbow, cocking it. You took a shot, trying to scare her away, but it only seemed to encourage her.
"You won't- you can't shoot me," she taunted.
"Please... I don't want to hurt you, Min."
She raised her arms in mock surrender.
Then, you felt it. A sharp sting coming from your abdomen. Looking down, you saw a long blade poking out. What hurt more was it being retracted from your being. You dropped to your knees, finding it hard to stand. The gun in your hand was kicked away, leaving you defenseless. Your stare, still on your injury, was pulled away by a gloved hand. Minerva pushed hair away from your face, softly, almost like she cared. The last thing you saw was the end of her crossbow, as it made a sickening crack, coming in contact with your forehead.

"I'd like to see you try!" You teased, skipping down the hallway. "It's gonna happen, y'know! I'll getcha eventually!" Louis said through labored breaths.
You slowed down to a waltz, letting your best friend catch up.
