The headlights of the Range Rover illuminated the road that seemed to go on forever along with the trees flanking it on either sides. The frustrated Alpha cursed at nothing in particular, his eyes fixed on the wet road. He turned around and growled at his Third in command who was bent over looking inside the hood of the vehicle, "Argo, you gonna fix it any time soon?" Argo looked up, his apprehension resulted in him sweating bullets that it looked like he was in rain for hours. He couldn't hide his uneasiness as he mumbled, "Sorry Alpha, I can't find the problem. I think we need a mechanic to look at this."
"And how do you think you will call one, there's no fucking network here in the middle of nowhere?" Sebastian could keep neither his frustration nor his blinding anger in check. He was going out of his mind, his wolf driving him insane. He had no idea that mate bond could literally drive one over the edge like this. All this was because of his stubborn mate who decided to block him out for more than a week now. He was sure that the little devil was doing this on purpose.
"Fuck this... I am just going to run back to the pack. I will get Reid send someone for you and the vehicle." He stated as he placed his cell phone and wallet inside the Rover.
"But it will take you more than three hours to reach there from here." Argo pointed out.
"And do you have a better suggestion ?" Sebastian roared.
"No" Argo could not help the tremor in his voice.
"Thought so," Sebastian muttered as he moved towards the trees. He transformed into a wolf-man state. He couldn't transform completely into his wolf form because of the curse. But his half transformed state is as dangerous and deadly if not more as his wolf.

As he bolted through the woods away from the headlights, he couldn't help but get immersed in his thoughts. All these craziness started just about two weeks ago...or should he say four years ago.

Yes four years ago. A chance encounter, a friendly banter and a weird promise under the full moon... that's where all of these started.

Sebastian still remembered the night. It was The Annual Meet of all Alphas and High Pack Law Officials. He usually avoided those events like plague. But he had to attend that one because one of his close friends Alpha Kenneth Fischer coaxed him out by presenting it as a perfect opportunity to discuss some of his boundary issues with the concerned Alpha Mark Stanton, who seemed to avoid all his invites to discuss the issue.

The event was held at open grounds in neutral lands near the woods. The place were littered by groups of men and women probably mates or dates, who were busy socialising while the younger ones created ruckus playing around unattended. There was food and soft music giving airs of a sofisticated get together. However Sebastian regretted it the moment he entered the event grounds. He could feel the eyes of every single person around on him. Cautious and curious eyes almost made him feel like an intruder.

Sebastian Wilder was well known as the cold and vicious 'Monster Alpha'. The monster part however was not just due to fact that he was a half transformed beast at the battles, it was also because of the fact that half of his face was seriously disfigured. Even though his hair did cover a part of it, the mangled looking side was still visible. He found no need to hide it. It was not like he had to impress anyone. Yes his face did become distorted during a battle but not because he was mauled. He was cursed during the attack at a witch coven. The old man cursed him just as he drew his final breath. Sebastian was devastated then, he had been young and unmated. But now at the age of twenty-five, he didn't care at all. But he still didn't like the fact that people had nothing better to do than stare at him like some exhibit.

He scanned around easily catching the eyes of the culprit of his current plight, Kenneth as made his way over to his friend.
"Man, you know how to steal the spot light. You just made my entrance look like child's play even with all my effort." Kenneth let out a boisterous laugh. Unlike Sebastian, Kenneth aside of being really dashing was loud and easy going, making him a ladies man. He was like the only one among the fellow Alphas who got along with Sebastian's grumpy self.
"Yeah for all the wrong reasons." Sebastian muttered.
"Hey, you can't blame people for being curious about the famous 'Monster Alpha'. That is why you need to frequent such events more often." Kenneth tried to sound really convincing. However Sebastian remained expressionless as he replied sarcastically, "Thank you, but I would just outright decline that offer. Now did you see Alpha Mark around ?"
"As usual you are no fun." Kenneth pouted as he turned and walked towards a group of Alphas,"Come on..I think I saw him over there."
