Hi, i'm betty and i'm new to riverdale.. well almost. I moved away from riverdale at a young age, about 10 years old! I'm moving back from New York, yes i will miss my old friends but i miss my friends i had in riverdale!
I sat down on my bed after i finished unpacking, my room wasn't as sparkly pink anymore. i had a grey bed set and above my bed was pictures taken from a polaroid camera of me and my friends from New York, even some from when i lived in riverdale. those pictures always made me smile. I didnt wear, pretty pink shirts anymore and i never wore my hair in a ponytail anymore. I wore what was trendy, basic. I liked it though, I changed a lot over these 6 years. i'm a teenager now and my mom still won't except it.
Me and my mom moved back to riverdale because, when my step dad died in New York, we couldn't make it there anymore. All the houses costed to much. So we came back to Rierdale. I got up and walked into my closet as boxes basically covered my closet floor. i sighed and got my pajamas on. it was my first day of school tomorrow, and i needed my sleep. i walked downstairs and saw my mom sitting down at the table with some warmed up milk in her hands "i'm gonna go to bed now mom" i smiled and she nodded.
I walked back up to my room and flopped down onto my bed. No one knew i was coming back, so i was gonna surprise them.
I woke up that next morning with a smile, i hurried up and got dressed. I really couldn't wait to see them again. Last time i remember seeing Archie was when his hair was a orange color, i hoped it still was. He and Jughead were waving to me, Jughead, Last time i saw him he had braces and zits. puberty hit him pretty bad as he was 11 at the time. I finished my breakfast and walked downstairs. I walked to school... more like ran to school. I was so excited!
I walked into the school and walked past all the students who stared. I saw one person that i knew and that was Veronica Lodge, so i was walking over to her.
"Betty!" she almost yelled as we both did our small giggled and hugged each other so tightly i could barely breath. "i missed you so much" Veronica shouted. That drew almost everyone's attention to them, but I didn't care. We just kept hugging. Everyone looked away from them except a certain someone, Archie Andrews. He walked up to us and looked at me a little confused "Betty Cooper?" he asked. I pulled away from the hug that Veronica had trapped me in and looked at Archie and i nodded, i didn't hesitate to run over to him and hug him tight. He hugged back quickly and we stayed that way until Veronica interrupted us, "Uhm, sorry to break it to you guys... but everyone's staring" she giggled. I looked over to her and glared but giggled as i looked at everyone else and pulled away.
"sorry, i'm just so happy!" she smiled, and Archie nodded "you guys all wanna meet at pops tomorrow? i can make jughead come!" Archie smiled. "speaking of jughead, where is that beanie lover?" Veronica chuckled "Beanie lover?" I looked at her with a chuckle, "Over there" Archie pointed, at a tall, handsome boy that was wearing a beanie in the shape of a crown. i lightly bit my lip and looked at Archie "that's jughead...?" i asked and looked back at him.
archie nodded silently and so did veronica "you like him?" Veronica giggled
i nudged her shoulder "what.. no" i said and looked back at him "i should go talk to him.." i said and walked over to him.
He looked at me, he didn't recognize me though. He was wearing headphones and he put them around his neck to talk, "uhm.. hi?" he said nervously as he looked at me. I could tell he was blushing, was it that i'm the only girl to actually talk to him or something else. whatever. that didn't matter right now. "hey.. Jughead it's me betty... from 5th grade.. remember?" i said, and that's when he recognized me "betty!" he smiled and wanted to hug me, but he felt awkward if he did. So i hugged him "ooh, Wednesday adams found a girlfriend!" Shouted Reggie Mantle as he walked down the hallway, i pulled away and looked at Reggie "So you're jealous" she yelled to reggie. Reggie turned around and looked at her "Why would i be jealous of him?" he chuckled his asshole chuckle. I started to dig my nails into my skin, a habit i started it New York. "because he can actually get a girl, unlike an asshole who is you" she said and looked back at Jughead. Jughead chuckled as Reggie rolled his eyes and walked off. he noticed my fists were clenched and took my hands in his hands and i looked at him like i had just fallen in love. he looked at me and opened up my palms "betty.." he said as he saw the moon shaped scars on my palms. "jug i- Wanna meet at pops tomorrow?" i said changing the subject "maybe get to know each other better? i can tell Archie, and veronica that we can talk after school" i smiled at him, and he blushed slightly "yes, of course. i would absolutely love that" he said giving me a cheeky smile. The bell rang and i walked too my first class where Jughead Jones happened to be in, and sitting next to me. I looked at the teacher the whole time, but i could see jughead staring at me from
time to time, in a cute innocent way.
