(Betty's POV!)
after class me and jughead walked around the school as he showed me around. he told me he was supposed to show me around before class but that didn't matter, "that gives us a reason to skip next class" I chuckle and look over to him to see him looking at me with a chuckle. "You've changed a lot" he smiled at me "and so have you" i giggled, i grabbed his hand and kept walking around the school.
after the tour it was lunch. and of course i sat with Veronica, Archie, and the one and only Jughead.
There was also some kid named Kevin, i remember him.. kinda. we weren't much of friends when i was here before.
But he was super nice, and oh god was he funny. That's when Veronica looked at me and whispered "you know he's gay?", i looked at her "i could tell" i whispered back and giggled. I noticed Jughead looked a little curious about what was going on.
"Anyways, i'm Kevin, and we are now friends" Kevin said to me as he looked at me "of course" i giggled and smiled as i took a bite of my apple. I looked to Jughead who seemed to be bored since no one was really talking to him, i looked over to him and smiled "so jug, how's jellybean?" i asked, last time i saw him he was always with her.
All of their eyes widened and i looked at them "what.." i said starting to get worried as jughead looked down at his lap "wow ok, how about your mom? how are you and her doing?" i smiled and looked at them as they kept staring "ok, what?!" i said loudly in a confused tone.
That's when Kevin looked at me and Archie whispered to me what happened, i looked at Jughead who was now just staring at his hands that rested in his lap, i looked down "i'm so.. sorry" i sighed and looked up at him.
"oh i.. i uh have music practice.. gotta go" Archie said and walked off, "And i have... homework" Veronica nodded and walked off "yeah same" Kevin also said and walked off.
i looked confused but brushed it off as i looked at Jughead, i moved to where i was sitting by him. I looked at him and cupped his face in my hands and turned his face towards mine to where we were looking at each other.
"look, jughead, i'm sorry. but they don't know what they're missing now" i giggled and looked how he was blushing and now smiling "you are the best" he just nodded and smiled as he looked deep into my eyes.
I also got lost in his eyes for a second but snapped back to reality, i moved my hands off his face and stood up as everyone else outside did. meaning it was time for lunch to be over "i'll see you at pops, after school" he smiled and i walked off smiling to myself.
(After school!)
i started to walk outside to meet jughead outside the school. i saw him leaning against the wall, than reggie mantle come up to him. They both weren't seeing me. I ran out and walked over to them quickly, reggie not seeing me. i pulled reggie away from Jughead "you leave him the hell alone, you hear me?!" i yelled as i stared to dig my nails into my skin again. Jughead noticed and grabbed my hand "betty.." he whispered, i looked over to him but reggie's eyes stayed locked with mine.
I looked back to reggie and glared at him "oh yeah? what are you gonna do about it?" reggie hissed, "trust me, you don't wanna find out" i threatened and took jugheads hand and quickly started walking to pops leaving reggie right where he was standing just staring at us.
we finally made it to pops and Jughead just looked back at me "you know you didn't have to do that-" he said but i cut him off "i know, but i just can't stand there and watch him- what was he saying?" i asked and looked at him, he looked away from me and just stared at the windows "nothing, it's not important" he sighed.
i took his hands in mine "yes it is" i said and he blushed and looked at me "he was saying how, no one loved me. and that if anyone did.. they would leave just like how my mother... and jelly bean left me" he looked at me. i moved to where i was sitting next to him "hey, so much people love you. and guess what, i love you" she said, and she meant it as a friend but to her it meant a little more and she didn't know why.
"and i would never, ever leave you. and i won't, and neither will Veronica, Or archie, or even Kevin" i giggled and he blushed as he looked at me and listened to what i had to say next
"and if this keeps up, i'll keep my promise he will regret it.." i said in a mad tone.
i than realized what i had just said and dropped my hands from his cheeks "sorry.. i wasn't mad at you.. just mad at the thought of reggie" i said.
Jughead looked at me "it's ok betty" he smiled. "hey wanna go to my place and learn more about how we are now?" he smiled a sweet innocent smile.
we arrived at his trailer and i looked around than looked at him "you live here alone?" i giggled and he took his beanie off and looked at me. "well yeah" he chuckled nervously. "i like it.." i said and giggled at his messy hair. "you look better without that beanie on" i smiled and he blushed "wow, thanks" he said sarcastically and chuckled. he sat down on the couch and i sat along next to him. we talked nonstop about our families and what we were now.
