Ashton POV

Zara. Zara Feliciano. How can I even begin to describe her? The name Zara means Light, or Princess. To me, my Zara is both. She is the absolute light of my life and I would treat her nothing less than a princess. The sun doesn't begin my day, Zara does.

For Zara and I, mornings are the best part of the day. No matter what day of the week. Today, I'm first awake. It's Thursday the 19th of April. The sun is streaming through the white shutters. Zara's bare back is facing me and her long autumn bronze hair is splayed across the white sheets. I snuggle up behind her and place my hand across her small flat stomach. I hear her stir.

"Good morning princess" - I say,

"Morning Ash" - her sweet voice is harmony to my ears, I hold her close to my bare chest, and place a kiss beneath her jawline, I take in her familiar scent, vanilla and the iris flower.

"Zara, promise me something?"

"What do I need to promise you, Ash?"

"Promise me, that for as long as the earth is spinning, the clouds are moving, the tide is changing, and the leaves are turning bronze in autumn, that you will always love yourself as much as I love you." I tell her.

"I promise Ashton. But for my earth to be spinning, you need to be on it."

With that, I pull her closer and squeeze her tighter. I prop myself up on my elbow and lean over her body so I can see her beautiful face. Blue shimmering eyes, thin pink lips, and dark eyebrows. She blinks slowly, and this makes me notice how long her lashes are. I take in her beauty for a second or two, but unable to hold it in, I lock my lips in between hers.

Holding her close to me and kissing her is the best part of my morning.

After snuggling for a while, we slide out of bed and head to the kitchen. Zara takes a seat at the counter, and I grab her usual breakfast. Orange juice, banana and yoghurt on cornflakes, and avocado toast. She smiles as I slide it over to her,

"Thanks Ashy" I grab my own breakfast and sit next to her at the counter.

"So, my princess. What's up this morning?" Every morning, I ask this question. And everything's usually okay with Zara.

"Well, I have a splitting headache, and I feel nauseous, but I'm catching up with the girls later so I'll be okay"

"Sure you're alright?" I question with concern,

"Yes baby, I am! I'll take some aspirin and be fine." She smiles.

We continue with usual discussion, work, friends, the happenings in the world, and how much we love each other. But I can't help worrying that Zara isn't okay.
