My Little Turquoise

Chapter 3: Thank You

Steven hurries home to alert the gems of the news. They hurry down to Funland, hoping they are not too late. Steven stops at the entrance.

"Ok let's split up, we have better chances of finding her if we all split up and look in different areas, Garnet you check the rides."

Garnet nods her head and starts off in that direction.

"Amethyst you search the game stands."

"Whatever you say, dude." Sh starts heading to the game stands.

"And Pearl you're going to watch the entrance, we want to make sure she doesn't leave."

"Got it."

" I'll walk around to check the back parts of the park."

After about a half an hour of searching, they couldn't find any clues to the gems whereabouts. Steven was starting to think she wasn't there until he heard the sound of quiet crying coming from the dark alley in the park. He slowly approached the alley, being careful not to startle whatever was hiding there.

*Meanwhile*

Tears streaming down my face, my hands over my face. (What am I going to do? My leg and gem are cracked and I'm all alone. I don't know what to do.)  Suddenly a small figure approaches me. A small teen, wearing a red shirt with a yellow star on it, blue shorts and red flip-flops. He walks slowly towards me.

"It's ok, don't be scared, I'm not going to hurt you."

"My names Steven, what's yours?"

I wipe my face with the back of my hand "Turquoise."

Steven notices my leg and gem, " Oh no your gems cracked! We need to get you back to the temple right away."

I give him a slightly confused and nervous look " We? You're not here alone?"

Steven replies "No, I came here with my friends, they will be able to help you too."

I look at him slightly suspiciously but eventually agree to come with him.

Steven reaches his hand out to me " Here let me help you up."

I take his hand and he helps me out of the alley. He puts his arm around my shoulder to help support my weight. We make it to the entrance when I see a tall gem, a short gem and another tall gem with big pinkish hair. I start to feel scared and anxious. Steven seems to have sensed my uncomfortableness as well when he told me to wait here while he goes to talk to the gems.

"Pearl! Amethyst! Garnet! I found the gem!"

Garnet smiled and gave Steven a thumbs up " Nice work Steven, I'm proud of you."

Pearl was also smiling " Oh that's great Steven!"

"Great detective work Sherlock," Amethyst said laughing slightly

"Her names Turquoise, her gems cracked and she's badly hurt. We need to take her back to the temple now. But she's still really nervous and scared so you guys go on ahead, I'll walk her there to make her feel more comfortable."

Garnet kneels down in front of Steven " Thats very sweet of you Steven, we will see you soon then, just be careful."

"I will" Steven answers confidently

"Come on guys lets go", Garnet says to the others

Amethyst turns into a helicopter "All aboard the Amethyst-copter"

They all get in and fly back.

Steven walks back over to Turquoise and puts his arm around her shoulder again and starts walking slowly at her pace. She stopped suddenly

"Hey, Steven?"

"Yes, Turquoise?"

She smiles gratefully " Thank you"

Steven smiles back at her " No problem."
