Two Opposite Ends

First POV

I was walking towards the building, with my friends, Jaiden and Tessa. As it was our apartment complex.

"Well. That was fun." Tessa said as she smiles sweetly at me. As i smiled back also. "Yeah. We should do this again, sometime."

Jaiden skips and kicks a pebble as it skitters towards the road. We take a turn. Until we started to hear some sirens. We look towards the road, and see three police cars passing by. We stare at it, as they pass by, and take a sharp turn around the corner, where we were just at.

We look at eachother in confusion, until, I someone running...and started to climb the ladders. I than look back at the red and blue blinking lights, and swished my head back to the girl...Or boy...?

But without thinking, or taking a thought about it. I rushed into the building, leaving my friends behind, confused, and startled by my actions.

I run through the lobby, greeted by the nice lady; rushing towards the stairs, as it left the front desk lady confused on why I was running.

I opened the heavy door, that led to the staircases, all the way to the balcony.

I think I had never ran so fast in my life. In one blink of an eye. I was already almost to the top.

I reach the metal doors. And swung them open. I walk towards out the open. And look around.

'Wasn't this the building that person climbed on?' I thought.

I dont know what, or even why I ran here. Is this fate?

I than hear someone climbing up, on the ladders. And look over at what I thought were the ladders were, and hear a feminine voice.

'Is it her? Or him?'

And than they throw themselves over the gravel. And land with a thud, and whatever they were carrying. Than, they got up and looked over at the edge. And smirked. "Heh, got 'em." She said loudly, than, the door closes, making a loud thud. She turns around, and we face eachother.

She was probably around my age. But...what is she doing running away from the police?

Than her eyes, from relaxed, to a terrified look. But she looks at me, up and down. As I did the same.

She had a black short-boy haircut, and snakebite piercings below her pink smooth lips.

I walk closer to her, as she steps back a little. She looks back at me, and makes a disgusted face. But was not clearly seen.

"Shes probably up here!" Someone yelles from below. She looks down at the ladder, and I could tell someone was coming up. She looks over at me. And glares. "You never saw me. Got it?!" I nod, as she.huffs and grabs her bag, and runs towards the door where I came from. Slams it open, as it made a loud thud. And she races down the stairs. Until I couldn't see her anymore.

I was in awe. Until one of the cops tapped my shoulder. I turned around. And faced them. They had a straight face on. So that was kinda intimidating. I think thats what they were going for, to be honest.

"Have you seen a girl, with a black and white hoodie that blends together, and has short hair, with piercings on.her bottom lip?" He asks. I shake my head no.

He sighs annoyed, and said "Please keep an eye out for her, okay?" I nod slowly. And he nods. As he heads for the metal door. And walks down the stairs and takes out his walkie-talkie and speaks into it. But I couldn't hear what he was saying. As he left my sight. I turned away from the door. And looked over at the city. With one question in my head.

"Who was that girl?"
