Recap:

"Lady Palutena, ready the extraction beam."

Suddenly, a golden beam surrounds us, and we disappear.

Kana's PoV

My vision blurs, then we appear above the clouds. For some reason, I have white wings, but I don't know how to operate them, so I start to fall. Just as a scream leaves my mouth, a hand grabs mine. I look up, and Pit is there, his wings glowing blue.

"What the.. Pit, I thought you couldn't fly!" I say.

"Lady Palutena can give me the Power of Flight, but only for five minutes," he replies. "Follow me to her temple."
I concentrate on my wings, and I can feel an extension of muscle there, so I focus on moving it and they move. I feel light and free once I realize I can move my wings, so I keep flapping until I can sustain a gliding position. Pit is faster than I am, so I work on catching air currents to go faster, and soon I am alongside him.

"Come on!" he yells over the wind, and we both catch the same wind current and shoot forward, and soon through the clouds I can see a huge stone town-temple-area-thing floating in the sky.

"How does it float?" I ask.

"Lady Palutena's magic sustains its levitation," Pit tells me. He's using big words? What's gotten into him? We zip forward until we hover over the temple courtyard. Pit performs a somersault in the air and lands safely on his feet, but I crash to the ground feet-first and stumble to my knees.

"Ow!" I exclaim.

"You've got to work on your landing," Pit snickers. I shoot a death glare at him.

Then, a dark blur descends in front of us, and a low voice- not unlike that of Pit's -teases,

"Hey there, Pit-stain."

"Pittoo!" Pit exclaims. I can now more easily see who had taunted Pit. He is nearly identical to Pit, which is strange. The only differences are that this angel's hair, wings, and tunic are black, his eyes are amber-red rather than blue, and he uses a bow instead of having two orbs by his side.

"Pittoo? That's the most pathetic name I've ever heard," I snicker. The darker Pit looks at me and says,

"Finally, someone agrees with me," he complains. "Don't call me that, Pit!"

"Yeah, really, Pit. If I had that name, I wouldn't want to live," I reply. "Anyway, who are you?"

"I am Dark Pit, servant to no other but myself!"

I saw a gleam in his ruby eyes and felt a fluttering in my heart.

What's wrong with me?
