unexpected

chapter 1 - "was that the cops?"

Several feet were pounding on the sidewalk as the police were determined to find the one they had been looking for. The police sirens were shrieking throughout the neighbourhood. What they didn't know was that the one they had been searching for was only a couple of feet away from them, hiding in peoples yards searching for a place to go. He pulled out his phone and began to frantically type in a phone number. He waited for the other line to pick up and when it was picked up he immediately spoke up.

"Hey I know that we haven't talked in a while, but I really need your help" He breathed out.

"Well this is a call I was definitely not expecting" The unknown caller responded. 

"I know, all of my friends have abandoned me and I had no one else to call. Are you willing to help me or not?"

"Sure what's up?" The police come riding by their sirens blaring on the other line."Wait was that the cops?"

"Yes that's why I called. I kinda got into a little trouble with the cops and now I am stuck in this neighborhood cause my friends drove off and now the cops blocked all the exits."

"I don't even want to know what you did to get in this mess." he chuckled "What neighbourhood are you in? Maybe you know someone who lives there."

"I think it's called Seeley Heights and I know that I don't know anyone here cause I would have gone to them already." 

"Alright...wait I think I know one girl that lives there that could help you out."

"Who is it?"

"I don't think that you will know her, but just tell her that I sent you and tell her your situation I am sure she'll understand."

"So I'm just supposed to walk up to this girl-that I don't know and be like 'hey I'm being chased by the cops wanna help me out?' I don't think so."

"Well do you have any other options?" He questioned.

"I guess not, but what if she calls the cops on me?"

"Trust me she won't. Now stop wasting time and just go to her house. I'll send you the address. Also don't knock on her door, just climb through her window, her room is at the back of the house, furthest one to the right on the top floor."

"Even better I'm breaking into a girls house that I don't even know. Does she at least go to our school?"

"Yeah"

"Alright I'm here wish me luck." He said in an unexcited tone. 

"Goodluck man," He laughed.

"Wait! you never told me who she was."

"Oh yeah. Well it's Lola Harris"
