Taehyun's POV

We were at the resto since we had lunch with my brothers and Halmoni.

Halmoni seems convinced that I already have a girlfriend. But I still have to pretend, we still have to.

All of a sudden my dad and mom came.

"Having fun without us?" My dad said

"And oh, we have a guest" My mom said

"She's my girlfriend, mom" I said

Jangmi bowed to them but only dad was happy to see her.

"We never thought that our Taehyun got himself a girl. I hope you'd be patient with him" My dad said

"I will sir" Jangmi replied

"Call me Dad" He smiled.

As mom and dad were eating, mom broke the silence.

"Ms. "I don't know who" how old are you?"

"Mom she's Jangmi." I said

"I'm 22 now, Ma'am." Jangmi replied

"Yes, call me Ma'am since you're not a part of our family"

"Mom." Soobin-hyung said

"Where did you meet my son?"

"We met at a--"

"At the mall mom" I said

"Where do your parents work?"

"I'm an orphan."

"Mom, stop please." Yeonjun-hyung said

Mom is being too nossy now.

"You're an orphan?"

"Yes ma'am"

"What's your work?"

"I work online--"

"Stay away from my son"

"WHAT MOM?!" I asked

"I'm telling her to stay away from you. She's an orphan. And she doesn't have a decent job to support her needs."

I saw the look on Jangmi's face. She was just trying to smile and not to cry.

I held her hand and looked at her eyes as if asking her if she's okay. Her tears are about to drop. But she still smiled at me.

"What's wrong of being an orphan?"

We were all startled when she spoke.

"Are you--"

"Was it my fault if I'm just an orphan? And please stop using this ma'am to bring me down. I'm just an orphan but i'm a good person"

"You're such a--"

"Dear, stop. Jangmi, I'm sorry for this." My dad said
