A/N: hey everyone, its flowerstar-lightclan here starting a super addition of one of my favorite villians in the warrior cat series, mapleshade, who I thought didn't deserve to be in the dark forest because all she did was love a riverclan cat and I do know its against the warrior code to love a cat from a different clan but as bluestar said in her super addition, "aren't we all the same?". So yeah and there will be dark forest cats in here like shredtail, maggottail and some others. This will have shredtail x mapleshade in it. Also this story was inspired by rainy daze writer's story, "mapleshade' destiny" go check that out, its on fanfiction.net. I will be also starting a rant on here called warrior cat rants so when I can I will start on that. Now enjoy the prologue.
Mapleshade walked through the dark forest, passing all the other cats that were there like darkstripe, tigerstar, brokenstar, scourge, bone, thistleclaw, maggottail, antpelt and shredtail. Like thistleclaw, mapleshade knew she didn't belong in the dark forest. "Am I evil.... even though the thing I ever did was love?" She thought as she sat down on the ground and stared at her paws. "No, you're not evil" someone said behind her. She turned around to see a gray tom with blue eyes. "Who are you?" She hissed at him. "I'm ashfur of thunderclan and I have proposition for you" he said.
Her ears perked up and sat down, interested in what he has to say. "Ok what's the offer?" She asks. "I'll tell you but first, follow me"he said then ran towards the border between starclan and the dark forest. She quickly followed him, only to be led into a clearing with some familiar cats like mapleshade's mother and father, spottedflower and robinstar, her brother, spruceflight, her mentor, rosenose and her former mate, appledusk. Mapleshade's heart swelled with emotions as she looked at these cats. "The cats I cared about" she thought. She sat down next to ashfur and asked "why did you bring me here?". "To get approval from these cats" he meowed softly. "For what?" Mapleshade asked, looking very confused. "To go back in time and start your life all over again so you can right what you did wrong" ashfur said, sitting next to appledusk, who was watching mapleshade very closely.
First, robinstar and spottedflower stepped foward. For a while, they just stared at their daughter with a sad expression before spottedflower got closer to mapleshade and pressed her muzzle against her forehead. "Mapleshade, I am sorry for I what did that day you had your kits, it was not their fault their father was a riverclan cat and for everything, I give you approval to begin your new life" she meowed softly with sadness in her voice. "I do too" robinstar said, licking mapleshade between her ears. Mapleshade felt a tinge of hapiness, something she hasn't felt for so many moons.
The next cat to walk up to her was rosenose. She saw a mixture of disapointment and sorrow in her old mentor's eyes. "I should have been there to make sure this didn't happen, mapleshade, and because I wasn't, everything that has happened is my fault so I grant you " she said, pressing her nose against mapleshade's muzzle. "No, rosenose, you were like a mother to me and I'm grateful for everything you did" mapleshade said, licking in between her old mentor's ears. Rosenose purred and walked back, letting spruceflight step foward. "Mapleshade, my only littermate, I am sorry to have let our father kick you out of thunderclan like that, I should have seen past ferretfoot's lies so to make up my mistakes, I will let you go back in time to start your life again" he said with sorrow and stepped back before mapleshade could say anything to him.
The last cat to come up to mapleshade was appledusk. She felt a pang of sadness and hatred towards, remembering how he accused her of killing his kits then drove her out of riverclan territory. "Mapleshade, I'm sorry for not believing you when you said you tried to save our kits but now I want to make it up to you by letting you have a second chance" he said as looked down at his paws. She just looked at him then nodded. "Then its settled, you will be sent back in time to begin your life again" ashfur said. Mapleshade watched as all the acient warrior cats surrounded her then everything went black for her.
