King David lay, tied up on the ground. Max stared out the window of the castle. Thinking over what he was doing. He was the villain of the story. Captured the kingdom and the king. He felt a set of hands touch his shoulders. "You're doing even better than I thought! From rags to riches just as I thought."
Someone said, sounding deviously happy.
Max can't help but smile. Not one in his life had praised him. Not like this. Maybe this was okay. "Thanks, Daniel." He said. Feeling very happy with himself. Despite Daniel's manipulation.
Rebels in the distance, Max knew they wanted to take their home back. But Max didn't care. It was time for him to rise up. For the poor and unloved Max to be seen. To be better than he ever was. Daniel was helping him.
"I may be the enemy in this story. But I will make this my story. I won't be the abandoned and lonely person I used to be!! It is my legacy!!!"
