Basic idea for this is that David is trying to snap Max out of his purification trance.

Max smiled at David. Not like a troublesome smile. More like an eerie smile. One that could make anyone shiver. Max was still under Daniel's influence, despite how Daniel was gone now. The normally moody boy, was eeriely happy.
Max grabbed onto David's vest. His wide eyes making sure to catch David's. He smiled wider, it that was possible. In his free hand was still a red cup of kool aid.
Max opened his mouth, speaking in a monotone voice. "Where is Daniel? When will we ascend?"
