I groan loudly as I'm becoming more and more impatient. I've been sitting on a stool for what seems like hours as Juliet curls my hair long copper hair into little ringlets. After that she decides to pluck daisies from the pasture and weave them into my waterfall braid. I am about to slide off the chair when she begins with makeup. I groan louder.
" I've never done anything to my hair, and I've never done my makeup ever. Juels I'm a country girl, a cowgirl, not a city one." From the mirror I see her role her eyes, and she playfully snaps at me
" Exactly why I'm here, I swear you forgot your a girl" The last dab of concealer, completes my look. I look into the mirror, and cock my head to the side. I've never had the chance to look in a mirror for this long before. Back at home it's always strictly been go, go, go. I've never had the time to do this. Bright green eyes do look great when dark makeup surrounds them. Thank god I told her to keep it to a minimum, she has a whole box filled with bottles full of makeup. I snap out of it as Juels hands me a dress, even though the corset style of it is beautiful. I shake my head no and retreat to the bedroom. Returning, in a pair of short jean shorts, and checkered shirt. Although the shorts are short, I still have respect for myself. To top the outfit off I decide to wear my good old cowboy boots. Just as I'm about to head downstairs Juels stops me.
" Libs, we're going to a beach, you should use flip flops" I raise my eye brows in question, back home there wasn't no other shoe then riding boot or cowboy boots. Mom always said any other shoe wasn't useful. Rolling her eyes, Juels hands me a pair of ' flip flops'. With the designing Roxy across the heel, and a sunset print, I'd say these are too pretty to be worn. I look up at her from the bed, as I slide them on. I take in how gorgeous she is. Our mothers eyes, was something she inherited too, except she took Mom's bright blond locks. Straightened straighter then a ruler, and a loose dress, cause me to look at her in awe.
" Juels you sure are gorgeous" Putting her hand on her hip, she smirks. Doing some type of model walk around the room causes me to laugh. Our fun is cut short when the yells of the impatient twins echos throughout the place. Juels and I exchange looks before we race each other down the stairs. Not to brag, but being as graceful as I am, would do a lot better then Juels in those heels. Hitting the last stair she nearly breaks an ankle. At the bottom of the stairs, the boys lean against the kitchen's island they're arms crossed. Almost as if rehearsed they all state
" Your not going like that" Juels eyebrows narrow and fury is written all over her face. Turning on those tiny little heels, she begins to go up stairs until I speak up
" No, I am going like this." As if I dropped a secret, I hear Juels stop moving, and the boy's jaws drop. Too bad Momma taught me not to take anything I don't believe in. Enranged I walk up to them pointing my index finger into Brad's chest and moving down the row as I speak
" There is no way I am going to change after I just endured the longest and most boring experience of my life, and I'm not about to let you tell me it's not alright." Ryan mumbles and Dad's head nods in agreement
" But the boys will be all over you." I laugh so hard, tears begin to brim my eyes. I clutch my stomach and nearly double over. Through breaths I gasp
" I've fought bears and cougars sense I was seven years old, do you really think boy's are going to be any harder. Momma's boxing lessons didn't go to waste" I hold up my fists, and spread my feet out evenly, as if I'm going to actually fight. I kept my expression serious until Dad cracks a smile. Pulling me into a hug, I can't help but smirk into his sweater. When I pull back, I start to head to the door, opening the screen I reach onto the wall grabbing the keys.
