After the Crash

"I don't want to talk about it right now, mom! I'm just so mad at Kalob! I'm completely in love with him, but he's just making me so upset and confused, I think I'm going to stay the night at Zoella's is that ok?" Elena tells her mother.

"That's fine with me. Drive safe honey, I love you!"

"Love you too!"

Elena hangs up and dials Jordan's number, as she looks up she sees two bright headlights racing toward her.

"Beep ... Beep ... Beep ... Beep." I heard as I began to open my eyes.

I look over to the left of me to see three blurry people, one woman and two men. Once my vision became I clear I realized those three people are my mom, dad, and my brother.

Then, I look to my right and see one tall blonde boy who was slim, and a tall brunette boy who was muscular. I look over to my mom and asked,"Who are those two boys over there?" She looks at the two boys and she replies saying,"Well their names are Kalob and Jordan."

I look to my right to see the brunette boy looking down at me with a smile. I could tell that his smile was a fake smile by seeing the sadness in his eyes, but I smiled back. Then, I look over to the blonde boy and said, "Hi" They were both cute and seemed very familiar.

I look at my mom and ask, "Where am I?" "You don't remember sweetie?" She replied putting her hand on my shoulder. "No, why?" I asked puzzled.

I jerk my head toward Jordan while he spoke, "You're in the hospital, you were in a serious car accident you're lucky you were trying to call me when you got hit or else you wouldn't have been found in time." I looked at him with a worried and confused expression on my face, "What do you mean, in time?" He looked at my mom but was cut off as the door was opened.

"Good morning!" The nurse said closing the door. I replied back saying the same. She asked me how I felt, and I told her "Normal, but my head and my arm hurts." "I know, you must have hit your head when your car was tumbling over. Actually you must have hit it pretty hard to lose your memory.

"Your arm on the other hand I will have to look at. Do you feel like you can walk?" I nodded, very sure I was capable of walking, does this lady think I'm a one year old now?

Jordan and Kalob helped me out of the hospital bed making sure not to hurt my arm, "Follow me." The nurse said when I was completely out of the bed. We walked past maybe seven rooms until she stopped in front of a cream painted steel door and unlocked it.

She told me to sit on those things that you sit on at a doctor's office, I walked over and plopped down on the thing, I don't know what it's called so I call it a thing.

She takes out a machine and told me to put my arm in it. I looked at her like she was crazy.

"I'm taking you're X-Rey to see if your arm is broken." I nodded and stuck my arm in the machine in front of me and waited a few minuets until I heard a "beep beep." She told me to take my arm out, and to walk back to my room. When I walked in everyone looked over at me and helped me back into the bed."She said she'd be back soon with the results." I told them to break the awkward silence, they all nodded.

A few minuets passed and the nurse walks in, "Well good news is your arm isn't broken its just bruised."

Now, about your memory loss, I have a few recommendations on doctors. One thing before I get to that is what I've realized what works for some people, but not all, is to sleep. It's worked for a few patients of mine and for two of my good friends, who all were in car accidents.

My mom looked at me smiling and said, "Well the sleeping part won't be very hard!" I giggled in agreement, and Kalob looked down at me and smiled.

I got as comfy as I could, those hospital beds are so uncomfortable.

"While Elena sleeps I'll talk about doctors and appointments."

"Did you get number eight yet?" I asked looking up at Kalob smiling.

He smiled at me and said, "Why, so you can cheat?

"No!" I said giggling, and then... he started tickling me

I yelled in between laughs," STOP IT TICKLES OH MY GOD STOP!!"

Laughing louder my mom walked in saying jokingly, "Ok you two I'm thinking it's more like play time now than study time!"

I blushed " Sorry." Kalob said, "We'll be quiet!" I told my mom giggling.

My mom looked at me and said, Y'all have school tomorrow I don't want you up late, y'all can hang out tomorrow, but this time at Kalob's house!"

I mimicked her and threw my pillow at her, but she blocked it with my door and laughed. I walked Kalob to his car and gave him a hug and a kiss goodnight.

"Elena, Elena? Sweetie wake up, I have good news!" My mom said trying to wake me up which, like always is never easy.

"What is it?" I said as I was opening my eyes.

"You get to leave in a few days!"

I looked at her and exclaimed,"YAY!" I said super happily.

"You get to see all your friends soon!" My mom said trying to make me more excited.

I looked at her with a straight face, "Who are my friends?"

"You'll see sweetie." My mom replied smiling, but of course I saw the tears forming in her eyes, which made me tear up too.
