Oh, Such a Wonderful Morning

"BEB BEEP BEB BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP"

I shot up looking over towards my alarm clock "6:00?" I blurted wondering why my alarm clock was going off, I'm not supposed to be going to school...

My mom walks in with a tray of eggs and bacon, "Oh no, no, no!"

"Good morning sweety!" My mom said oh so joyfully, a little too joyfully.

"Eat some thing, today is a big day!" I rolled my eyes, and said, sarcastically "I can't wait!"

She gave me an evil eye, and I looked at her with an innocent look on my face trying to make her feel bad for making me go to school.

"You'll be fine, you'll see your friends, this is to help your memory."

"More like torture me."

"Stop, Elena, this is good for you."

I rolled my eyes and ate the rest my breakfast. "The doctor said sleep is good for me"

I got up and went to my closet and picked out the most comfortable thing I could find, leggings and my favorite sweatshirt... Andrew's sweatshirt! I remember, this is his!

I walked out of my room with the biggest smile. I was really happy I remembered his sweat shirt! I walked in my bathroom and did my makeup, my usual, just mascara. After I brushed my teeth I grabbed my bag and walked to the bus stop which, thankfully, isn't far.

Looking up, from my phone, I see people staring at me. Confused I asked, "Why are y'all staring at me?" Everyone looked away, I rolled my eyes, but one guy kept staring, "Why don't you take a picture, it lasts longer." I told the weird guy, still, staring at me. The guy laughed and I rolled my eyes again.

I heard the bus pull up, and was the first one on so I could get a good seat, but all the seats had someone in it. I found an empty seat all the way in the back, sat down, and said under my breath "thank god!" Then, out of no where the boy who was staring at me sat in the seat next to me, "Hey, Elena." I took out my one of my ear buds, rolled my eyes, and gave him a blank look. "Oh yeah, you don't remember." I smiled, & nodded, "Hi."

"Do you remember me?"

"No, sorry."

"It's ok."

I smiled and put my ear bud back in.

When I walked into school so many people came up to me, but there was only one I remembered, Kalob. He grabbed my hand and we walked through the crowd and went straight to his locker, "You know that's my sweatshirt." He said with the biggest smile on his face.

"I know, that's why I wore it today."

He kissed my cheek and I kissed his back. He seemed shocked, but he smiled.

I hear a voice that sounded familiar come up and say, "Morning, I didn't know you were coming back to school!"

I turned around and saw Jordan, "Yeah my mom thinks it'll help with memories and stuff."

Jordan looked at Kalob, it felt awkward, but I ignored that thought, "So, what's my first period?"

"Math." They both told me like they rehearsed to be at the same time.

"I'll walk you, you have that class with me." Kalob told me.

"Do I have a locker?"

Kalob told me before Jordan had a chance, "Yeah. I'll take you and show you your combo."

"Thanks."

"Ding... Ding... Ding"

"Thank god he didn't make me take the math test!"
