The New Kid

"Morning!" I said cheerfully as I got in Zoella's car. "Morning! Wanna hear the new thing?" She asked as she backed out of my driveway and we headed off to school. "Yeah!" I eclaimed intrigued. "So, there's a new kid at the school! His name is Nathan, he's from New York, he's in our grade, and apparently he's hot!" "Wow! Well, that's another boy added to Caitlin's to-do list." I joked winking and elbowing her. "Oh my gosh." She said laughing. "We'll have to save him." "Yeah!" "Ok, whoever gets him in their class first then, try and sit with him, I know we are getting new seats in most classes so it should be easy!" "Ok!"

When we got to school we immediately went to our lockers and to class. "Hey!" Kalob said as he sat next to me. "Hey!" I said as I gave him a peck on the cheek. "Did you hear about the new guy?" Kalob asked. "Yeah!" "Well, keep him away from Caitlin." He said winking at me. I laughed, "You know me so well." He gave me a confused look. "I've already got a plan with Zoella." He laughed and turned to our teacher who was now in front of the white board. "Ok class, let's get started." He began blabbing about all this stupid algebra stuff and what felt like years later the bell rang.

I met Zoella and Jenna in our usual spots and headed to theatre. "So, was he in your class?" Zoella asked Jenna and me. "No." We both replied. "What about you?" Jenna asked looking at Zoella. "Nope." We sat down in theatre and talked about our new assignment. We made the script and assigned parts all in that class. "Ok. So, if he's in our next period sit with him!" I said jokingly flailing my arms around. "Ok!" Zoella responded laughing at how determined we are to make sure he stayed away from Caitlin.

I walked into science to see that we had changed lab partners but seats were already assigned, "Please, please, please." I begged in a whisper as I looked at the seating chart 'YES!' I exclaimed relieved in my head. Taking my seat I asked the new kid, casually, "Hi, are you new?" "Yeah, I'm Nathan." "I'm Elena." "So, is this teacher nice?" He asked smiling. "Oh, yeah! He's so cool, all we really do is cool experiments." "Awesome!" He exclaimed. "Yeah, what's your lunch?" "A." "Me too! Do you want to sit with me?" "Yeah, sure!" As our teacher walked in we all turned towards him. "Good morning everyone! Today we have a new student, Nathan." He turned to Nathan and motioned him to come next to him. "Tell us about yourself." "Well, I'm from New York and I like football." He said looking at me the whole time. "Ok, thank you, Nathan."

After that class Zoella, Mary-Cate, Jenna and I all met up where we usually do. "Hey." Zoella said. "Hey, do you mind if Nathan sits with us?" I asked looking at Nathan who was standing next to me. "Of course! I'm Zoella." "Hi, I'm Mary-Cate." "Hey, I'm Jenna." "Hi, thanks for letting me sit with you guys." "Of course!" I said as we all sat down at the table. "This is Kalob, my boyfriend. I said introducing Nathan to everyone.

"Where's Mr. Gonzales English?" Nathan asked realizing lunch was almost over. "Oh just follow me I'm in that class, so is Kalob!" Nathan looked at Kalob, "You can hang with us during advisory if you want." Kalob said. "Ok!" Nathan replied at we all got up and headed to class. As we all walked to class I noticed Jordan walking alone. "I be right back." I whispered to Mary-Cate.

"I'm sorry." Jordan rushed out as I approached. "It's ok." He looked up kind of shocked. "Just don't do it again." I said winking and giving him a bro hug. He smiled, "Go with Kalob before he gets mad." "Not unless you come with me!" I said pulling his arm. "Ok." I smiled and walked up next to Zoella.

During advisory we all joked, laughed, told stories, and got to know Nathan. We all got Nathan's number invade he needed help or anything and he asked me if he and I could hang out after school and I told him yeah. He's nice, funny, and I like him! I hope Kalob likes him so there isn't anymore drama, I'm so sick of that!

After school ended Nathan and I met up at the front of the school. "Hey." He said as I got close. "Hey." "So, what don't you have a car?" He asked teasing me in a joking way. "I crashed it." "Oh!" "I'm ok, sort of." "What do you mean?" He asked with a worried and curious expression. "I'm ok but, I lost my memory." "Oh my gosh! I'm so sorry!" "It's fine it's coming back slowly." "Well, good." "Yeah, on Friday I'm going to the doctor to talk about my memory and stuff." "Why?" "My mom said it's not coming back at the pace it should do they're gonna give us a few ideas on how to get it back or something." "Oh." "Yeah. I'm kinda excited because I really want to remember Kalob, Mary-Cate, Jenna, Zoella, Jordan, and all the memories I have." "Well, I'm hope they help." Nathan said as we got in his car.

"So, do you want a snack?" I asked Nathan as we walked through my front door. "Sure." He said as we walked into my room. "Ok, do you want me to show you around my house?" "Yeah." He said and we both giggled. Once I finished showing him around my house and getting our snacks we began on algebra homework.

"Did you get number 13?" Nathan asked. "Yeah." I responded looking up at him. He smiled and stole my homework sheet. "Jackpot!" He said scribbling down the answers while I laughed and made a sad attempt to try and steal my paper back.

When we finished homework, well when Nathan finished cheating off of me, we watched a movie... or five. We watched 22 Jump Street, 21 Jump Street, Guardians of the Galaxy, The Interview, and since Nathan had never seen The Conjuring I made him watch it with me.

"Oh my god, I cannot believe you can watch that stuff." Nathan said making me laugh harder, I was still cracking up at every reaction he had during the movie. "I only watch them with certain friends." I said laughing. "You're crazy." He said jokingly with wide eyes. "I know." I said laughing.

I looked over at the clock, "Crap!" "What?" "It's 12!" "Oh shoot!" "Yeah, it's weird my mom didn't make us stop-" I cut myself off, "She's out of town." "She let's you stay home alone when she's out of town?" Nathan asked shocked. "Yeah, it's something my parents do to get me ready for college." "Oh, but where's your dad then?" "My parents are divorced." "Oh." "Yeah, well we better get to bed!" "Oh, yeah!" He and I laughed and I walked him out, "Night, see you tomorrow!" Nathan hollered as he got in his car, "Night, drive safe!" I hollered back as he shut his car door and drove away. Walking inside I headed to my kitchen to get a snack and saw the Olaf cupcake I made for Kalob and keep forgetting to give it to him!

After I got my snack I put Kalob's cupcake on the counter on top of a tuba ware since it was in the fridge and he and I hate our cupcakes cold. I put my backpack next to it so I wouldn't for get and decided it's too late to wash my hair so I went straight to bed.

"Beep... Beep!" I heard as I hit my alarm clock to snooze. Again a minute later, "Beep... Beep!" I turned over to look at my alarm clock and saw that it was 7:00 I shot up, quickly brushed my teeth, got dressed, grabbed a hair brush, ponytail holders, my mascara, my eyelash curler, put Kalob's cupcake in the tuba ware then in my backpack, and headed out the door. "Wow." Zoella said as I got into her car. "I know, I know, I look like a mess. I just woke up." "Why?" "I was up too late last night with Nathan and I must have slept through my alarm." "Oh, what did y'all do?" "Algebra homework, watched movies, and talked." "Oh." "When we get to school I need to tell you, Mary-Cate, Jenna, Kalob, and Jordan something!" "Ok!" Zoella said sounding excited. "I'm gonna text everyone." I said as I pulled out my phone sighing in relief that I remembered it.

When we got to school I rushed to my locker to meet everyone. "Hey, so what is it?" Jenna asked as I finally got to my locker and everyone was there, including Nathan even though I told him already. "On Friday when my mom comes home we are going to a new doctor Mary-Cate's uncle recommended and they're going to give us new ideas and stuff to help me get my memory back since it apparently isn't coming back at the rate it should be." "Oh my god, that's awesome!" Kalob said placing a kiss on my forehead. "That's amazing!" Zoella said giving me a big hug, same as Jenna and Mary-Cate.

The bell for five minutes left before first period rang and we all decided to head to class. "Well, I better get to class before I'm late!" I said looking at Nathan and laughing. "What?" Kalob asked in complete confusion. "I'll tell you in a sec." I replied and Kalob narrowed his brows at me.

"Nathan and I hung out last night and watched too many movies. He left at 12 and I woke up at 7 this morning so, I was just teasing him." I told Kalob as we sat down in math class. "Oh." He responded laughing. "What?" I asked with a raised brow. "Your just so cute." Kalob responded giving me a kiss. I pulled away as I realized the teacher was now in the room and was staring us down. "Don't make me move you two." He said sternly causing me to giggle a little and shrink back in my chair.

"I have something for you!" I said as Kalob and I walked out of class. "What?" I pulled out the Olaf cupcake that was in my backpack, "Oh my god, he's so cute!" Kalob yelled as he saw the adorable Olaf cupcake. "Did you buy it or make it?" "I made it." "Yay! Your baking is amazing! You used to always bake and I loved it!" "Awe, cool!" "You should start again." He said winking at me. "I will!" I said then gave him a kiss. "Well, I'll see you at lunch, love you." Kalob said as he put the cupcake in his bag. "Ok, love you too."

I just cannot wait until Friday!
